scam sighed up for their trial thing 5 days same day aka today they charged me 1 2 3 6.99 then 29.99 dollars not even close to the five days this a scam Tuesday I’m going to the bank haveing this voided my money back

I hate that I have to even rate them 1 star. I wish I could rate them -10 stars. I filled out all of my information to run my report. They first advertised that you could run one report completely free. Then once the site is finished gathering all your information, it prompts you for your card information and says it will only charge you $1.00 for your report and the dollar is to upgrade you to run unlimited reports for a month. But what happens is the get your card info and immediately try to hit you for $29.16 and will continue to monthly. It tells you that you can cancel at any time, but from what I gather by reading other reviews is that they provide you with no way to cancel your membership and people have reported having trouble reaching customer service or anyone for that matter to cancel the membership. They do provide a legitimate service, so they technically can’t be classified as a scam. But truth be told, it’s a scam!!! Don’t walk, run away from this one.

Total scam!!! False advertising and inaccurate reporting!

Scam! They said they’d charge $1 as a promotional deal but charged close to $50. For 1 search I did. And I did not sign up for a subscription. They didn’t say they would charge that only $1. Now I’m trying to contact them and can’t. No one has gotten back to me.

They claimed to charge only "$1.00" but then ACTUALLY charged $29.16 for the report. I rejected the charges but watch out for this company.

Scam. Well they offered a 5 day pass for only $1. So I transfered all but ,$5 out of the account just as an experiment. And low and behold why was I not surprised when I saw they tried to debit me $30 . What happened to the 5 day pass for $1 ? Liars and thrives. That's what the world has come to. Everyone is running a scam these days. Consumer beware. This is one full-of-s**t company

I have been trying to get a job for weeks and I went on to fill out another job application. And it prompted me to do a background. Check upon myself which I assumed the employer wanted. So I went ahead and did it. And while it's loading, it shows you certain information. All of which on me sounded horrible and it's 100% wrong. So of course, at the end, I wanted to purchase it so that I could see exactly what who had written about me. Only to find out that I didn't accept either one of the cards I tried to Put On there and when I tried to call the number that it gives you for support. The lady informed me that it had to be with my bank. I checked before I ever put my card number on there and made sure that there was money in the account. There's no reason for it to decline. And she looked up both of my email addresses. Even though I know exactly which one is on there and said that she found me nowhere in the system, so with that being said, if there are, I know it states that you're not supposed to do it for employment? You're not supposed to do it for this. You're not supposed to do it for that, but if it's cheaper than regular background checks. Of course they're going to do it. And if your information is incorrect then I believe that I'm 110% and in the right here and I should be entitled to a copy of this report that they have on file regarding myself. That, like I said, the information that shows while it is loading it's horrible, it makes it sound like I've got an extensive criminal record. I do not. It makes it sound like I have injured children. I have never it makes it sound so horrific that there's no wonder I'm not getting hired. It says something about. Real estate that I own somewhere. I do not. I wish I did. This is insane and it should be a criminal offense. You can't stand up and say something negative about anyone without paying for it. They shouldn't be able to either. This is published and any one can run this. And this is insane that they're allowed to keep this posted when I'm telling them that it's incorrect. I should have to pay for their services to find out what they're showing the world. Ann, making it impossible for me 2 pay 4..

Scam. Appears to be creating a report. Several pages and 5 minutes. Pulls my system information and responses. Then says I am blocked for security reasons.

If they want to block do it before you pull my information.

This service is a bunch of BS. The information in my report is incorrect. Don't waste you $1 or the $6.95 for the ability to view, print, download a PDF. Make sure to call before the end of the 5 day trial, if you decide to continue with this sham, or be changed $29.16. The web sight says you can call someone 24/7 however when you call the number on the web sight you get a message saying Mon-Fri 8 to 5. Not available over the long weekend there for not able to cancel in time basically stealing my money. What a scam

I joined on the 4 $1.00 trial for 5 days. On the 5 they charged $6.99 just a day later and put a hold on 29.16. When I discovered this I immediately called. And what I stated was what their rep said. She did say she can’t refund the $6.99. This is fraudulent Information and website do t use.

An absolute scam. Even after I canceled, was still charging my account twice a month. I had to shut down my card, and get a new one. Smh

I called on the second day, third day, and fourth day of the trial period. they hung up after I told them I wanted to cancel my free trial. They hung up three times. They charged my account $29.16 on the second day then deleted and changed it to the fifth day. They didnt give me any information I didn't already know.
Dont give them information or money.
UPDATE: After a discussion about this review, checkpeople.com did refund the whole amount and canceled my account.

What a ripoff service. Sucker post of $1.00 for report and then get charged $6.95 for service I didn’t request. Called and agent said it would be removed and then received email stating a valid cost. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE

This company uses the scam entrapment that many others do. Get the service for $1-. Cancel or be charged $29+. And be subscribed. Is there an easy way to cancel before being charged? No. Do they remind you? No.
Caveat Emptor! The service is useless. You can get all the info yourself. The web has instructions. It is easy.
I was billed but they "can't" reverse the charges, only cancel future billing. I am 74 on a fixed income. This charge represents a weeks worth of groceries!
This negative option plan must be changed to a positive option plan. I told the huffy rep that I will refuse to pay. She said in a sneering voice "we already got the money." All she needed to say next was ha ha. This is billed in advance. There is no reason it can't be reversed.
These little companies need to be investigated. These so called great offers are all over the web. It should not be ... If you don't like cancel, it should be if you like... sign me up.

This dishonest company is despicable and repulsive. It's unbelievably unethical and should be illegal to exploit deceased people who have not been alive since the invention of the internet yet this disgusting company doesn't mind exploiting their old information and make it impossible to remove since they are no longer alive to make the request themselves and have absolutely no email or contact information and worse, they sell this information as up to date and current. Over 39 years old and they list it multiple times as current info. How is this even legal?

this website shows a person charged in California not stating the reason ,it was misleading as something criminal when in fact it was just a speeding violation

Called to cancel near the end of day 5. 4 days and 22 hours to be exact. They charged the full amount, changing the specific terms of their trial. They also hung up on me mid sentence. Avoid.

Some places they say they have 24 hour support others they say they have hours. Took several tries to confirm cancellation within 5 day period and they overcharged anyhow.
