This is a wonderful resource for small groups collecting on an informal basis.
Each time we meet the virtual pot is passed around to save up for things like our annual Zoom subscription.
Collctiv makes it so very easy to both donate and withdraw funds. Our participants find it straightforward and safe to donate and our funds are held securely.
They also appreciate the option to remain anonymous.
By far the best platform of all the ones I researched for our purposes

Charges to withdraw to bank account which I was not expecting having used this service several times previously

Would have given 0 if I could. Spent more than 3 hours in a number if occasions to deposit the collected money to my account but the identification process is buggy. My money is still there since July. You can guess their business model.

It felt as though collectiv was trying to scam me and the people adding to the collection at every step! Adding on donations and charging me to withdraw the cash immediately. I've had to take money out of my own personal account to cover the gifts for my children's teachers because I couldn't withdraw the money in time. I would never use this service again.

Really user friendly app. Great if you arranging multiple gifts at the same time.

Downloaded this a while ago for my Girls Football team to fundraise on. So easy to use and even easier for other people to donate. Simple click of a button, Apple Pay, Google Pay and card options. Makes my life easier as I know who has donated how much and when I used this for my raffle I had contact emails for everyone.

Customer service is also exceptional. Withdrawal didn’t process but after they emailed me, it was a simple fix as I put the wrong bank details in. Day later and a follow up email from them confirming the withdrawal has been successful.

A very simple-to-use app that is clear for both admins and contributors

I used Collctiv to collect contributions from our work team for our Christmas lunch, thinking I would Iike to avoid using my personal account. Unfortunately, I ran into major issues. I discovered that I cannot pay the restaurant directly from the Collctiv pot—I have to withdraw the money into my private account, which defeats the purpose of using Collctiv in the first place.

To withdraw, I needed to complete ID verification. Despite providing all requested personal documents (drivers license, passport), videos, etc. and following the process multiple times, the verification keeps failing, and support keeps asking me to repeat it.

Because of this, I cannot pay the restaurant, and Collctiv is effectively holding the team’s funds. This has caused unnecessary stress, waste of time and frustration.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Collctiv. It has been a complete hassle and extremely disappointing.

Simple, easy to use! Collectiv was suggested by another parent who uses it at work for birthday collections so it was great to use for collecting for a teacher gift. So good to help separate it from my own money especially during peak holiday season.

Christmas lunch .... so much easier for people to pay you than them having to check that they have your bank details entered correctly. I will be using Collctiv again. Many thanks.

I have been using Collctiv for years now to collect money for end of term teacher gifts, Beaver leaders who were leaving, etc. I find it fuss free, straightforward, I can send money straight to my bank account and i can extract the messages to print out for the cards. It works for me like a treat! :0)

Be careful not to miss the charges - it’s not as easy as it looks. Withdrawal takes time and if loads of people forget to turn donation off the company take a lot of the money

I do not like this app even though there is an option to not pay towards a fee. It’s not the clearest when people are putting money in for a child’s birthday and this resulted in my son‘s birthday money being reduced by like £10 which may not be a lot but for him it was so I feel this is very unfair and then to top it off when you withdraw the money they then take an extra £3 in charges. I think it’s absolutely disgusting. Will not be using this site again.

Good tool as idea with hidden costs (contributions 10% and non optional tip at the end). Disappointment!
