Tenants had brand-new carpet, mattresses, newly painted property after three years was handed back with the mattresses heavily stained the property heavily scuffed and the carpet extremely dirty. The property was handed over to the tenant in pristine condition and was handed over dirty. Both The bathroom sink hole and kitchen sink holes were blocked and we had to get plumbers in to unblock them with waste and Hair it cost over £300. Everything was evidenced in invoices, and inventory and what were we able to get back from the tenants via the DPS? It was zero.
What is the point of having someone like this? When the evidence provided is not enough, invoices from professionals attending the property saying it’s dirty with a full inventory and plumbers saying that the sinks are blocked but that apparently is not enough evidence and you can’t even challenge them. Disgusting and shocking behaviour.

I thought I had a complex case of a lost deposit but after vigorous security checks it seemed I had inadvertently opened 2 accounts and just needed a change of password. Really great 1st experience as a tenant. My landlord saod he had completed my return his end and was waiting for me to accept however I wasnt recieving the emails - called and within 4mins realised my email address was incorrect on their system, changed and new email sent within seconds. All sorted and off the phone - fast and friendly service from Michelle.
Very slow to release the deposit
Very slow to release the deposit. It is hard to tell who is at fault, the letting agent or the deposit protection service.
Two months after my son died I still don’t have the deposit back. We cleared the flat and handed keys back within 2 weeks and according to the tenancy agreement we should have had the deposit returned within 10 days. We are now on day 40 and still no money back.

I was not able to print it off with all the details!
I do hope that the form that is sent to me by post has a prepaid envelope inside.
Myself and the tenant have tried to change the tenants email address, no luck on this matter!!
If for example you copy an email address from the mailbox the paste it’s missing a letter which makes the email address invalid.
