This was so easy and amazing to use. It needs a connected usb cable fr old to new computer.
I learned that when it kept failing. It brought everything over except favorites which were easy to get back. The other issue you have is bringing virus software programs, be sure to have licsense numbers.

I purchased a new HP laptop to replace an older HP running Windows 7. The desktop was configured to suit my needs perfectly. I use quite a bit of freeware but also had a variety of licensed software for which I no longer had the install CDs/disks and licensing information. I also had a substantial number of files, videos and photos.
After researching a number of transport options, and chatting with Zinstall tech suport. I purchased the Win-Win option.
I followed the installation instructions for firewalls and anti-virus software, and utilized my wi-fi network, and activated the programs as clearly instructed in the guide. I received one message for which I contacted tech support via chat, and received a response very quickly.
The actual transfer of the entire contents took about seven hours, with no issues. The progress was clearly shown on the new machine. When completed, I restarted the new laptop and after signing on, my old desktop was displayed just as I had it configured on the old unit. All folders were set up as before, and all software ran perfectly. The new laptop was a clone of my old one, which was what I wanted.
Zinstall worked exactly as was promised, and would highly recommend it.

We used ZInstall to when we purchased two new computers and transferred programs, data, etc from the two old computers. ZInstall was easy to setup and use. It successfully transferred everything perfectly to both new computers. I used WordPerfect and had to call Corel to change the profile settings, no problem. We, my wife and I, are expremely pleased with ZInstall.

We considered using PCMover, but after reading the user manual, it appeared that ZInstall would be easier and have less problems.

Everything moved from W10 to W11 without any problems. All programs on W11 ran OK. This program works great.

Wow! Fully migrated from my old windows 10 to my new windows 11 and installed all of my software/apps. Everything was perfect! This is a must - have program for anyone buying a new computer. There were many old apps that were installed perfectly. Even all of my settings and preferences. Just figure in the cost of the zinstall win-win to the cost of buying a new computer.

Zinstall computer migration software did exactly what it advertised. Moved everything, settings, files, configurations - flawlessly. Data transfer spped is limited by the bandwidth of your connection.

As a nice bonus, I received an email following up on my experience and am very happy to provide a good review.

Everything transferred from my old pc to the new as promised with no issues. I had a lot files to migrate and it took a bit of time over WiFi but I liked being able to see that data was constantly being moved by checking the progress from time to time. I will definitely use Zinstall again in the future. Thank you!

Well worth the money!!!!! I'm forced to get a new computer because of Windows 11 not updating to my very functional Windows 10 Computer(motherboard incompatibility). Anyway, it's always a huge issue to migrate to another computer and lose programs in the process. NOT THIS TIME!!! Zinstall WINWIN was simple. The directions were clear. I had some issues but after talking to support, they took care of me and got me going right away and my computer migrated over to the new computer with my programs and activations so they were ready to go!!! My only self install was my printer. So happy to have found this program!

Saved me time and frustration.  Before I bought my new computer I didn't know that programs like zinstall existed.  So far only one program required re-typing product key-No big deal. Thanks. BIG HELP

I used the regualr version (winwin). I think it is actually a very good software. It copied my apps, and also files documents. Thank you.

Don't be fooled by the website. This product is not straight forward. It's way more difficult to use than it advertises. It promises to effortlessly connect your computers so the old one migrates to the new one. But it doesn't work. I bought the program expecting it to simply work but it hasn't. I'm now having to get diagnostics sent off to the company. Waiting on them to get back to me. It's extremely frustrating.
UPDATE: After waiting 24 hours for support, they finally got back to me and upgraded my program so I could migrate via an extrenal hard drive. I thought that was kind of them. I did this, followed all the instructions meticulously, however the program STILL doesn't work! They promise on their website that their support is with real people not a bot, well try and call them! No one answers. Send an email, they take 24 hours to get back to you. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Bought the WinWin product and it was pretty great! Took about 4 horus to transfer over my wifi.
Note that I found it to go faster with antivirus stopped, probably because when it's on, it scans every file.

In any case great product, saved me a whole bunch of hours.

I recommend the software for transferring files and standard software without activation codes but it doesn't work for those who need codes and their customer support is useless. I have contacted several times for an update on what I logged as an issue in 1.5 months ago. They even have a page stating they can get old copies of Autocad working (I have a standalone licence that they wrongly have illegally stopped customers using) I was escalated ages ago, then yesterday I was assured that someone would get back to me and on contacting tonight I
got ignored then cut off! Robert was most helpful in giving advice but couldn't help further and it needs escalating!

Please contact me I have been trying for 2.5 months now and I'm almost going to demand a refund.

Forced to move to a new computer running Windows 11. Zinstall came with good reviews (generally) and online help (allegedly). Nothing could be further from the truth.
It took 3 attempts at overnight transfers to install about 80% of data from the old PC. Some files failed to install or corrupted and some apps failed to install.
First attempt at transfer compromised the Bluetooth software leaving me without a functioning keyboard or mouse on the new PC which took me 2 days to diagnose and resolve.
It failed to copy pst and ost files for Outlook.
I sought help and 10 days on still waiting for someone to get back to me! All I got was an automated acknowledgement saying someone would get back to me 'shortly'. No one on 'Live Chat'.
I have asked for a refund as I have had to seek professional help to resolve the issues.

I was just hoping zinstall would transfer my networking settings and office 2016
BUT it failed to do either. Took me a week to repair networking and I had to purchase office 2016 all over again, so it cost me more than its purchase price.

Just ran WinWin overnight. It completed successfully, and it saved my bacon! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I wish I would have had this before I retired as an IT executive. What a great program. Worth every penny, and more. A wise man once said to me that “High quality may demand a higher price, but it’s not an expense—it’s an investment in excellence”. Your software is definitely “excellent”. Thanks again.

The company claims its product does more than the competitors product and transfers more than competitors products. I haven’t been able to verify this claim because what the company DID NOT TELL ME is that you ONLY GET 2 ACTIVATIONS. So if something goes wrong and you have to start afresh you cannot do it because you get an error MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ACTIVATIONS EXCEEDED. True to their advertising I did get to chat to a real person and not a bot. Problem is the real person only advises you to contact support unless you are buying! Contacted support and consistent with other reviews only got a “we will contact soon” message and now just waiting for help. When you buy a license to transfer from an old PC to NEW PC, it follows that at some future point you might need to repeat the process, but you cannot because the license you bought is only really a license for a single transfer. The company should be upfront and tell customers this. They also need to fix the support function because in my view its not fit for purpose.

Zinstall's product did not work at all, and the support process was both unreasonable and ineffective. Their team required me to fully uninstall all cybersecurity software from both computers—something that compromises device security—before offering any help. I complied, ran their diagnostics, and was forced to manually type in a long diagnostic code because their system wouldn't allow copy-paste.

They later claimed they never received the diagnostics, despite me submitting them exactly as instructed. I requested a refund four times, and each time they responded with a deliberately obstructive process, including a manual form that forced me to agree to their terms and conditions before I could even submit the request.

They sent me a user manual that had nothing to do with the issue I reported, wasting even more of my time. The entire experience was unnecessarily difficult, and their continued refusal to refund a clearly defective product feels deceptive. In my opinion, this is a predatory and misleading business practice, and I am filing this complaint to warn others.
