DO NOT USE this company! They broker out to unreliable companies who are unprofessional and completely unreliable! Easy Movers based out of Miami-Flagler Street picked up furniture on August 24th. It is now September 10th and I keep calling to get
An eta which keeps getting delayed. Totally unacceptable!

My son and his wife just moved from Denver, Colorado to Idaho and had a horrible experience with Charter Van Lines. Just listen to what these unprofessional people did...

Overall- Do not move with this company!

1) The bill estimate did not match the total cost. We did add three items (two boxes, one shoe rack) day of but we also got rid of queen mattress, queen mattress frame, 40 in TV. The mover looked at the three items (eyeballed it) and said that it would add 50 cubic feet and upped our total charge instead of measuring the actual cubic feet once in the vehicle. The first movers also told us we needed to pay 60% now and 40% at delivery... it was 50% and 50% when I called customer support. He lied.
2) They moved our personal items from the original moving truck into an 18 wheeler, then charged us $1 per square foot ($480) to move into a U-Haul truck that would fit in our apartment complex. I'm unaware of any apartment complex that could sustain an 18 wheeler.... We were also never told that it would be different companies throughout this moving process.
3) When trying to get ahold of customer service, the representative kept repeating that "it is in the contract" and when I asked for her to guide me to the portion of the contract that states the items would be moved into an 18 wheeler, she referred me to where it says "May move into warehouse." Not helpful.
4) Upon delivery, there was only one mover. My husband had to physically help move items so the gentleman was not breaking his back.

I recently moved cross-country with Charter Van Lines, and I can’t say enough about their exceptional service! From start to finish, the team was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about making my move stress-free. The booking process was smooth, with clear communication about costs and timelines. The movers arrived on time, handled my belongings with care, and even went the extra mile to wrap fragile items securely. Everything arrived in perfect condition, which was a huge relief. Their attention to detail and friendly attitude made a daunting move feel manageable.

If I had to nitpick, there was a slight delay in getting an updated delivery window due to some scheduling mix-up, but they resolved it quickly and kept me informed. Overall, Charter Van Lines exceeded my expectations, and I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable moving company!

HORRIBLE experience! Started out good, Nikki made it all so easy. BUT, they ask for a pretty hefty deposit upfront. And the reason for that is as soon as they get that money, they contract out everything else! Nikki told me I could use credit card for the entire transaction, which be careful theirs will be lower than most others. The company they contract out to, simply called moving company, also called All moving relocation is awful. They will not take credit card even though I signed a contract with charter van lines saying I was using credit card, they have horrible communication clearly it is someone sitting in their living room that answers their customer service calls and she answers “hello“ nothing else no company name, sounds like she just woke up. See for yourself 1 (866) 800-6986. When they got here to pick my stuff up, they tried to add another $1000 to my bill, they didn’t take specific things that we had wrapped and told them to take, they then took a bunch of things we told them not to take. Nikki from charter told me my stuff would be stored in Florida, when the contract came for the other company it turns out all my stuff is somewhere in Tennessee! They will not release my stuff because all I have to pay is a credit card and they will only take cash or money order! they do not answer emails. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. When I tried to talk to Nikki from charter, their customer service told me oh you can no longer speak to Nikki. What?! Yep, they won’t even let you talk to the person you sign the contract with! Then they don’t answer your voicemails or emails until AFTER the date in which you are supposed to schedule your delivery to the final destination, so they can then charge you under a bunch of storage over $450! Once you sign their documents for pick up and delivery, on DocuSign all the documents disappear when you need them!As it stands right now, I cannot get a hold of them, I cannot get my stuff delivered to my final destination, and no one will help me! Any positive review you see for them must be paid! Because this is the worst company I have ever dealt with with the worst communication the worst service and the worst experience ever! Do not use them!

Never contract this company for your move. They are very unprofessional people with any tools to move your stuff. Also, charge more money and contract other companies to do the work without your authorization.. The other company they contracted Eazy1 moving, was worse than them. Please never trust this company. It is a zero-star. My experience was horrible, stressful and unfair. It is a waste of your money .

STEER FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Charter Van Lines is a broker not movers….your move is sourced out to a third party. Once they get your business their customer service connections come to a screeching halt. Customer service is as sweet as can be but don’t be fooled.

The company that actually moved my stuff was Cobra Van lines out of New Jersey.

First, I never received a call on pick up date. I had to call them a few times. The movers called the day before my two day window and estimated that they would arrive on the 2nd day around 2 pm, they called again at 4 pm to say they were stuck in traffic and were 3 hours away and would not arrive till 7:30 pm, they called again to say they would not arrive till around 9:30 pm.

Once they assessed my items being moved they informed me that I had more cubic feet than Charter estimated. In order for them to load my stuff I had to agree and sign to the new terms costing me an additional $400+. Since it was so late my hands were tied and I had no other alternative. Had I refused they would not load my furnishings.

In the grand scheme I was a small move out of state, they finished loading they left at 1:00 am.

My furnishing were transported to a warehouse where they sat for three weeks. I never heard from a soul and my attempts to get updates were futile.

I finally received my furnishings 24 days from pick up date.

Movers were pleasant but I was a bit taken back when one of the movers hinted about tipping and who should receive it excluding the truck driver.

I am glad to receive my stuff albeit in rough condition.

There are a lot of document in fine print that is not fully disclosed at time of reservation so BEWARE‼️

Do not use these crooks. They give estimates, then when the moving company shows up, they charge you WAY MORE. If you call to complain, they won't take your phone call and ignore you.

I was given an arrival window of 2-5 PM for my move and they didn't show up at all. No phone calls or any communication. I tried to reach out to them but there's no one in office on Sunday. My flight is tomorrow morning and I had to hire another company to perform the service.

They do not deserve any stars. They contacted me after I submitted an online quote for a long-distance move. The rep that contacted me was very rude, very forceful, very unprofessional, became angry and hung up on me, simply for asking can I compare prices first. I asked repeatedly if I could get off the phone to compare prices because I didn't want to be rude and just hang up on him. He became upset because I denied information about other companies, what cubic footage they were offering and said, "I don't know why you're on the phone with a moving company anyway" and then hung up. I called back to report him to customer relations and get the name of the rep... Michael, who introduced himself as the manager said I spoke to Robert and Shawn (when in all reality, I only spoke with one person). Michael was even more rude as he minimized the behaviors displayed, stating, "You know what it is Miss Jones, we found you a direct route and you refused it" as if he was making excuses and empathizing for his rep's rudeness. Michael then said, "Please don't call back!"...Did you'll forget that your company called me? ****Unprofessional Company**********

a Sunday with minimal payment options for my household items. Thankfully, the driver accepted a Walmart money order, but this was the only smooth part. I had already paid $200 upfront but still needed to receive communication regarding my vehicle. After learning their truck had broken down, I had to scramble to book another company. Only after I secured a new service did a different driver show up unannounced, forcing me to cancel the backup plan.
Despite clearly stating I would not be available after August 20th, Charter Van Lines ignored this crucial information and even accused me of lying. Because of their incompetence, I had to rely on friends to receive my car.
On top of that, my household goods were delayed, and Charter Van Lines tried to justify it with their 10-day delivery window. However, the company handling the actual move, StreamLine, was professional and helpful, unlike the unprofessional behavior of Charter Van Lines.
Charter Van Lines is unreliable, deceptive, and fails miserably at communication. They pass work to third-party companies without informing customers and then try to cover it up. Their reviews appear suspiciously polarized, with primarily 5-star and 1-star ratings, raising questions about their authenticity. If you're looking for a reliable moving service, avoid Charter Van Lines at all costs.

Do not use Charter Vanlines!Horrible experience.They sell you on quality service and a reasonable price which changes once you sign the contract and pay a deposit.We had over a $1000 upcharge for packing which should have been covered but wasn’t accurately presented.The packers took the entire day and didn’t protect some items which were damaged.Bottom line is this is a broker who subs out to a contractor based on price not quality.Our belongings were never delivered to the intended final destination as the movers played so many games not being transparent about their timing and willingness to deliver in Boston.Ultimately we had to hire another smaller moving company to get our delivery accomplished.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. Took 37 days to get my move! Called them multiple times and all I got was "move is delayed". No explanation, no delivery date, no common courtesy, nothing. This company in unprofessional in every aspect. They are unethical, untrustworthy and the worst company I have ever dealt with. If I could give negative stars I would. Total nightmare.

They charged way more than the initial quote.
The main complaint I have is all my broken items and the things they lost. The tool box, shark steam mop, Kirby vacuum and the top of my other tool box is completely missing. Chest of drawers, headboard, over the toilet storage, antique lamp and collectible plates all broken.
The claims department has not helped me at all. Calls are not being returned.

Excellent follow-up and communication throughout the transaction.

They were able to move my 12-foot Fiddle Leaf without damaging it, which says a lot about their ability to pack and move things.

It is with great pleasure that I pen this review for the exceptional services delivered by this moving company. Their ability to deftly and efficaciously handle my belongings was nothing short of impressive. Not only were they prompt and punctual, but their meticulous acuity indicated a company that takes great pride in its craft.

We were quoted one price for our move, then they had a quality assurance call which increased our cost by around $1500 plus despite my being specific about sizes and our additional storage unit the cubic feet all for us to move wasn’t sufficient. At move day they wanted an additional $1700 to get t storage. Plus they added over $400 for packing charges. I had packed all the boxes they only had to deal with the furniture. Which I had been told would be blanket wrapped, when I mentioned shrink wrapping I was told that they don’t use bc it’s not environmentally friendly (they insisted that shrink wrap be used on my sofa)
Then when they delivered all things were packed into my living room/dining room and not one piece that they disassembled was reassembled as they were supposed to.

They got us from AL to TX without a hitch. They arrived on schedule and in one piece. The movers were helpful and kind. In fact, I wouldn't hesitate to use it again!

They are one of those companies that sucker you in with a great deal up front then they keep upping the price as you go along. They are completely untrustworthy. I would rather pay more to work with a company that is honest. They make promises about delivery time to get you on board then tell you oh the fine print says we have this much time to deliver when you are waiting a week for your property. Find someone else!!!! From the customer service reps to the drivers are con artists.
