Mixed messages have made me question whether to buy
I was about to order the SS80, but I’m now having reservations due to the inconsistent information from Vidalux.
I received an email offering a £25 discount, only to find the offer apparently applies only to sale items — something not mentioned in the email. I then received a “special” giveaway email dated June 7th–30th, despite it now being August.
More importantly, I was told by email that the SS80 could be supplied with a freestanding stool and swapped for the drop-down seat. Having decided on the drop-down seat, I was then told via chat that it was not available on this model, I queried the previous contradictory email, then told that it was available but fitting it involves considerable work removing and refitting the steam generator.
None of these issues individually would be a major concern, but taken together the conflicting information does not give me much confidence in the company’s communication or potential after-sales support. I’m now hesitant to place the order.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, though we need to clear a few things up regarding the information you received, as there is a perfectly logical explanation for all of this.
The Discount Code: Just like almost every retailer out there, our discount codes will never work on items that are already discounted. You cannot double-dip on sales. If the item is already reduced, the system will naturally reject an additional £25 off.
The SS80 Drop-Down Seat: There is a very good reason you received seemingly mixed answers—it’s a complex request. The flip-down seat is not officially sold as an accessory for the steam version of this shower because it requires modification to fit. You absolutely can fit it if you really want to, but it means disassembling some parts on the rear to make space around the steam generator. One agent gave you the official "it's not an accessory for this model" answer, while the other let you know that it is technically possible if you are willing to put in the considerable DIY work. They were just trying to be transparent with you!
It's just our team trying to give you the full, honest picture of what modifying a steam shower entails. We offer excellent after-sales support and are always completely upfront with our customers about what will and won't work out of the box.
Now that we’ve cleared up the confusion and explained the mechanics of the seat, we'd appreciate it if you'd reassess your opinion and If you still want to go ahead with the SS80, we are ready to help.
Hydro Shower Cabin Enclosure Vidalux
After 5y, 6m the enclosure is coming out. 2 years ago the shower head fell off and I had to bodge a repair as the screw attachment fell out and couldn't be refitted, now the rain shower pipe has corroded though at the base. The door wheels have been replaced 3 times as the springs don't last. 2 stars given as it didn't leak but didn't expect to be replacing it already, which means more tiling, new flooring etc etc, disappointing TBH.

Poor instructions to be honest, bags of screws with no direction where to use them. Quality of the wood fit is poor, lots of splits chunks out etc.

Totally let down by this company
This review will, hopefully help my fellow trades people to not make the same mistake that I did purchasing a VIDALUX Coniston Walk-In Bath. The bath is totally not fit for purpose if the purpose is to replace an existing bath. The side panel of the VIDALUX bath is an integral part of the bath and CANNOT be removed. This means, that in the vast majority of cases there is NO access to the plumbing under the bath, nor can the support feet be adjusted for levelling purposes.
None of this is mentioned in the sales description and if you ask “Technical Support” for any help you’re going to be VERY disappointed with the outcome. They told me that “there’s a removable access panel on the end of the bath”. This panel is located at the opposite end to and of the plumbing fixtures and in the vast majority of cases would be inaccessible due to it being up against a wall!
This item is literally only any good if it is being fitted into a bathroom which has not yet had any walls built around it…. And as for any future maintenance… forget it!
So, to my fellow trades people…..avoid this VIDALUX bath or be prepared for a VERY difficult installation with absolutely NO HELP from the manufacturer.

I have spoken with our technical support team regarding your specific situation, and it appears the difficulties arose because the bath was being fitted into a confined alcove. It is important to note that this is not a standard bath; it is a specialist walk-in bath with a fundamentally different build.
Because of the door mechanism and the need to maintain absolute structural rigidity and a watertight seal, the bath features an integral side panel. This specialized design must be taken into account when planning the plumbing and fitting. Since it is not a normal bath, you may need to take additional precautions with the installation, and accessing the feet for levelling may take a short while longer in a tight alcove space.
While we understand it requires a different approach than a standard tub replacement, please rest assured that there are no issues with the design. We have thousands of happy walk-in bath customers who use this exact model daily without a problem.
We appreciate your feedback and will look into how we can make the installation requirements even clearer for tradespeople in the future. If you need any further assistance, please reach out to our team directly.

Solara 3 person corner sauna
Good website makes everything clear. I had to contact customer services and they resolved my issue within half an hour. Delivery was on time and the product, an infrared sauna, was well packed with no damage. Assembly was straightforward.
Minor criticism would be the manual could do with more detail in parts.

Vidalux SS80 NO ELECTRICS free standing…
Vidalux SS80 NO ELECTRICS free standing shower cabin, purchased June 26.
This is the second purchase I have made of a shower cabin from Vidalux, from selection on the website to purchase everything was so easy, once the purchase was completed the confirmation support was excellent. I was emailed regarding a suitable delivery date of my choice and when I had chosen a date I was given a window time for delivery. All in all the selection,purchase and delivery date couldn’t have gone any smoother.
As with a previous purchase from Vidalux all components of the shower cabin were packaged for protection and once delivered it had everything required to build a complete shower cabin, as very precise instructions were included I had no problem in completing the self assembly my self, not a problem if your handy the instructions and videos on the Vidalux website are there to assist you if you’re struggling.
However if your not into DIY then you need to bring in someone who is capable of being able to assemble the unit whether they be professional or otherwise, certainly don’t try to assemble it yourself because you may regret it.
All in all I’m very satisfied with my second purchase from Vidalux and would definitely recommend them if your thinking of buying from them, quality units at very competitive prices.

Vidalux RT79 for a small bathroom refurb
Purchased a Vidalux RT79 as we needed a shower in a very small bathroom.
I chose this for its leak free promise and I can see from the construction that it is unlikely that leaks will be a problem.
Delivery was on time and securely packaged on a pallet.
The parts were good quality and fitted together without too much difficulty, that said, the instructions could have been a bit clearer especially for the plumbing connections. A manufacturing defect on the tray was swiftly and easily resolved by the customer service sending out a replacement.
The pod is small enough to fit where the bath was and unfortunately the shelf inside is just where I would bump my head on it, so that is removed.
The rain head is very effective and handset works well although the body jets were not to my liking.
It look smart in the refurbished bathroom.

Shower cabin
Just purchased a shower cabin from Vidalux and I have to say that from ordering through to delivery it has been such a seamless process.
Shower cabins are delivered on a pallet, massively protected to prevent any damage and to a convenient location on your property (access permitting), by professional, accomodating staff.
Ordering was really straightforward with a wide choice of delivery options and
follow up after purchase has been excellent, Vidalux really do appear to value your custom.

I ordered my infrared sauna on the Wednesday and it was delivered on the Friday!
Well packaged. Easy to put together. And it’s just amazing. Im so happy with it. Managed to get it in the sale which is always a bonus but with the quality, I would have been happy to pay full price. They kept in contact from the minute I made my purchase right up until delivery.
