Their site is full of misinformation and is pretty much useless. Their support team is even more useless. Don't be fooled by their low price; you can find the same information about anyone with 5 minutes on Google. Save your money.

This is a deceptive website! After they say the have a report for you and all you have to do is pay $4.99, I got nothing of value in the report. I called to cancel the subscription an hour later. I looked on my Paypal account, and they charged me $4.99 plus $6.99! I don't know what the second charge was for because I didn't sign up for any additional service.
I recommend staying away from this company.

did the 5 day free trial called the next day to cancel and also cancel from my account. Got a charge on 7/24/2023, 7/27/23and 8/2/2023 I called to see why and try to log in to my account and it said I didn't have account. So screen shot the desk top and email to them that I don't have account under my email address. I was talking to customer service rep and he told me I did have account and asked him what email he ad on file for me and he wouldn't answer. I cancel and again and never received email saying I cancel until I sented them another email. I never sign up for free five day service becasue I didn't want to be billed , they email after and offer the report I wanted for $6.99. they got my debit calrd and started to charge my account for two months of $29.17 and I don't even have account with them .

No free trial. They just start charging your card multiple times. Won’t help you . Cancel and they charged me 3 times in one day.

This company banned my account after 2 days of using it. I paid for one month. The email says they have no reason for banning me. This doesn’t make any sense!

They hide their billing terms and get you to sign up for a subscription without realizing it. They eventually refunded my money when I pointed out that they were violating the terms of a settlement they reached with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

It is a Total SCAM, I signed up for a $1.00 Trial and was charged $6.99 & $29.17, I called and canceled right away, so far they refunded the $29.17, waiting to see if the $6.99 is refunded. The $6.99 is to print out your report which is Crazy. They Do Not tell you that they are charging your card for the $29.17 anywhere.

It was easy to sign up and I quickly found the information I needed.

My idiot husband went on this site one time and stupidly gave his card info to them. Now they are still taking $30 a month even after he went on and cancelled. Seems like all this site is good for is stealing money from hard working people

Ran a report on myself for a dollar, then minutes later charged for a monthly 6.99, ok figured I had a week to call and stop the 6.99charges…NOPE, cc company shut off my card for fraud, first was 29.99 to check people, then was multiple holds for 1 dollar international google transactions. This is all 3 days prior to using check people. Then with the help of my credit card company found out someone was using my card to build their Shopify account, I didn’t know what that was. Shortly after freezing my accounts, I realized in the past 3 days my Apple ID, Amazon, Etsy, Spotify, Netflix etc. were all being used by devices outside my country. This site basically just gave information from white pages-claiming background report, to gain my financial information to give to parties overseas. What a nightmare all happening a week before I go on vacation. Don’t put your information in this site it is being sold to overseas parties for fraudulent transactions, this site is used to hack people. Yup I just paid someone to give my financial information and secure passwords to china and India scam rings.

I called and cancelled for Check People. Com. But they still took money out of my bank account. Leaving me with $2. I called them about it. They said they never received notice to stop use of them. I don't know about anyone else but I don't tape record my conversations. They refused to put the money back on my account.
If you use them record everything that is said and dates. Plus who you talked to. This is important because money is tight now for all. And businesses need to be held accountable for what they do.

This is a very devious company. They advertise $1 charge to check yourself on the internet. What they don't tell you is that if you print out the report there is an additional $6.99 charge. No wonder people don't trust calling companies like this. I canceled within 30 minutes of doing a check on myself. I confirmed with them that there was no additional charges other than the $1 fee for running a background check on myself. They confirmed no it was only $1. They don't tell you if you printed out there is charges $6.99 for printing it. It's a very shady business.

A very dishonest company. They have hidden upsells in the fine print. And their “hassle free cancellation” means the only way to cancel the subscription is to call them and convince them that you want to cancel.

It seemed to work pretty well. But due to the expense of serious medical issues, I canceled my membership. I was later charged even though I had canceled.

I found a long-lost cousin with CheckPeople and was thrilled. The site was very easy to navigate, even though I’m not very tech-savvy,and the report i received was incredibly thorough and helped me figure out how to contact them again.

I highly recommend this site to anyone looking to find old friends or classmates - it’s much better than just trying to look them up on Facebook!
