Absoluely awful experience redeeming a Wowcher via Travel Crew.

Bought two Wowchers for a weekend in Venice which included a hotel, flights and Gondola ride. Seemed like a good deal so went ahead and redeemed with Wowchers with the Travel Crew website as per the Wowchers terms. Waited patiently for Travel Crew to contact me to redeem the booking.
Travel Crew then phoned and began trying to upsell different ‘more preferable’ flights. Explained that I would just take the flights which would be included in my Wowcher, the flight times were awful but I didn’t expect much given the cost of the Wowcher. They explained they would have to go to their supplier and would get back to me once the flights were confirmed or I could pay extra for the preferable flights and book immediately. This seemed odd to me but I waited and after being prompted they called the next day.
Now there were now no flights available whatsoever apart from the ones they tried to upsell me. A cursory internet search clearly showed there were many flights available from many airports. I explained that I just wanted what I had paid for but they were unable to supply anything at all. The listed hotel as per the Wowcher was also apparently unavailable and a less desirable and cheaper alternative was offered.
I explained that they were advertising and selling a product that they couldn’t supply and so I would like a refund. They explained that this wasn’t possible and I would have to contact Wowcher before trying to get me to exchange the vouchers for a break away in England. I explained again that I just wanted what I had paid for. Travel Crew continued that they were unable to supply the product.
In the desperate hope of getting something close to what I had paid for I explained that I would book and pay my own flights if they could at least honour the hotel and Gondola ride. Clearly this was much less then what I had paid for originally. Then to my astonishment I was told there would be £20 admin fee for not booking flights through them!!!
Shocked and disappointed I explained that I wouldn’t be paying any extra for getting less then originally paid for . I once again requested a refund as I had been miss sold a product that simply wasn’t available. This was flat out refused.
As predicted emails and WhatsApp’s to Wowcher and Travel Crew go unanswered.
Please do yourselves a favour and avoid both these companies. Yes the offers seem good but they are for products and services that are simply unavailable.

Completing our booking was made very easy and informative through Steven and would highly recommend.

Spoke to Steven who dealt with my holiday to Amsterdam, got a deal on wowcher was confused about the deal and Steven helped and explained it all. we had to pay extra as the flights weren’t good options on the package but not there fault wowcher should show you the flights before you book it. So I’d ring them and double check before you actually buy but still worked out cheaper than all the others we looked at. I had the poor man’s head up the wall and he still helped me through out.

We booked a get away to santorini in oct 25 through woucher it looked appealingly they took the money and we waited for a call from travel crew as everyone has stated upselling began … fights out of Stansted snd back to a different airport !!!! A flat no agreed to Gatwick there and back another£188 each agreed to that then no accommodation available so changed accommodation too. Then read reviews we were horrified !!!! So rung eastyjet they had no record if flights booked, on phone 2 hrs managed to find them. Said we could book in now 4 weeks to go so i did…. Then email hotel they took s week to get back to us still no paperwork from travel crew!!! Yes we had s reservation thank god ! So then waited on tendered hooks to flight day BUT… i have to say when we arrived had been upgraded to amazing hotel and all was well it was an w holiday but we realise we could of booked much cheaper ourselves woucher are scamming people out if their money it is not what is advertised be aware and much dearer than advertised too also there is no refund The other thing that astounded me is that my friend was told to write a review while he stayed on the phone !!! So u guess these good reviews are from people who havent even gone yet??? No tefunds allowed after your purchase the saying goes you only get what you pay for so be aware in my opinion they should be investigated as you are miss selling snd people have a right to their money back and not be allowed to get away with it as it is very stressful worrying about it til the holiday arrives I have to say we were one of the lucky ones in this case but we will never do this again for us we will nopk ir ourselves next time

I have now been complaining to this 'company' since 30 Aug. I have refused to book with them, as the holiday they were selling through Wowcher was a complete fabrication and only available if I was prepared to pay over double the price advertised. They are refusing to return my money, are ignoring all correspondence and are destroying my mental health. The ongoing stress is making me ill, humans at Wowcher do not exist and Klarna are not helping either. Absolute travesty - how are they allowed to get away with breaking the law with consumer rights?!

I had a very disappointing experience with TravelCrew regarding a flight booking for my son from Edinburgh (EDI) to Newark (EWR) on United Airlines. We paid extra for unaccompanied minor assistance, which was confirmed by the agent (Ralph) at the time of booking.

However, when my son travelled, United Airlines confirmed they had never received any such request from TravelCrew, and he had to travel completely without any assistance — despite us having paid for the service.

It has now been over two years, and even after repeated follow-ups, I keep getting the same response that their BSP team is still processing the refund. There has been no resolution or refund, and the communication has been extremely disappointing.

I expected a more responsible and professional approach from a company handling flight bookings for minors.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend TravelCrew — especially for families booking special assistance services.

I did send an email again today, lets see what reply I get ???
