CarTakeBack Reviews

Straightforward no messing round received quote, accepted arranged collection for a few days later, pick up driver was friendly and helpful and paid same day couldn’t ask for anything more 100 percent happy thankyou.

Never did this before these were local to me on google filled in details very easy had a phone call back from them with confirmation and then another phone call and email saying when they were picking it up they did all the work and I got paid soon as car was picked up lovely people to deal with.

Perfect. Turned up exactly on time and paid very quickly. Whole process was simple

Lovely, helpful and friendly staff. They understood the situation we were in with the car and kept in contact with us until collection. Josh. The pick-up driver was brilliant, very professional, punctual and took care of the car. Great service all round. Would recommend.

I have used Car Take Back previously and found the experience was positive, so chose to use them again for 2x cars that needed scrapping. Another great experience. Turned up on time and had the cars on the trailer and paperwork done in about 10 minutes and my money was in the bank about an hour later. I even received an email providing guidance on how to contact the DVLA to inform them the cars had been scrapped- it is the seller's responsibility. Highly recommended.

Terrible communication! This company has arranged multiple time to collect my car, given dates, said they would call an hour before collection..3 maybe 4 times and just haven’t showed up. That’s 3 or 4 times staying home awaiting collection, all day and they have not showed up. They have called and said they would collect today also, between 9-12..time is currently 11:38 and have had no call an hour before, so looks like it’s not being collected again.

CarTakeBack quickly provided several quotes after I submitted my car details, one of which (from Redcorn Car Scrapping) was significantly higher than the best offered by other aggregator sites. I accepted this quote and the process of booking my car's collection, the visit itself and payment by Redcorn all proceeded very smoothly. I would definitely recommend CarTakeBack as your first stop if you are thinking of scrapping your vehicle.

real nice man came to collect call.
and equally nice lady kept me informed by phone on progress
excellent company

A good experience from booking to collection and a fair price paid.

Easy website to use. Good route competed to others. Helpful people to speak to. Great communication. Collection of vehicle was straightforward.

Excellent company, did exactly what they said they would do. Quick and efficient and I received the payment the same day the exact amount that they quoted. I will 100% be using them again

Quick, efficient and easy to use

They said they would turn up...I waited in for a full day and nobody came...no call to say they weren't coming...whole day wasted...then next day they did arrive and everything was ok...but they really need to keep the customer informed better.

Absolute scam company. Take all your personal details including bank details, then provide a generous quote, but never actually turn up to pick the car up. They arranged a date twice to pick the car up and never showed up, cancelling at the last minute both days. Do not trust this company.

Edit: when my husband was called at 4.45pm yesterday he was told that the driver had run out of hours which is why the collection didn’t take place. Car take back have emailed my husband this morning (following this review) to say that they didn’t collect because someone tried to make changes to the booking - no one tried to make changes to the booking, I phoned at lunchtime to ensure the collection was taking place because my husband was at his dad’s hospital bedside as he has had a heart attack which was explained to them on the phone. They are now trying to change their story and blame us for the failed collection, but the truth is they never attempted to collect this car and have now blatantly lied about the reasons. Do not trust this company.

Very easy no complications. Did exactly what they said they would do. Definitely recommend

The process was really smooth. I was kept up to date with everything by Chloe. The site was easy to use.
Liam arrived and was very friendly and understood how sad I was seeing my little car being taken away. Payment made the same day. Excellent service

best price offered, paid it no question, driver had a cheque for me already made out, friendly service. What else you want?

Really helpful and made the process really easy. Would definitely recommend

Had a great experience using car take back. Was the highest quote for car scrapping and the process was easy to complete, with pickup not long after and payment through as quoted. Highly recommend!
