What should have been an exciting home renovation project has turned into one of the most stressful and disappointing experiences we have ever had with a company. Our kitchen was delivered by Wren Kitchens on 30th June 2026. Before we had even started unpacking, one of the units had to be sent back on the delivery lorry because it was damaged. The doors were delivered attached to the units the only packaging being cardboard without protective wrapping, our doors are matt finish meaning the cardboard had scuffed most of the doors in transit.
On 1st July, we began unpacking the kitchen and immediately found multiple damaged items. On 2nd July, my partner had taken a day off work specifically to begin fitting the kitchen he is a joiner by trade and has fitted Wren kitchens for customers in the past as an independent kitchen fitter. Unfortunately, the units he needed to start with were damaged, including three larder/tower units meaning installation didn’t start for another week. We also discovered that the kitchen had been incorrectly measured by the surveyor. Despite specifically requesting that a final measurement be taken once our wall had been boarded and plastered to ensure the kitchen would still work, the measurements had been taken from the original wall. This resulted in the kitchen design no longer working correctly, including approximately a 30mm overhang of a tower unit over a window. This issue was quickly resolved.
We were then told to photograph and upload all of the damaged items through the Wren app. This alone took around 2–3 hours, followed by my partner spending approximately 2½ hours on a video call with Customer Care documenting the damage. Our first experience of Customer Care was brilliant and the replacement order was processed. However, at that point we had already identified a huge number of damaged units (12 units) and doors (30+).
The replacement process became an ongoing cycle of failure:
• 8th & 10th July: Replacements arrived. Despite asking for better protection, doors were attached to units, causing further transit damage. We were left without cooking facilities or running kitchen water for a significant period and incurred high costs eating out. On 13th July, we found cosmetic damage and a frayed wire on our SMEG range cooker.
• 14th July: Quartz worktop measurements could only be partially completed because the kitchen was unfinished, requiring a second appointment.
• 23rd July (4th Delivery): Contained 13 doors; 11 were damaged, chipped, or peeling. They lacked quality-control labels, packaging protection, and two boxes were already open. I sent a major complaint on 27th July.
• 6th August (5th Delivery): Out of 13 doors, only 5 were acceptable. On 11th August, exhausted, we accepted a 50% refund on the 8 damaged doors (£400.74) and a £300 goodwill gesture. Our case manager assured us this was a "full and final settlement" and the end of the nightmare. It wasn't.
• 24th August (6th Delivery): Supposedly quality-checked by two managers. All 8 doors arrived damaged. The case manager claimed the wrong doors were sent. The bar door also arrived in clear glass instead of frosted.
• 11th September (7th Delivery): My partner took another day off work, losing £200 in income. 6 of the 8 doors were unacceptable, the packaging was battered, and there was a red reflection marked on the bar glass.
We have spent an enormous amount of our own time whilst working full time jobs trying to help Wren resolve problems that should never have occurred in the first place. We have also tried to be reasonable throughout but we have not received any conpensation that reflects the severity of what we have experienced leading us to now seek legal advice on this experience. We dealt with Customer Care, worked with our case manager, provided photographs and evidence, rearranged deliveries around our working commitments and ultimately accepted the £400 refund and £300 goodwill payment because we genuinely believed we were bringing the matter to a close. We are still waiting for the £300 cheque after a month. This is Wren’s highest, most expensive range. We expected quality, but have instead faced 7 deliveries of damaged items, an incorrect survey, wasted annual leave, lost income, and contractor disruption. We have tried to be reasonable, but we have now contacted Trading Standards and are seeking independent legal advice. We strongly urge anyone considering spending this amount of money with Wren to think very carefully. For the last 74 days, our lives have been filled with uncertainty, anxiety and stress, and we still do not believe that Wren has properly investigated why this has happened or taken meaningful steps to prevent it from continuing. I would continue but I've reached my word limit.
Very efficient service. The surveyor Mr Hadnum arrived on time, was very polite and carried out the survey efficiently
The transport/delivery team was very professional and efficient. We had a large delivery and they took all precautions to ensure our property was kept tidy and minimize disruption. C Pashley and team did an excellent job!
Called ahead to let us know when he was arriving. Very helpful and very professional
Hi just had Andrew Burton call around on time to measure up for our new kitchen very professional and job done in less than an hour would recommend wren kitchens to family and friends. Thanks
The lads were very sociable, cleaned up after themselves and did a great job on the quartz kitchen worktops. Would use again.
L Albrow arrived exactly on time and took time to explain what would be happening. Very knowledgeable and polite. Thank you.
Great experience. I was given a time slot, my surveyor A Hadnum called to let me know the arrival time. Great service was friendly and professional.
Very disappointed with the after-sales service
Our experience with Wren Kitchens has been disappointing, particularly once the kitchen had been purchased.
The shop advisor was excellent while we were in the showroom looking at the kitchen and making our purchase. However, once the sale was completed, it became extremely difficult to get responses to emails.
Our microwave stopped working after just two weeks, which is very disappointing for a new kitchen. We have also had an issue with one of the kitchen units, which is too wide and sticks out.
I have contacted customer service about these issues, but getting a proper response has been incredibly difficult. On top of this, we were given an email address for the quartz worktop fitters to request a refund, but the email address provided simply bounced back and could not be delivered.
The most frustrating part is that I have now received an email from Wren stating that my complaint has been “resolved”, when it is absolutely not resolved. I still have outstanding issues and have not received a satisfactory solution.
The kitchen itself may look lovely, but the after-sales service and communication have been very disappointing. When spending a significant amount of money on a new kitchen, you expect good customer service and for problems to be dealt with properly, not to have to repeatedly chase for responses.
Unfortunately, based on our experience so far, I would think very carefully before choosing Wren.
Very polite and very thorough
Good customer service
Thank you J Braker

He explained everything clearly and even provided an explanation of what we can expect next.
Excellent experience overall.
Thank you S Jeff’s !!
We chose Wren Kitchens largely because of how they presented themselves during our showroom visits. We were sold on the idea of a proud, supportive British family-owned business that would guide us every step of the way and look after us if anything went wrong.
During the sales and initial design phase, the customer service was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and reassuring. However, as soon as the order was placed and real installation issues emerged, that supportive attitude completely disappeared.
When design and measurement discrepancies came to light during fitting, instead of helping us resolve them fairly, we were met with pushback, quibbling over small replacement costs of £100 on a £20,000 kitchen, and a general refusal from the local team to take accountability for their own designg. We found ourselves having to pay out of pocket for modifications just to get parts of the kitchen to fit, with very little empathy or support from the store.
It’s easy to offer great service when taking someone’s money, but the true test of a company is how they handle things when an issue arises. Sadly, the friendly, family-focused promise didn't match the reality once our order was signed.
If you are considering buying from Wren, be aware that while the initial planning phase feels very supportive, getting help when things don't go to plan is an entirely different experience.
Gary is brilliant, polite and a professional. He knows exactly what he needs to do.
Mr O Firouzia was very polite and kind. He asked questions about the kitchen and what we wanted to keep. He was very professional.
