What outstanding service .
Our enquiry for work was submitted at 8:30 am
We had a response by 9:30 am and the workers were at our house 10:30.
The workers were very professional . They explained what was needed and their workmanship was excellent.

Door broke on Thursday night. Booked in an 8 till 1 slot for Friday. Nobody turned up. I phoned for half an hour and nobody answered. Eventually someone called to tell me someone was on their way. Got an automated call a short time later saying they can't come because they were too busy and they would come tomorrow. Fair enough, things happen. Waited again. Another automated call...eventually. Can't come, too busy. Will come on Monday. Waited again. Another automated call... Can't come, too busy will come on Tuesday. On and on. Thursday, eventually got a human call me to tell me someone would be there within the hour....I'm at work! Irrelevant anyway. I told the woman it didn't matter anymore as I had already got another company who turned up straight away and fixed the problem. Her: "I'll cancel it then" click. Hung up! Terrible service. Don't bother. Use a proper local service, not this national company.

Good service - they offered to come out same day - BUT prices are crazy! I was quoted £300 to replace broken cable on one side of the door. Its a 20 minute job max and parts could be no more than £30! They rely on the fact that once you have the guys onsite that you will go ahead and get the work done at any price. Be ready to negotiate or get another quote before starting any work. Also - they use subcontractors - the two guys that came to me were fine - but may not always be the case.

Garage door cable came off and needed a replacement so phoned Dawes doors and in fairness a guy came out same day - however! I was at work and parents in law were in house. Guy arrived and said it would be an easy fix and take him 15 mins, then office phoned and said it would be £350 fix. So having not been born yesterday, they refused that and the guy tried to charge them £50 call out. Website says £29 which I had told them about - worker phoned office on loud speaker and person on phone said how much are they willing to pay! So they paid £30 to send him on his way. Absolutely disgusting trying to charge £350 for a 15 minute job and a couple of cables. Fear they were trying to take advantage of elderly parents in law. Disgrace of a company, please avoid if you read this they shouldn’t be in operation.

Feel totally ripped off. Garage door broke on Monday, googled for repair company and Dawes doors came up. Booked online for next day, engineer turned up, stayed a whole 10 minutes after replacing one cable. No quote from him, office called to say £300 and that was with 10% discount for being an OAP. Have since looked up spare parts and found cable for £15. All l can say I’d Duck Turpin wore a mask. Do your research, just tried to get a quote over the phone but they cant till engineer has been out to assess it. Ridiculously over priced for one cable that took 10 mins to fit. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE

Book Online 24/7. Schedule your "Free Survey & Quote Now". I did and on the day of appointment got a call to say £48.95 for the call out. The page does state in a different section: "Fixed Priced Survey and Service call £48.95" I think deliberately misleading. Sadly didn't get anything for my money other than £350 quote to fit a £30 part. Seems expensive but who know these days. To be fair the engineer was a nice and amicable person.

On time, well first thing next morning, pleasant, informative, cost as per basic quote, altogether satisfactory.
