Good product and delivery

Customer service was really good but the delivery wasn’t we received one part of the furniture on the delivery date then the second part of the furniture a few days after that. Shame it couldn’t have been delivered all on the same day. Bit of a let down to a really good service

AVOID – absolutely disgraceful customer service

Possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

My furniture arrived badly damaged, with both boxes battered in transit and the furniture itself cracked. The company actually acknowledged in writing that the damage went beyond what was described and that part of the furniture had been damaged in transit.

You’d think that would result in an apology and a straightforward resolution. Apparently not.

Instead, I was met with endless emails, excuses, arguments and an astonishing determination to avoid taking proper responsibility for goods that THEY acknowledged had arrived damaged.

To make matters worse, they insisted that I should pay to return the damaged furniture simply because I wouldn’t accept replacement parts. So, despite acknowledging the damage, they expected me to be out of pocket for returning goods that had arrived in an unacceptable condition. Absolutely appalling customer service.

The most ridiculous part is that the goodwill they could have generated by simply arranging collection would surely have been worth far more than whatever they saved by refusing to pay the return carriage. Instead, they turned what should have been a straightforward resolution into an exhausting and unnecessarily unpleasant battle, losing a customer permanently in the process.

I have genuinely never encountered a company so determined to make resolving such an obvious problem so ridiculously difficult.

Selling cheap furniture is one thing. Providing cheap customer service is another. And this company definitely wins the prize for the latter.

Absolutely dreadful experience from start to finish. I wouldn’t touch this company again with a bargepole.

UPDATE following the company’s response below:

I need to correct two potentially misleading points in the company’s response.

Firstly, I was NOT offered a replacement dining set. I was offered replacement PARTS for the damaged furniture. That is quite different.

Secondly, saying that I “chose to return the item at [my] own cost” omits the rather important fact that I repeatedly asked the company to arrange collection of the damaged goods and they refused to cover the return cost. I therefore had to pay the return carriage myself in order to get their damaged furniture back to them.

As the company has now publicly confirmed below, the furniture was damaged in transit. I did not change my mind about an undamaged purchase.

Finally, the “full refund” referred to in their response followed my having to raise a chargeback through my bank. The company subsequently informed me that it had accepted the chargeback.

Their response below, and the way it presents what actually happened, only reinforces my original review.

FINAL UPDATE: The company’s amended response now confirms the key points of my review: the furniture was damaged in transit; I was offered replacement PARTS, not a replacement dining set; and because I declined those parts, the company required me to pay the cost of returning the damaged goods myself. A company’s own returns policy does not override a consumer’s statutory rights.
Readers can decide for themselves whether they consider that satisfactory customer service.

I have had the worst experience with this company they delivered my item and left outside my house which I never said they could as it’s not a secure place so now my items has gone missing and the company is Doing nothing about it at all

I recently ordered the Lisson 5 Drawer Chest in White from Cheap Furniture Warehouse. Unfortunately, the delivery didn’t go quite as planned, but I wanted to take the time to recognise the excellent customer service I received.

My order was sent through FedEx in two large packages, and both were marked as delivered despite neither arriving at my address.

After checking the delivery photograph and GPS information, it became clear that the packages had been left at a property on a completely different street, approximately seven minutes away.

I was understandably frustrated, especially as these weren’t small parcels that could easily be overlooked!

I contacted Cheap Furniture Warehouse, and I have to say they were brilliant. They responded quickly, looked into the delivery details, provided the GPS information and followed up with FedEx to try to get the situation resolved.

In the end, it was actually the gentleman at the incorrect delivery address who kindly brought both large packages to my home himself. He hadn’t even realised they had been left outside his property until the following day.

Although I was disappointed with how FedEx handled the delivery, I genuinely cannot fault Cheap Furniture Warehouse. They were helpful, professional and kept me informed throughout.

I haven’t had the chance to fully assess the chest of drawers yet, so this review is based on my experience with their customer service.

I always believe that it’s how a company handles things when something goes wrong that really shows the level of service they provide.

Thank you to the team at Cheap Furniture Warehouse for being so responsive and helpful. Your efforts were genuinely appreciated, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you based on the service I’ve received.

The cabinet I purchased 5 stars, especially given the price. The wardrobe however.. was a tough experience and I currently waiting for bulky waste collection. It was a risk given the nature, but none of the holes lined up, I expected some flaws, which there were but mostly my issue was the fact it did not stand straight, and the holes didn't line up. The delivery service they used were really nice, brought it all the way in for me.

I bought a king size bed online from Cheap Furniture Warehouse. When I opened the boxes to put it up, I noticed that there were parts missing. I called the phone number found online and the lad on the phone asked to email the online team. I e-mailed them and they replied very fast asking to send photos of the exact parts that were missing. Upon further inspection, I realised that I was wrong, I informed the online customer team and they were very patient with my query. The bed is up and looking good. I would recommend them and will buy from them again. Good affordable prices.

If I had known that it was going to take so long to deliver I would never have ordered it in the first place the advert didn't explain about the time it was going to take. two weeks later and still no sign of my order. a single base unit cheaper certainly isn't better
