They offered a base price and explained that this was provisional subject to my vehicle matching my description, which it did. Car collected and money the bank exactly as promised. Driver knew the systems and was very helpful.

Very straightforward. Arranged a time and date. The car was collected. They then informed DVLA and notified them of change of ownership and that the vehicle had been destroyed. I may have got a better price but for ease of use and lack of stress, I think they are hard to beat. This is the second car I've got rid off through them.

Terrific service from start to finish. Quick to quote a price which was 50 quid more than anyone else. Picked up the car when they said they would and paid what they offered before the end of the day. All around good guys to deal with. Highly recommended.

Everything just worked as expected, they did everythig they said they would, even when I had to postpone collection at the last minute. Very good.

I got quotes from a few scrap car dealers and all offered around £250.

I then got an online quote with CarTakeBack and was suprised to get an offer of £600.

I didn't believe I would get that amount (based on other quotes) but was hoping it would be somewhere close.

I accepted the offer and received an email saying that it would be handled by Redcorn (Who I had previously contacted directly and been offered £250).

Later that day I received a phone call from CarTakeBack asking various questions about the condition of the car. The answers to all of these were positive so there should have been no reason to knock the price down.

They said they would pass the info to the appraisal team and I later received a call saying they would offer £193 !!

When I questioned it they said the online offer was just an autogenerated quote and not representative.

It is obviously just an inflated number to hook you in. I turned the offer down and would rather give the car away for free than hand it over to a company using such tactics.

For reference, I then got rid of the car using Assington Autos who were brilliant - they offered the best price and collected when they said they would.

Easy and quick to get a quote online, by far the best quote. They contacted me immediately after I accepted the quote and arranged a collection very quickly. The quote was honoured and paid into bank account same day as collection

Great service, they telephoned me to explain the process ,I had a few problems my end but they were very understanding, the car arrived on time and on good shape, friendly staff.
