do not order Lux Chiffon fabric
Ordered a bridesmaid dress with lux chiffon fabric. Although it fit fairly well and looked great - the fabric was terrible! It left oil stains very easily just from touching it!!!!! By the end of the night there were countless spots. It made me subconscious all night because it made me look like a slob! Plus when we teared up the dance floor I sweat though the dress which also left oil marks. All the other bridesmaids ordered the same fabric and the same thing occured. Moral of this story - do not order lux chiffon. Spent way too much money to feel like crap all night!
Horrible quality, size, and customer service
Brides, please do not use Dessy! I'm a bridesmaid and the bride chose Dessy custom dresses for us and had us order online. Several of the bridesmaids' dresses came in several sizes too big (even though they are "custom order" and you submit measurements when ordering). Mine came in about 4-5 sizes too big and was literally falling off of me. I even had measurements made by a professional and spoke with a Dessy representative to confirm my size prior to ordering. I've spent well over $100 in alterations to try to get it to fit at all. Dessy refuses to return or exchange custom dresses, and when I told them what I had to spend in alterations to fix the dress, their response was that they couldn't help me at all because the dress had been altered. What else was I supposed to do? I couldn't return it, exchange it, and I definitely couldn't wear it unaltered. Also the dress itself feels extremely cheap and low quality.
This was a very disappointing experience and it was unexpected. I was in a wedding just a few months ago and the bride got Dessy bridesmaid dresses through a bridal salon. That Dessy dress only needed minor alterations and was much better quality.
Quality does not match price
I would not recommend Dessy for bridesmaid dresses. As a bridesmaid I ordered a dress from Dessy. The dress was not inexpensive, but you would not know it from the quality I received. This was consistent with all of the bridesmaids. First, it took more than 10 weeks to receive the dress. At first, this did not bother me as that it typical with some bridesmaid dress manufacturers. Upon receiving the dress and further contemplation, this time frame did not make sense. I ordered a generic size 6, not custom measurements, and the dress is very low quality. For the price I paid, the dress was not worth it. The dress help up fine, but the material felt cheap. Finally, the dress I purchased was a light blush color. For some unknown reason, the manufacturer included white cups in the top that could be seen from the outside due to the shear nature of the outermost layer of fabric. The cups were easily removed, but I do not know why they would have even been included in the first place given how easily the cups could be seen from the outside.
Poor customer service
Think twice if you want excellent customer service. I paid rush delivery and the dress arrived sewn incorrectly. It was as if Dessy had sewn a label into the bust of the dress, which resulted in a square looking bosom. When I contacted them, they offered to repair the dress - not even send a new one. I'm extremely disappointed that I paid full price for a repaired dress.. Not to mention that I had to send it back with the wedding less than a month away. When I tried to ask for a new dress or discount from the original rate, they ignored the request several times. Will recommend to future brides not to use.
maybe use another company
I was a bridesmaid at a wedding a few months ago. All the girls picked their dresses from the Dessy Collection at dressy.com, and ordered through our local botique. They were beautiful, but incredibly cheap. I paid over $230 for mine which was entirely polyester and snagged on everything, causing little tears and pulls in the paper thin fabric. All of our dresses arrived with discoloration, but it was too late to do anything about it. One girl received the wrong color dress. Instead of the paler blue she ordered, she got a dark navy dress. There was no way she could've gotten another in time for the wedding. I placed my order October 26 and the dress did not come until the end of December. I would recommend you use another company for the defects and lack of quality in the garments. I used this company another time for a different event and everything was much smoother, I don't know if it was because we ordered online and not through a boutique.

If someone asked me about my experience with the Dessy group I would tell them to seriously reconsider their options. My 7 bridesmaids decided to use Dessy for the ease of finding a different style they liked and ensuring they were all the same colour, which is a very handy feature - if you get the actual dress you order.
Several different stores were visited and not only were staff rude but they were told to order dresses several sizes bigger so they would fit - one would assume the store lady would have the best knowledge about sizing so they were ordered. Luckily the returns policy is quite inflexible.
Another bridesmaid tried on and ordered the correct size dress, the tag read the correct size dress, but the one which turned up was measured and ended up being the larger size - despite the correct tag?? I now have 3 bridesmaids with dresses that don't fit, that won't be refunded and now must foot the large bill to have them altered so they even resemble a bridesmaid dress.
Another ordered a dress through a different store and - you guessed it - it arrived far too big! She has now paid to have it altered which cost nearly as much as the dress.
Ladies if you use this site PLEASE, PLEASE be careful, particularly with sizing. The online measurements are inaccurate and the ladies in the store aren't always the best person for advice. Make sure you read the returns policy because it will likely be the fault of the customer for whatever reason, even if Dessy sizing is misleading and Dessy employees give incorrect information.
So when someone inevitably responds to my review below I will be more than happy to provide you with order details, store name and location and the name of the lady I had dealt with. I have also sent in a complaint through the Dessy site.
I am absolutely shattered about the experience with Dessy and wish I had never dealt with them in the first place. What a way to start planning for our wedding
.....Response to Dessy reply below - No, she has not lost weight. She ordered a 10 and a dress with a size 10 tag arrived but once the dress was measured we realised it was actually a size 12, Apparently it is our fault that we ordered the correct size but the incorrect dress arrived - go figure. Oh and it gets better - NO REFUND!
I attempted to call the lady in the store and she was incredibly rude, and basically said she wasn't going to explain anything to me - too many people were involved. I had called to ask a question about the dress and colour options and that's the response I got - Really??
As for the other stores - yes the dresses were ordered to spec, the issue is the advice from the store lady, she tried to tell one of my bridesmaids (who is usually a size 12) that she should order a size 22 because she is pregnant. I appreciate you reaching out to the stores in question however perhaps a response directly to me would also be appropriate. My opinion of Dessy has not changed, in fact it is unfortunately more negative due to the conduct of one particular store lady. Between my bridesmaids there would have been over $2,000 spent on dresses and we are yet to find out how much in alterations. I will NEVER deal with the company again, and I actively encourage others to warn other brides about doing so.

Easy purchase, but some hiccups
Finding the dress was easy, but the dresses run 2 sizes smaller than their chart states. Also they give you a coupon, but it rarely pops up to be used. Also, the hems all need to be fixed because they are all not cut even or to the length described. you can clearly see they were not cut even or were done in a rush.

Bad Shoe Design
I bought these shoes for my wedding day and was really excited to have cute, flats in the color I wanted. I read a lot of reviews on the shoe size being small, so I ordered a size 10, which is up from my usual 9 1/2 shoe size. I wore the shoes on my wedding day and they completely bruising both of my big toenails. My feet hurt so bad after the entire day in these shoes that I might as well of worn heels. It's been two months since the wedding and my toenails are still badly bruised.
In my experience these shoes were highly uncomfortable and for the price you pay Dessy should offer half sizes and a better exchange policy

The quality of the dress I ordered is atrocious and it is in now way clear that there cannot be returns or exchanged made on "hand cut dresses" whatever that means. My advice find is to find somewhere else to waste your money.
Zipper broke first wear.
Zipper broke first time wearing it. Very temperamental. Other bridesmaids dresses had poor quality zippers as well.

They have been amazing.
I used a stylist and she was great. The service was great, everything showed up on time. I loved the garment bag and tote bag. So organized and polished.
Poor Quality Shoes
I've never worn shoes less comfortable than these ballet flats. I would have returned them except I had to wear them as a bridesmaid. The shoes feel like they are made of cardboard, pinched toes, but were too wide. I normally wear 8 or 8w, and purchased an 8. They looked like children's shoes with the extremely rounded toes, and were wide on the sides- there was visible space between the sides of my feet and these shoes. There is zero support in these shoes. I took these off the second I could (post pictures). I was not the only one who felt this way - everyone changed out of these flats into different flats or other shoes. i would not recommend these for anyone.
The only positive I can say is that the shoes came with a protective cloth bag with handles which was very nice. The company itself was very good to purchase through.

Maid of Honor Dress
When I initially tried on the dress the first time once it arrived the zipper did not zip up it was stuck in the middle of the seam. I informed Dessy and they said it was there defect and would fix it 2 days which they did.
The customer service end was fantastic but over all the dress is not work $230 the material to me is cheaper fabric. I also had to get it taken in which cost me another $95 so to me the dress and sizes do not match well.
I appreciate how attentive the staff were with my complaint on the zipper so thank you.

Rip off
I measured myself on day of purchase and bought he size according to my measurements and according to the sizing chart. When I received the dress in the mail, was a good 2 sizes larger than what the measurements said in the size charge. I now have to make alterations. Speaking to the 4 other brides maids in the party, all said that their dresses were significantly larger than what they expected according to the size chart. Also I ordered a swatch prior to dress purchase and the swatch I received and the dress I received (which were supposed to be of the same material) were not the same exact material.
Never will buy from this site again. And 5 of us now need alterations.

Great dress! Sizing was the challenge.
Beautiful dress and I loved the style, but it was a pain to fit though. Online measurement numbers were not that helpful. I am 5'6", 132 pounds and measured as best I could. Not all areas will fit perfectly so be prepared to have it tailored if you'd like it to fit well in all areas. The other bridesmaids struggled with this as well.
Just what I needed
I had spent months looking for a bridesmaid dress for a friend's wedding, I am a larger woman and so a lot of dresses from retailers you might go to first for wedding shopping all size down their dresses so a size that might normally fit me was suddenly too small, and with a larger bust even sizes that might have fit were a no go. So I was desperate when I found Dessy, their convertible dress seemed exactly what I needed and so I checked with my bride and made an order. The dress arrived after just a few days, unlike many other retailers with a wait time of several months for a dress, I was so worried about the shipping I even contacted Dessy Customer Service on a Saturday to see about expediting the shipping, I was replied to within an hour and after a little back and forth was told my dress had shipped despite the holiday weekend and it should arrive by the end of the week. It was such a huge relief to both find a dress I needed and to know I would have it in time for the wedding. The dress fit just right at the wedding as well, the convertible nature meant I was just as covered up as I'd like to be, and yet it still fit me bust and all. I was extremely pleased with my experience and I have already been telling everyone where I got my dress and how good my experience was.
Company Policies
The return policy and shipping costs of your company are extremely unethical. Its obvious you mark up the prices on things are refuse to take things back because people need your items for weddings. You don't care at all about your customers, and I'm sure your products are made in factories overseas where labor laws are nonexistent. I won't be recommending your company to friends.
