Never had a problem with these guys in the 10 years we have been using them (other than their back office and ordering interface our end being very dated) until they were taken over by orderyoyo.

Impossible to resolve problems, only contact is via whatsapp which they take an age to reply to. Have been asking for proper payout reports like we used to get with Stripe, since they switched to Hyperwallet, there is no easy breakdown of the sales to send to my bookkeeper for reconciliation.

Have been back and forth with them 3 times now and the only response i get is that 'app4 assures us the reports you have already are adequate' even though i have stated that the whole reason i am contacting them is because they aren't.

If we didnt have so many users having already downloaded this app, i would cancel my subscription today! The subscription that was put up 20% when they took over and started delivering a worse service.

A shame because Ian who started app4 was super helpful and for a long time you could contact him directly.

I have joined App4 since 2023, they were great. Customer service was fantastic and could always get hold of some to talk to if there was any issues. They also had a out of hours number to call if needed. I was so pleased to use them for my business. However, since they have gone partnership with Order YOYO this year 2025 the company is now ridiculously bad. There is zero customer service and support. You can no longer get hold of anyone to speak to in person.
This app company is suppose to be in partnership with you to provide a platform for your business so to not being able to talk to anyone over the phone about your account is beyond ridiculous and unprofessional.
After App4 has joined with Order YOYO, you are only available to speak with someone via web chat, email or WhatsApp and even then, they don't respond effectively especially on the major issues like your payouts. I have tried to reach out numerous times to talk to someone about this but had no luck. I demanded on the WhatsApp chat for someone to call but they refuse. Gave me a number to call instead, which I tried calling numerous times for it to ring a few times then says our line is now closed, our opening hours is 9am to 8pm. Take note, I called at 11am so confused as to why their line is closed!
They increased our rates per order without informing us and would even charge fees on cash payment orders when there are zero transaction on their end. App 4 never use to charge on cash orders.
To anyone who is looking to find a online ordering platform for their business, please think twice before joining. They are a very bad company now. You can tell by searching Order YOYO reviews, they have very bad reviews and now they have dragged App4 down with them. Which is such a shame.
I know a few businesses who used App4 but since they partned with Order YOYO, the businesses are now leaving.
Unfortunately I will be doing the same.

App4 currently owes us over £12,000 after we purchased a business that uses their platform. It has now been over 5 weeks since we took over, and not a single payment has been made to us.

We’ve done everything required — updated all business and bank details, submitted ownership documents, and contacted them multiple times via email and phone. All we ever get is:
“It’s in process.”
No explanation. No urgency. No action. No money.

We are a small business and this delay is causing real financial pressure. The lack of accountability and transparency is unacceptable. We’ve been patient — now we’re preparing to escalate legally.

If we don’t receive the full amount immediately, we will be:
• Filing a legal claim against App4
• Reporting to Trading Standards and the Financial Ombudsman
• Making this situation public on all available platforms

Avoid App4 at all costs if you value your income. They are holding over £12,000 of our money without cause and refusing to resolve it.

I have been a customer with App4 and it has been a pathetic experience. The customer service is horrible, I terminated my contract. A pure waste of my time and money

Still no response, no help or information regarding the funds which they owed my business for over 4 weeks

Unbelievable that I now have to as instructed byy bank report these activities as fraud

If you take this company as your third part you had better be prepared not to be paid and to be ignored at all levels

There are much better cheaper and professional business who will provide app services

Horrible customer service. Being with them for years and all off a sudden they dont reply to messages and change your contact and payment agreements without permission.

Avoid this company by all cost. No customer service at all. No support to business. Very dangerous company.

I never had an issue with this company before now another company has taken over yoyo. On Friday and Saturday i lost a lot of business and i can not contact them, i lost a lot of business on Friday and Saturday due to the website down. They don't have call centre open after 5pm . I see no point in doing business with this company who are unable to rectify website issues.

I’ve been working with App4 Developments for a while now, and overall, it’s been a great experience. Their team is responsive, professional, and quick to act on any updates or changes I’ve requested. The app and website they created for my business have been seamless for both in-store and online orders, making things easier for my customers and me. I also appreciate how the team is approachable, with a hands-on approach from everyone, including the founder, which gives a personal touch. Definitely recommend them if you’re looking for reliable app solutions! Four stars because there’s always room for growth, but they’re close to perfect!

Found app4 on trustpilot whilst searching for reviews on another firm, initially spoke with Josh and he was kind enough to clarify all my questions, so I proceeded and my account manager is Tia, got set up and live in no time, and the response time from app4 is definitely amazing! My online orders are growing daily, which I. Can see is from the app service provided, most definitely a game changer! Back office is easy to use, overall good value for money, and main thing I found when searching for online order provider, is that most companies insist on taking over your domain, I have had this experience in the past, and app4 don’t demand on taking your domain, which for me is perfect.

Great experience with App4. The customer service is next to none with immediate responses and support. Friendly and helpful team. Quality product that I'm proud to show to my customers. A cut above the average product in the market and well worth the money. 100% recommend. If you end up dealing with either Hannah or Josh you're in great hands. Thanks again guys.

I couldn't recommend App4 more highly. They provide our customer ordering website and apps, and our experience with them has been excellent throughout.

We have quite complex requirements, but they have managed to fulfil all of them, and the finished product looks completely bespoke and provides excellent functionality for our customers.

Throughout the process, Tia Lindsay, our account manager, has supported us brilliantly. She's always provided prompt answers to our (many!) questions, and helped resolve any issues we've had.

We looked into lots of different providers of online restaurant ordering platforms, and chose App4 in large part due to their ability to provide a platform for a multi-site, multi-restaurant operation at a good price. I'm very glad we did, as they've consistently gone above and beyond to meet our requirements. All at a very competitive price, too. I recommend them 100%.

It makes sense why App4 have an almost 5* rating, their end to end service is nothing less than 1st class. From the initial onboarding they manage and handle everything with little to no resistance with all the changes and requests that we threw at them. The standout person in all of this Tia Lindsay for all of the adhoc support of issues and teething problems which were predominantly user issues or device related problems. Her knowledge is absolutely amazing, she was able to fix all of the various issues we threw at her within minutes or hours if it was complex. What's was brilliant about Tia is that no matter how many issues we raised, if it was at 9am or 5pm she was always happy and friendly which is so refreshing. I cannot praise Tia and the other colleagues who supported getting us up and running. I will definitely recommend App4 to other businesses if you want to take your customer experience to the next level.
