Calyra Reviews 

I found this company through a review site (bestshoptest.com) which is about as legit as the Calyra website! Telescope looked pretty decent and went on the recommendation of the review site. Then, on the 'about us' section, it bangs on about coffee beans(?!) After a closer inspection, even the customer reviews with photos on the actual Calyra website are of the product taken in the same room, just different angles!

Ordered on 9th, contacted them through their website for tracking details on 19th as it was getting close to Christmas. No response. No update on the dodgy tracking website. More like a counter of how many days you can keep your pride in tact rather than how many days it takes to ship!

My own fault down to not doing my due diligence before ordering, but please, please avoid using this company! Even tech savvy(ish) people like me can fall victim to a scam. Joys of being a worn out parent on the run up to Christmas, spinning plates!

Also - Avoid the partner site Lumyy!

Thankfully, Monzo are confident they can win the case and reclaim the money. Fingers crossed!

Ordered a cleaner £140 , one they sent worth bout £35 , seen on Amazon, if sent it back would have pay £25 or more to send it back , keep asking for a full refund but only offer 65% , sent newmures emails , oh we understand our frustration , that’s a laugh ,

I have to agree with most of the other contributors. We should all have looked for reviews and then probably would not have bought! I bought the vacuum, it does work but as others have said, the quality is, at best poor. Came from China, long delay, but the "team" did reply to emails, but only after I threatened to cancel the payment. Offers of goodies and gift cards have not arrived so all in all, a bad deal!

One star is too much.
Looks like we have all been Scammed, placed our order through pay-pal on the 11th and yep keep getting fob off by the Calyra team.

Time to call the authorities.

I have now passed the company details onto Netherland police and UK Fraud squad.
Those who have been scammed. Please contact the UK Fraud or Dutch teams.

Needless to say this company is set up to scam people. How they’re still allowed to operate is astounding. Ordered a vacuum not realising it would be shipping from china (.co.uk) it took 20 days to arrive and when it did I unboxed it to find it was nothing like described. Terrible quality. Really flimsy plastic like a cheap toy. I turned it on and there was absolutely no suction. Funnily enough they haven’t responded to my request for a refund.

I purchased a robotic vacuum on 01/12/25 from Calyra.co.uk. Other than a suspect confirmation order number I have had no other communication from the company. This is a scam !!!

Total and utter scam refuse to answer emails refuse to issue refunds for rubbish products do not deal with them

Had a look on Companies House Website to see who’s behind this company & it’s a 24 year old Dutch kid. Looked at the address on Streetview & looks like he’s running the Scam out of his bedroom at parents house. Once you have his name & address he’s easily accessible on social media. Go to Companies House find company information, type in Calyra, then click on Directors tab & person’s with significant control tab & you’ll find him.
Keep getting fobbed off with excuses re my Telescope delivery. When I belatedly looked on Trustpilot it seems of the 25 1* reviews most are for non delivery of goods. Perhaps the Dutch Authorities need to know about what he’s doing?

Total scam. Money taken and no product delivered. Do not use this company. No tracking updates offered. Stay away and order items elsewhere.

So wish I’d read the reviews. The company is a total scam. I can’t believe that organisations like this are still allowed to trade, they should be forced to stop trading as they are breaking all consumer protection legislation. The vacuum cleaner ordered took weeks to arrive and then was total rubbish and not the item advertised. I’ve returned it straight away but they tell me I must wait until it arrives back in Asia and I have to pay postage and customs duties. They advise a full 30 day money back guarantee online. Why don’t Trading Standards investigate this business?

This website is a scam. They send different products to those actually ordered, and tell you you have to return the product to China at your own expense for a refund, minus customs fees.

Do not touch this company. Oh dear I wish I’d read everyone’s comments. I thought I was buying a projector but as yet it hasn’t arrived, just like everyone else. I’ve emailed several times to ask for a refund, but because it’s in transit excuse - had I know it was coming from China I would have not touched it. Now I look more closely at their website it is full of errors and contradictory information.

This company is a scam. ordered a telescope that didn't arrive. When I wrote an email checking where the order is the said everything is fine. Not fine at all.

I wish I read the reviews first. They took the payment for a vacuum and that's it. No sign of the product. Tracking doesn't work. Non contactable. Avoid at all costs.

Total scam. I was promised hoover in 3 to 5 working days. A completely different hoover arrived 3 weeks later. Tried to return and said I would have to send to Asia at mu cost!! Or keep the wrong hoover and get 15% refund. I paid £175 for hoover I ordered. Hoover sent dvertised on Amazon for £54.99. Company didn’t care. Rubbish customer service

Mine is the same as “consumer” bought a telescope for a Xmas gift for my son……tracking details are absolute pants or even obsolete.
Email reply was telling me not to worry, I am now going to have to go out and buy another telescope incase the original one doesn’t arrive…..SHAMBLES!
