I wanted a prepaid service to setup on my daughters apple watch without having to pair it with a phone. BetterRoming has this service for under 100 dollars a year and it works great. The only problem I had was when I went to renew it did not auto renew.

Better roaming proactively reached out when they identified that my plan hadn’t loaded successfully. Astral was patient and thorough in working through the problem and double checking that everything had been satisfactorily resolved.

The fact that I can pay upfront for an extire year for my daughter’s Apple Watch gives me such peace of mind and one less thing to deal with as a parent. Regarding having the same state phone number, currently, we don’t have the option for Apple Watch US customers to choose a specific state area code because the numbers are assigned randomly. That said, all US Apple Watch customers can make unlimited calls and send texts anywhere in the country, so you’re fully covered no matter which number is assigned.

Most of the time the number is not reachable. Messages send are delivered after 15 - 90 mins. Not very happy with the service.

Location sharing doen't really work. Most of the time it has hours old info on my daughters location. I will be swaping network as soon as I find somthing that is more reliable.

We bought this service for our daughter who has an Apple Watch but no iPhone. It works great! Great price and service. It can be a little tricky to make iMessages work without an iPhone, but we got it working and have been very happy with this service.
