Highly recommend Viking Surveys! I was buying a property that needed complete renovation and decided to get a RICS 3, Saeed was fantastic ! I asked numerous questions following receipt of the survey and all questions were answered in great detail, fully explaining everything to me. Nothing was too much trouble.
Following the report and the information it provided I decided not to purchase the property. I am currently continuing my property search and I will be using Viking for my next Survey .

I instructed Viking Surveyors for a RICS Home Survey – Level 3 on the flat I live in, an 18th-century building in the Thoroughfare, Woodbridge — part solid masonry, part historic timber frame, three storeys, cellar, roof terrace, and every complication you'd expect of a property that age. Ashley Cass inspected on 10 August and the full report was with me on the 17th.

The quality of the work is exceptional. This is not a tick-box exercise: nearly ninety photographs, damp-meter readings taken room by room, the roof void inspected, the cellar inspected, and clear, specific reasoning behind every condition rating rather than boilerplate. Where something couldn't be seen, he said so plainly and explained what further investigation would be needed and by whom — which is far more useful than false reassurance.

What impressed me most was the judgement applied to a period building. The commentary on the timber frame concealed behind cement render, on lime versus gypsum and why breathability matters, on sub-floor ventilation, on the fire-safety implications of accommodation over three storeys, and on the condition of the terrace decking, was the work of someone who genuinely understands old buildings rather than someone applying modern standards indiscriminately. It's written in plain English, properly organised, and stands up to close reading.

Booking was straightforward, the fee was fair, and the turnaround was quicker than promised. I've commissioned a great deal of professional work over forty-five years in business and this sits comfortably at the top end of it. Five stars in every respect, and my thanks to Ashley.

As a first time buyer, we were unsure of what to do, but Viking helped and advised us. They were swift and from the point of booking they had surveyed and issued a comprehensive report in a WEEK!

Excellent experience using Viking Surveyors for my level 2 home buyer survey, from start to finish. Reasonable quote, survey carried out within a week and report provided the same day. Very thorough report with pictures provided. Would thoroughly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

The involment after survay its not great; we only got the report, no one call or no closure call whatsoever. I felt that for that amount of money, the service experience must be great.

Efficient surveyor. The surveyor arrange everything with the estate agents once the booking for the survey was made. My one complaint is that they changed the date of the survey to a later date but this was notified well in advance. As I didn't need the survey done urgently it wasn't too much of a problem. The price quoted was reasonable compared to other quotes. The report was promptly received.

Everything was done to schedule, a few issues were highlighted and recommendations made. One of these was followed up by Viking with the current house owner who immediately took steps to improve the situation, so I am happy.

Very thorough survey, covered everything I was expecting and team was helpful when I was deciding what level of survey I needed. Only comment would be the long wait between paying for the survey and the date of the survey, which I wasn't shown when survey would be before paying (think I booked and paid July 1st and survey was 27th July). However, survey was sent across less than 24hrs after so can't complain on that front!
