Friendly quick service

I received renewal notice 7th July and renewed contract to start 4th August. My boiler is 18 years old and was making a strange noise so contacted a gas inspector who informed me I needed a new boiler, which is being installed shortly. I contacted YourRepair on 12th August, 8 days after the contract started, to cancel and was informed this wasn't possible and I have to stay with them for the 12 months. I asked about the cooling off period, which apparently doesn't apply to renewals. After several calls and complaint long firm is adamant I cannot cancel and must continue to pay the remaining 11 months direct debit. I am 73 and only have the state pension, so a new boiler plus this payment will cripple me. I can't see in the contract where it says I can't cancel? PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have, in the pas,t given them a 5 star rating as I have never had to call on them for anything, but this lack of help during what everyone says are challenging times on budgets is just cruel.
Today LilyB from YourRepair has called and agreed to cancel the contract.

Richard the engineer came on time and was very helpful and informative. He explained everything in detail and showed me photos of the boiler which was in my attic

Took the time to inspect the back of my Carbon Monoxide alarm: almost out of date. Suggested I replace it sooner rather than later. Ordered same day.

It was simple to do and straightforward

Last winter I had several problems with my boiler. Each time the response was very quick and they arranged for a bosch engineer to do the repair.
The engineers came and sorted out the problems and both were very helpful.

My initial call was quickly answered by Alfie. He was very polite, went through all options available to me before transferring me to customer services. This call was taken by Ryan - again, very helpful and polite. Highlighted all areas of cover available and everything was completed quickly and efficiently . It was the first time I had contacted the company, and was extremely happy with the high standard of service received. I was extremely impressed with the amount of cover provided at such a comparatively low price.
