Family Holiday
Booked our first family holiday through budget travel. Dealing with Neasa. Honestly how can 1 person have so much knowledge on different accommodations amazes me. Also neasa gave me alot of tips and advise on where is best and what type of holiday is best for our kids. Thanks so much x

No amenities for the kids whatsoever but a pool
There was suppose to be kids entertainment and discos and quizzes included in the holiday park all that there is included is a pool which isn’t worth the money I paid kids are bored with nothing to do here false advertisement wouldn’t book holiday park in Santa ponsa again not worth the money

Whilst there is no kids club at this property they do provide an entertainment programme. Had this not been available during your stay if you had reached out to us we could have possibly moved you to alternative accommodation that provided this.
However as we were never contacted it is impossible for us to rectify this issue but despite this we do hope there many other aspects of your holiday that you were able to enjoy.

The human touch
Had to book over the phone due to computer and mobile phone problems encountered at payment stage.Aoife made the booking process hassle free and even went above and beyond in booking our seats too. She was a very genuine friendly person without the corporate speak.

I had 2 instalments left to pay and my Father became seriously ill and was rushed to Limerick Regional Hospital on the 25/04/24. Initially we were told he only had a couple of days at most but he recovered for a few weeks and the staff kept him alive through dialysis as his kidneys had failed. Then we were informed that there was no hope and it was only a matter of time so I contacted Budget travel to explain this to the degree that we couldn't go on the holiday. I knew we wouldn't get a refund so I asked if it was possible to defer until later in the year and that I would pay the balance. The agent I spoke with said that wasn't possible but that someone would call me. An agent rang me and told me they would facilitate a later date and so September was given as an option which she led me to believe would just be a straight transfer. She emailed me the following day with September dates at an extra cost of €700. My partner and I couldn't believe it considering the circumstances involved and the fact we had used this agency before so needless to say we won't be using them again. My Father did pass away and we were due to fly out tomorrow but as we're grieving I'm only doing this now as people need to be made aware it's not about customer service, it's all about the money regardless of what the customer is going through.

We regret to hear of your fathers passing and express our deepest sympathy.
When you initially requested your date change your booking was 100% non refundable as per our terms and conditions, however given your circumstances we made allowances and permitted a date change as a gesture of goodwill.
I understand that you may have been taken aback with the cost of changing your holiday but when you booked your holiday in January to travel in July you availed of discounted rates buying 6 months in advance. Unfortunately changing your dates within 2 months of travel incurs fees and there are no special offers available that you availed of when booking in January.
As you have insurance you should be able to make a claim for your financial loss via this channel.
