I called Castle yesterday afternoon to discuss a tripod and head I was thinking about. They listened to what I wanted and confirmed that my choice would work but suggested another tripod and head that was cheaper but would also work. I decided to go with my choice and called them to make sure they had stock for an order which they did, and confirmed that if I ordered via their website straight away, they could despatch that day for delivery the day after.
Order placed and the products arrived today.
Great choice of products at decent prices and people who were willing to help me get what I wanted quickly even though I'm over 180 miles away

I bought a pair of very expensive Canon binoculars online . The courier ( DPD ) did not deliver them to me on the day arranged despite me taking time off to wait in for them. After phoning the courier and getting nowhere I made the mistake of phoning Castle Cameras. Admittedly I was not happy but the man who answered the phone to me had a very bad attitude , he constantly butted in and interruped me as I was trying to explain my problem . After I told him that he should change his attitude ,,, he simply let out a large sigh and put the phone down on me !!. I know that the courier is not Castle Cameras but I was hoping they may be of some help, and no matter what .... you DO NOT hang up the phone to customers who buy expensive equipment from you! . Binoculars were sent back and I will never have anything to do with them again , dreadful after sales service , Appalling attitude ... AVOID .

A great service completely let-down by a very poor refund system. The refund was issued on 11 April, it's now 14 April and I haven't seen the refund in my a/c. I phoned on 13 April. I was assured that the refund had been issued. Maybe it's time to shake-up your refund processes?

I found this retailer to be very prompt with delivery and swift to sort out a problem with a defective bit of gear (not their fault), issuing a refund the following day and refunding postage. I think you can buy from them with confidence

I needed a new camera bag after being burgled, they used my bag to carrey the loot away. I purchased a Tenba Fulton 10L back pack. Superb, it is like a Tardis. I Carrey a carbon travel tripod 1L flask/water bottle. Light weight water proofs.100-400 zoom lens, EOS R6, I pad air, 900mm prime, 50mm prime. memory cards ,spare batteries, binoculars and stuff. castle Cameras deliver on time, well packed and if you have a problem they respond.

First phoned the store as I have never brought a digital camera before so didn't know what to expected.
spoke to a young girl called CLEOLA on the phone .
Explained what I had brought from EBAY and just wanted help.
So called inti the WINTON Branch and spoke to a very knowable lady called CLEOLA .
Vey polite and explained everything to me.
Thank you as an old timer I new nothing of what I have brought from somewhere else.
CLEOLA went over everything to me and put me at ease.

Extremely disappointed in Castle Camera’s in Winton after service. Bought a very expensive pair of Swarovski binoculars through them in Nov 22 when we were reassured the shop provided a very good after sales service. Went back today to explain the fault, which in fairness, we couldn’t demonstrate at the time. But they were reluctant to explore the fault apart from saying they would be sent them back to Austria and it would take at least 8 weeks and “you’ll be without them for that time”. I queried that when we purchased the binoculars we were told there was a Swarovski centre in UK and the reply was we “they’ll just send them to Austria”. It came across from sales assistants that Castle Cameras Winton couldn’t be bothered. We left feeling very disappointed.

Received My Canon R7 this week and received very prompt and satisfying service from the Salisbury shop

I'm following an online photography course at the moment and my course tutor recommended Castle Cameras. The consultant was absolutely excellent. I wanted to change my Nikon for a mirrorless camera primarily for use when I travel. He took into account all of my requirements, talked me through the pros and cons of each option and made it simple to choose the right product. I was particularly impressed with his knowledge about new products as well. I ended up buying the Canon R10. He said that they didn't even have it in stock as it was so new but knew that it was the right product for me. He reserved it and I came back. Having travelled with the product now for about a month, he was absolutely right. It was absolutely the right product for me. First class service! Top marks from me!

Purchase a pair of Vortex Crossfire HD binoculars on Monday and arrived as advertised today (Wednesday).
Was very impressed with service and price, cannot fault them.

I was really impressed with the efficiency of Luke and Rob. They arranged for my trade-in equipment to be collected the next day and offered me a very fair price. The new camera I wanted was delivered with equal rapidity. I’m sure I’ll be dealing with them again. First class all round!

Majority of other camera shops were out of stock and waiting delivery, yet Castle Cameras were still offering £20.00 off the price.
Placed my order there and then and the lens was delivered in less than 24 hours.

After reviewing several options online, we called ahead to the Salisbury branch and arranged for a couple of camera and lens combinations to be held in store for us to have a look at.
Everyone was very helpful, but in particular Matt spent over an hour with us talking through the options and letting us try different options and we never felt rushed.
A few additional items were placed on back order and timely emails made sure we always had the information we needed about the delivery.
Very happy indeed with the service.

I've visited their shop in Salisbury and also placed an online order. Lovely people, very helpful and informative in the shop. Originally bought a new body and lens, plus one used lens (they gave me a very reasonable price for that). New stuff was the same price as Amazon/other retailers and eligible for Sony cashback (Amazon isn't).

Later ordered an extra lens online. It was very nicely packed, dispatched quickly and came with some sweets (that was a nice surprise).

Don't normally bother writing reviews for shops but I'm so glad stores like this still exist and have staff that actually know about the stuff they sell. Keep it up!
