I installed 5 cameras and they worked impeccably until my free trial ran out.I should still access instant images of where the cameras are at all times but no live recordings which I don't need.I should still see my cameras live view at all times but they have gone blank and unusable most of the time.I've excellent Internet access as my other camera from a different manufacturer I pay no access for works perfectly.Dont buy Blink cameras they are a complete waste of time.I subscribed £2.50 a month for one camera so it would record at all times.It rarely works! Utter shite!

Not a great experience. The first doorbell unit died after a couple of months but was quickly replaced. Despite being hard wired we get no ring sound inside the house just a pop up on our phone screens, so as another reviewer said "blink and you miss it".

Finally I've discovered you can't access the system if you use a VPN, even when logged into a UK ip address. Not much use of you are travelling and need to respond to a caller or want to check your outside cameras.

It may be ok as a toy for kids but it is not any use in the grown up world and amazon should be ashamed of this garbage. I would give it a minus score if I could

Would not connect to router and why is there not a manual inside the box?. Why would you "cheap out" and make your customers waste time logging in/out scanning QR codes?. Why do you also assume that people are connected to the internet 24/7?.

Poor quality product.
The camera is easy to set up. However it doesnt have an option of mounting at an angle properly. Also within 2 years it has totally failed with poor video and audio quality. The customer service now says it cant be mounted outside door, so really not a door bell worth using or buying. I would strictly avoid. The customer support is not worth contacting as they take you round in circles. Finally after discussing things with me for around 3-4 weeks they suddenly turn around to tell you that there is water ingress and that they wont be able to do anything...based on images I have sent and they have not even examined the product. I think the life span is short. GO for ring or Nest anytime as they seem to last much longer and also they have much quicker notifications. Blink notifications despite using the sync module are horribly delayed. Overall a poor product being sold at premium prices!

Purchased synch module and x3 outdoor cameras - worked okay for the first 6 months then continual problems (camera don't synch with base unit, base unit doesn't synch with Internet etc). Numerous lengthy calls (1½hrs) to customer services in Philippines - change batteries, plug into power, reset Internet, reset synch module and repeat+++
Blink have consistently FAILED to provide a reliable service, to identify a cause for their failed equipment or to provide a suitable resolution.
I'm now going to use a competitor and recommend that you do too!

All I can say is DON'T waste your money buying their camera doorbell with sync module. I had so many issue with it like the batteries needing replacing again after 24hrs, videoing people and cars going past my house, when set not to, not working when the doorbell was rang but suddenly I'll get a notification moments later that someone's at the front door after they've left. It lasted a year and I've now binned it. The positive reviews it has are given when it’s newly set up and all seems to be going well but I can guarantee, a few weeks later or when the batteries need to be changed, then you'll start to experience problems. Honestly, it should be discontinued, as it too problematic and I know of 6 friends who all had issues with it. Buy better and not this rubbish.

Like others I bought Blink cameras because of their association with amazon. Unfortunately they aren't that good, the service breaks often and it sometimes won't reconnect without shutting down and resetting up. I bought some very cheap indoor surveillance cameras off TEMU (not a recommend site to buy off) just to try them out and they were/are 100% better than the Blink cameras. Have a good look around before you buy the Blink ones, I don't think they are worth buying.

I really should have researched Blink here before purchasing. My experience of their products and support services is exactly as others have described and as an Amazon company, they really should perform much, much better!
I’m a retired IT professional of 30+ years, who specialized in Networking. I’ve spent much of the last week trying to narrow down the problems causing their kit not to work. I’ve been on my own pretty much, as although I’ve maintained an open dialogue with their support, they’ve been less than useless.🤔 Their new kit is designed to work only with outdated protocols, that were dropped by many vendors some 8+ years ago, due to these standards being insecure. That said, if their kit actually worked reliably with these old and insecure mechanisms, I would not be writing this rather scathing review. Their kit is anything but reliable ( flakey at best ) and just will not work with many mainstream vendors hardware. My advise….. Don’t waste your time and money on something that is very unlikely to work. Spend a little more and go for a product from a vendor that stays current and actually works.

Terrible company to deal with. Water ingress on an outdoor camera, supposedly ‘built for the elements’. They won’t cover it under warranty. I have 2 outdoor cameras and a video doorbell and pay a monthly subscription fee. Emailing back and forth, getting nowhere. After pushing them to take it further I received a phone call at 20:40 on a Saturday night, inconvenient time to make a call and spoke with a gentleman in the US, 5 minutes of going round in circles, repetitive scripting. He told me it’s built in such a way that water should not penetrate it, but yet it has and they don’t cover it. I stopped the gentleman from wasting anymore of my time and asked him to arrange for his manager to call me.
Absolute joke of a company with products not fit for purpose!

Then look no further the Blink "Door Bell" is what you're looking for. Are you fed up of friends turning up and ringing your old reliable doorbell. And you being aware of someone at your door. Do you want a quiet life with no one bothering you at your front door, the the BLINK "door bell" is for you, enjoy the feeling of being a hermit/ Billy no mates , no more DING DONGGG. No more annoying phone notifications BLINK DOOR BELL the door bell without a bell. Do you want to be outside in all weather wrestling a "Door Bell " off your front door so you can remove and reinstall the batteries so it might work for a day or two, then BLINK is for you. Blink the door bell that just sticks to your front door pretending to be a Door Bell. Do you regularly order items online ? Would you rather see the " Sorry We Missed you " calling card from the courier in your letter box, would you rather retrieve your missed delivery from your local courier? Then look no further, become a regular face at the post office etc etc For the ultimate experience of this awful technology, go buy the equally unreliable Blink CCTV camera. Seems Amazon can fly and land a rocket 🚀 (Sometimes) but it's BLINK products are about as useful as a Chocolate T Pot. You have been warned. Maybe it's called Blink,because if you miss a notification (and you will miss many) If you have children in earshot , you have to scream "That Blinking Flipin "Door Bell" is BLINKin useless for BLINK sake

If you are considering buying a Blink video doorbell I urge you to do some research, look at all the terrible reviews, and think again. I wish I had. Firstly mine kept dropping the wi-fi signal and it was max 5 m away from the router. Secondly it ate batteries, had to keep renewing every few weeks. The final straw however was when the camera went foggy, blurred and misted up. I brought it inside , put it near a radiator, dried it out and put it back. Within two days it was fogged up again. This time I phoned customer support. The lady I spoke to gave me the most ludicrous answer. She asked me to send, via email a photograph of the ‘fog’ which I did. Her response was to say “It looks like it has been rained on and our product is not waterproof “ I was dumbfounded. I said “Where do you expect me to put a doorbell, if not outside where there is a chance of rain “ “I am sorry you are experiencing this but it is not waterproof “ Next I said “Do you expect me to put it inside a box to protect it from the rain?” To which she said “Yes”. This conversation went on for a few minutes and it was obvious she had been trained to only say what she had been told she could say. I then asked to speak to her supervisor and she replied “They will ring you back” which of course they never did. Additionaly this product has an annual auto renew fee of £24:99, many others don’t. So in conclusion do not waste your money, Amazon is a gigantic global company who do not bother or care about the little people like you or me.

Just dont even concider these camaras. Cant even connect the camara to the app, compleate waste of money. They should just close down and stop making useless junk

Spend last two weeks trying to connect the bloody module to wifi. Nobody in the support system has a clue except 'hard reset'. Absolute waste !!

Rubbish waste of time Merry go round and customer service repeated myself sooo many times cut my loses.. Amazon getting tacky as well boo hoo greed

I think the blink system as a whole is shit

It is not true that battery lasts 2 years with your doorbell camera. One set lasted 6 days, Engerizers too. Bought more and installed two new batteries. Lasted about 3 days. Don't buy. I would get a, new doorbell from another company but I don't think the holes would match in my doorframe. Hopefully I will find one. If you set a schedule, you can get your batteries too last longer, but doesn't work either.

Works OK if there's a clear line of sight between hub and camera, but doesn't work through a thin breeze block garage wall. Position the hub and camera literally either side of the wall. Not much use, as the hub should be indoors and the camera outside.

the system worked well during the trial period but then i decided to add local storage instead of a subscription. trouble is nearly every night when light changes to night the movement is triggered but no one is there. the clip starts in colour then goes to black and white. strange how it never did it until i added local storage??? so i get false alaems just about evry night.!!!
