As outlined on multiple occasions throughout our website and application process, we are unable to issue certain medical certificates where a patient's BMI exceeds 30, or where specific medical conditions are present. These criteria are clearly stated before an application is submitted.
Having reviewed your case, I can confirm that your BMI was assessed as being above the threshold required for us to issue a fit-to-fly certificate. As a result, our medical team were unable to approve your application.
We understand this may have been frustrating and disappointing. However, this situation demonstrates the importance of the rigorous clinical governance standards that ZoomDoc follows, particularly in relation to pregnancy fit-to-fly assessments. These evaluations involve important medical considerations, and we have a duty to ensure that any certificate we issue is supported by complete and accurate clinical information and is in the best interests of patient safety.
