Very helpful, gave me the information I was looking for.

Be VERY careful when using CheckPeople! They are sneaky - will ask if you would like your report in PDF format - this costs $6.99! I was on the site less than one hour. I followed the instructions sending an email to cancel the service. 14 days later I get an email that my bank has denied paypal charges for insufficient funds. (this is a seperate acct. I set up to use for online orders - I only put money into this acct when I order online, mostly Paypal). When I investigated the charges were $29.16 from CheckPeople! I called them - they denied I ever sent the cancel email and refused to refund my money. I filed a compaliant with Paypal. I checked with the BBB - and found out the Los Angeles District Attorney's office had fined the company for over $750K for illegal charges! I sent and email to the LA DA's office. I notified CheckPeople. I got my refund

Good, cancel account immediately. Did over charge me 1 month. Would like it returned if possible. I never even used your service.

It was OK but it didn't tell me if I was on a government watch list or not

The information was outdated and I still have not found the individual I am looking for.

The information they provide is very much lacking and a lot is incorrect.

I have never even heard of check people before today when I noticed a weird $1 charge on my debit card. I have never been to their site. I haven’t lost my debit card or I haven’t had it stolen. I have 0 idea how they even charged me the $1! I have a dispute filled with my bank and they are sending me a new card but I’m confused to how they even got the card in the first place! Lucky for me my bank txts me whenever money comes in or out of my account. If they didn’t, who knows what they might have fraudulently charged me for next!

I subscribed for a free trial at the beginning of this week and paid $1. The following day I called to canceled the subscription,but I had a hard time.
During the course of the cancellation, I was told that the account that I had canceled in 2017, the subscription was never canceled, and they took $44.17 from my card.
The representative claimed that he couldn't bring up the cancellation or the fact regarding the account, but he said everything else.
I hung up and called back, only to get the same person. I asked to speak with someone else and he said that he wasn't authorized to do that.
What a CROCK!!!

This company just charged me a subscription fee and then banned my account permanently for violating the "Do's & Don'ts". I have not violated any terms of service yet my account was still charged. The website gives very limited information anyway and is not even worth signing up for. They couldn't even tell me why my account was flagged for a violation. Horrible company. 0/10 do not recommend

I never heard of this company and never been on their site but they are stealing money from my bank account! I will be filing charges with my lawyer!!!!!!

Scame company don’t put your credit card information they keep charging you totally fraud

This Check People company is a SCAM.
Run!, don't even put in your credit card info. This company scammed me as well as plenty of others (see all the bad reviews). Called customer service cause I was supposed to pay $4.99 for 3 day trial. I called on the 3rd day to cancel, & they already charged my card for not just the 4.99 but they charged me $6.99 plus monthly fee of $29.16.
I asked customer service to refund my charges, the employee REFUSED to give me the supervisor's name, or connect to a supervisor, then he hung up on me.
In addition the background check is FALSE INFO, I even tried it myself. It was saying I had alias names ( I never even heard of these names in my life !!!

Scam city. Pay the trial for $4.99 and cancel within 148 hrs to avoid the $29.16 monthly fee, but when you cancel THEY don’t actually process the cancellation. Not sure if everyone is in on the scam, or maybe it’s just management. When I called to demand my refund after canceling, they put me on hold asking how I canceled. Then they put you on hold for 5 minutes to return and say, we have no record of you canceling. Liars ! They simply refused to process the cancellation.
