We left Xplornet several months ago…
We left Xplornet several months ago because speeds were so slow. Always had good customer service though. Very understanding and kind staff We found out Bell goes down every 2 to 3 weeks for a couple of days at least. So we came back to Explore. Very happy we did. 😊 I love Xplore, especially now with the fast speeds with no interruption. Thank you!

We have this at my work
We have this at my work, it has gone down 4 times in the last 3 years, the customer service is awful and they lie about what the problem is even before looking into it. They have no one local so service people are 3 hours out. Dont waist your time with this company!! If I could give no stars I would. Garbage, useless and annoying to have to try and work. Rip off!!!

I have had continuous problems with Xplornet.
The Internet keeps going down and glitching and pr poor quality in terms of resolution. This is not just my experience, but also that of many of the guests who come to my cottage. But when I call Xplornet., they claim that everything's fine and there's no reason to send a technician out.
So what I'm going to do is order Starlink, and disconnect my Xplornet service once with Starlink arrives. The sales service representative was very nice and offered me a discount. But I explained to him that I'd rather pay full price and get good service, instead of getting a discount price in getting spotty service person. But the technicians I spoke to in the service department, kept insisting they did all the checks and there's nothing wrong with my Internet. The last person I spoke to just hung up on me in middle of the conversation..
Of course, I'd rather use a Canadian company, but not when this kind of service – or lack of service - occurs.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Had to book install a month after I ordered it. On a Sunday at 8am to boot. I drove to my cabin in to meet him (60 miles away) and waited till 1030 still no contact from xplornet. I texted the installer as he had texted me the night before to say he was coming. No response. 1045 xplornet calls me to say he was sick and not coming. Can we reschedule in a month? Are you serious? Cancelled and got Star link. Very disappointing.

She had to go to the bank and make a stop payment on her visa to them.

Worst service ever! Worst STAFF ever.
Worst service ever. Even worse customer service. Even when I called to cancel a couple days ago I was told I was a Liar and that there was no way I spoke to a real person who treated me BEAUTIFULLY BTW at Starkink. But I sure did. Finally we have fast reliable internet at a fraction of the cost we paid you guys for wifi I myself had to reprogram / reinstall every 12 hours for the past 3 years! Cut down trees they claimed blocked rhe view, and upgraded to the moee expensive "upgraded" dish too. Never even a credit offered on my bill! Xplornet is a joke. Highly do not recommend.

I have no internet access. I called to get it fixed. I was put on hold for FOUR HOURS and no-one ever did pick up the call. My phone over heated and I had to hang up. SHIT SERVICE. I have filed complaints with the CCTS and CRTC

This is BY FAR the most UNPROFESSIONAL and LAZY ASS internet providers I have ever experienced. They are so unprofessional they purposely overload their servers and communications so they can retain more money in their pocket when they simply do not deserve it. They don't react quickly to coming to fix their equipments issues and redirecting their towers to benefit their customers. They do not care about the satisfactory of their customers at all. They have timed outings that will FORCE you off the internet at specific times thinking people will not be using it then, but people use the internet 24/7 around the clock for direct communications for multiple aspects of their life. Which only adds to the sheer level of unprofessional work done by this company, I cant even call it work cause work normally shows some sense of progress and respect for what they actually do. These kids running this company do not. Its disrespectful to pay this much money to be forcefully kicked off it during the DAYTIME AND NIGHTTIME because they chose to run more people on their company business they can ever actually handle and it directly shows by the level of bad reviews and insane amount of pathetic lack of attentiveness and accountability by this company. I will NEVER be using this company again and If I could, I would directly sue them for the lack of actual use I was supposed to be getting out of the internet that was being paid for.
Xplornet internet service - very poor!
We find dealing with this company quite disappointing and at times frustrating. For the past couple of months we have tried to cancel our internet service with Xplornet. The service is poor much of the time: slow, does not always connect consistently. When we have called in the past to complain about the poor internet we were told we had to upgrade and all would be fine. So we did as advised. Oddly enough the service remained the same - very poor. The only change was the higher monthly fee charged. The internet service is for our cottage and we only use the internet when we are there in the summer. The rest of the year there is little to no usage. Aside from everything I am desperate to have the services cancelled. We cannot afford the high fees. We have a child with special needs and the expenses relating to her disabilities are very high. I explained this to the customer service agent this morning. I called when I received another bill. My husband spoke to the company last month and was encouraged to keep the account open and everything was going to be looked into to see what could be done. He thought we were in a hold position. Today I found out that our account had $20 applied to the bill. That was less than a token gesture and has not addressed our issues at all. We were looking to cancel and were convinced to wait with the promise of the company working to see about providing better service for a much lower rate. Instead we now have a bill for an additional month. This company charges over 41% annually to overdue accounts which ours now is. The people we deal with know the script well and come across as being nice and seemingly wanting to help. Our experience is that it is all manipulation to keep customers for as long as possible. I am disputing the charge on our account for this past month given that we were supposedly going to be offered a much cheaper option and this did not happen. We were convinced to hold off on cancelling and given false information. Very poor experience overall.

Probably the worst internet provider in the country. Horribly overpriced for mediocre (at best) services. If you work from home, DO NOT rely on these guys! Customer service majority of the time is also garbage. Just trying to watch Judge Judy on YouTube is a nightmare sometimes -.- just a gross service.
Only redeeming thing is that when I was in hospital for awhile and fell behind payments; the lady was extremely kind and understanding. But rest of 3 years here, disappointing to say the least.

If I could give it zero or negative stars, i would. A very slow internet started out. Great. But for some reason, super slow. So we decided to switch. Then, they decide to make you climb on the roof in the middle of winter to get their equipment. This is dangerous for an 85 yr ild diabled person. I tried to explain to them i was unable. They just kept saying id be charged $250 for ot returing it. They would cone get thier stuff for $150 charge. So naturally i tried and fell. Im on a pension. I cant afford to pay them to pick up thier own stuff.. instead i got a 5 day hospital stay

Had intermittent slows speeds. Occasionally no internet for hours. Then total blackout Called customer service next available appointment was 8 days away. Got a phone call on appointment day that they would have to reschedule another 12 days away. Service guy came upgraded our service to 5g. Seemed to work good until no internet 8 days later. Phoned customer service next available appointment is 3 weeks away. I live in central Alberta so obviously they need more service technicians

It's pretty sad when your internet's out for 17 hours because apparently the second month in a row someone's got a cable are these cables on the ground how are they getting cut so easy. Yeah call and it's nobody got to wait and we can do should be on anytime now well yeah well it's hours later is still not on if the cables are being cut do something put them somewhere so they can't be cut this is ridiculous 17 hours and counting with no internet and Buddy wouldn't give me a credit on when I was talking to him on the phone the guy from customer service I just got to wait pretty pretty bad if this is what's going to happen with the service every month they need to lower the cost of the plans

It seems every year something conveniently goes wrong with the hardware when it's just over the 1-year service warranty they offer and then the customer is expected to pay for the service call even though we don't own the equipment and we pay rent on it every month. Where's the logic in that? And then their solution is to upgrade everything to their latest tech which comes with increased monthly fees. My latest experience with them was trying to get a new router shipped to my house so that I could replace it without paying for hundreds of dollars for a service call and it took almost 2 weeks for them to figure out how to ship a router to the correct address. The first attempt completely failed, the tracking number they sent me was invalid when I went on the courier website to track the package so I called them to ask about it and none of their customer service reps could give me an answer, so they had to start the process over again. Very poor customer service and I get the feeling that they don't care about customer retention at all.
A complete Joke
Absolute crap customer service and installation, guy has come over twice and refused to test for a signal where we want the dish or even in a reasonable place stating “he just doesn’t think it would be good there” smelled of weed when exiting the vehicle and talked poorly of the company himself.
They are so useless
They are so useless. I called them on November 6, 2025 to cancel my Internet service starting on November 12, 2025. The next day they disconnect my services on November 7. I will never request their services again.
