No issues whatsoever, good quality cake and easy collection

Very bad experience of delivery

So we bought a kinder cookie pie slice and a kinder cheesecake this evening from a shop you supply … how you get custom is beyond me the cheesecake tasted like sour cream not light and fluffy (I make them myself so know but we’re going away so needed a sugar fix ) it was awful tasteless very little biscuit base not even compacted the cookie pie was way too sweet like one spoon full of the mix and your in a sugar coma over all I will never buy from this brand again it was £8 I could’ve donated to local homeless shelters

I have ordered mango paradise cake which should have mango slices but that has nothing to do with mango not even 1 piece, doesn't taste like mango from any side. To my surprise had cheapest fruits on the cake and nothing like it said on the website. Taste very below average. I don't mind businesses over charge but they should offer quality and taste. Disappointment overall.

I wish I had take a picture before cutting the cakes. The chef of this establishment not only made two amazing cakes with wonderful flavours.
There is so much choice for everyone palate colouring of the cakes where beyond my expectations..
the shop is very clean throughout. Very nice staff also. Nothing I asked seemed to be a problem for the chef at all.
I recommend these egg free cakes and cake shop 100 percent.

We ordered a special cake for our deekha daman and we had a lovely cake so fluffy so light and the mango taste was amazing.
We had excellent customer service the staff were very polite and they were very responsive to the changes
And small details we added for the occasion with no extra charge.

Will definitely order again from them they are the best in luton

i recently bought a Black forest cake and unfortunatley it was disappointing. The spong was quiet dry which affeted the overall taste and texture. When i placed the order i specifically chose butter cream opition, but it came with cream and jam, My kids dont like jam so it wasnt what we expected. overall the cake didnt meet our expectation and we were disppointed with both the quality and the incorrect customization.

We had a really lovely cake for my birthday which tasted fresh and was a great crowd pleaser. It looked amazing too with cream, icing, fresh fruit. Unfortunately when we first went to collect the cake it didn't have the writing we requested but this was quickly sorted and done really neatly. It was also well packaged and made it across London on trains in the 35 degree heat wave! Would definitely buy again.

Visited cakes and bakes on Longbridge road barking as a regular customer bought some cakes which had an offer with buy 4 cake slices and receive 5th free. When I got to my work place noticed some mould on the cake. Was not happy at all. Will not be going back

I got 5 cakes from cakes and bakes in total, they all looked stunning, but the one I pre ordered wasn’t even ready and overall all the cakes tasted awful, the main one I got tasted out of date and like sour perfume, and the other mini cakes I got were dry and tasteless

Do not order from here! Cake was nothing like the images shown on the website. Personalised message was messed up. After service was even worse than the cake! Please save your money and energy to avoid disappointment.

The cake's sponge was dry. Delivery was good though as well as the service when we called.

Lovely cake, arrived in time. Properly packed. Only downside is that there was too too much cream, on outside and inside.

Cake was delicious and very fresh. Would recommend. However, member of staff in the store when I went to collect was incredibly rude both on the phone and in person. He clearly wanted to close the shop early despite the closing time being 7pm. I arrived at 6.15pm within the time slot given.

We bought pistachio cake in Orpington branch. My kids were all excited because the cake looked delicious and well presented. Unfortunately we all got disappointed. The cake does not taste fresh especially the bottom part, it was wet and smelled bad. The frosting just tasted chemical. We could not even taste the pistachio. We wasted £34.

Extremely disappointing experience. The Black Forest cake was not up to the mark, and there were no delivery updates or tracking information. We spent hours wondering whether the cake would arrive on time. Sadly, this was for our 10th wedding anniversary, and the poor service ended up ruining a special day. I would not recommend this service based on my experience.

Excellent service and delicious cakes!

I’m really disappointed with my experience. Although the cake looked cute on the outside, the inside was very dry. I had specifically requested less cream, but that request was clearly ignored as there was an extremely thick layer of cream both inside and outside the cake.
Collecting the order was also frustrating. I was given an address, but nobody specified that I needed to search “Cake and Box” on Google rather than just using the address itself, which caused me to go to the wrong place that took me 20mins drive there and when i contacted them they said to write cake box on maps which made me arrive late. When I finally got there, I was told I was supposed to collect it by 12pm, and I explained the confusion.
They then said the cake was ready, but when it was brought out, it was missing all the bows and the written message I had requested. I had to point this out and wait another 15–20 minutes for them to fix it.
Overall, the whole experience was very disappointing. Hopefully this was just an issue with this particular store and not the same across all branches.
I even contacted the branch afterwards to tell them the cake was so dry it wasnt eaten by the guests either. But nobody bothered to get back.
