Great company, great doors and amazing customer service.

Super website - easy to navigate - fabulous website.. it’s a bonus to see great products too.

Delivered a damaged door, won't take back or refund.

No one answers the phone, when I ask about it on the live chat I get ignored and no one is replying to my email.

If this continues I'm going to be forced to take legal action. Looking at the other trust pilot review I am not the only person who has had this issue. Avoid at all costs!

I cancelled my order as the company failed to provide me a delivery date on the 5+ occasions I contacted them - both on email and the ‘chat’ facility.

At least twice i messaged the ‘chat’ bot with no response. The person that rang me initially assured me that she would give me a delivery date and said ‘there was a problem with suppliers’. I explained the urgency and stated i would need to consider cancelling in the circumstances. I also explained that the ‘chat’ facility was very poor with no contact and she promised to ‘feed that back’.

They then sent me my OWN email back stating ‘confirmation of email received’ with NO date.

The only time I then received human contact (the same person) was when in my frustration I put a poor review online. At that stage I asked that they email me a date for delivery which the caller promised to do by the Thursday of that week - this again never happened.

I had no choice then but to contact my credit card and cancel as i had absolutely no indication when the door would arrive (or whether I had actually been scammed). I needed to seek an alternative, as work was being held up by the delay.

Having cancelled the order (still no contact from Dave’s Doors at that stage) a door subsequently arrived some days after - again ….no email/contact whatsoever to state it had been sent and (provided from another well know supplier i note) and luckily someone was home to receive it.

It now has pride of place on my dining room floor until the old door that was temporarily since repaired due to this issue (and i have in situ currently) is taken off!

I have since had numerous emails and a rather unpleasant voice message from the company yesterday (same caller as before) which is threatening in its tone. The message states that ‘i have received goods that i have not paid for and the matter is being considered by them as FRAUD’

I had emailed the company stating I had every intention to pay for the door but asked for compensation (email sent to info@daves doors - no reply ….surprisingly).

I have reluctantly paid in full despite the service/late delivery and costs incurred waiting.

The ‘service’ you provided to me is nothing short of disgraceful. I understand that suppliers can let you down, but failing to make meaningful contact to a customer despite making at least 2 verbal assurances, is just not on. This has cost me time and money keeping a carpenter hanging around.

The door finally turned up with NO prior contact re a delivery date and AFTER I informed my credit credit card to cancel the order. It is now stuck in my lounge as I now have to get a carpenter BACK in to remove the old door. The chap that delivered the door stated I was not the only customer despatched goods that day with no prior communication or contact.

Personally contacting customers who have paid many hundreds of pounds up front for VERY late goods, which were received in these circumstances (and in the manner and tone that i was subjected to on voicemail) is nothing short of shameful.

Buyer must read AND DON’T BUY FROM THEM, we purchased online and they sent us doors from howdens which were incorrect, and order refused, as this was not correct, they don’t answer the phones or emails just the blog Jon, then they state a £85.46 delivery charge was not refunded as Howden’s charge them a delivery however after checking with Howden’s this was not the case and it was free delivery as the error was the error of Johns doors. I get penalised for it what is an error of theres very confusing! the refund states paid in full on the refund page at johnsdoors however this is £85.46 short they now state is a transaction charge what are not a load of rubbish. We are in establish company and will be taking these court as I’ve just issued proceedings. If you are looking to purchase from this company, please don’t it’s very wrong and the communication is extremely shocking including when I speak on the chat. I screenshot all the conversation that Jon on the current communication states they have never said that even though I have screenshots of them saying that, I simply don’t know what they are thinking. i have trying to resolve it nicely now we’re heading to court please be aware. shocking service. The response is total lies and they sent the wrong doors and was not my mistake they have not refunded in full at all complete lies.wow they even put on my personal details what a shambles of a company and complete fraudsters

Fantastic website, brilliant easy to use door design tool. I’ve managed to design the door we are looking for within minutes - would definitely recommend!

Terrible customer service. No one answers the phone. Blunt on the online chat too. Why allow us to ‘add frame’ when actually it’s just 4 pieces of wood we have to join together. Our builder has decades of experience and agreed to fit the frame together properly , it needed several hundred pounds of work from a qualified carpenter for the mitres etc. Door was nice but some imperfections, more than should be considering the price. Overall very very disappointing and would not recommend

Total rip off. These doors are mainly, if not all, howden products, delivered locally to you direct from howdens. Get your builder to purchase for you at a fraction of the price- total misleading website! You cannot speak to this company, it is all email or web chat - big warning sign. Dave’s doors lives off the back of other companies far cheaper. Do your research and stay clear!

User friendly website,love seeing actual photos of the doors instead of drawing of doors bright fresh professional and inviting website. pages load quickly and so easy to navigate around the site.

Website seems decent enough. Can't read the menu properly because the background is transparent but isn't a major problem. Site doesn't lag at all and you seem to have all the information needed to make an informed decision.

I have taken a look at Dave’s doors and website as I have been looking to purchase a door for my new property. Some websites have been so difficult to use when looking for composite doors but I have found this one clear and easy to navigate! Thank you

The door looks great not the cheapest on the market but well worth the money the fitters from Apollo Daybrook Arnold were great

I bought this some time ago and it’s doing well. It looks very good and, thanks to the skill of the carpenter I used, it hangs well too. My only concern was the glass insert as, although I was informed this could be changed on the Chat, it proved very challenging for my carpenter who really struggled to remove it so he could insert one I wanted. But he did it and it looks fine.
