I think given the crisis going on, you shouldn't mislead people. I just read the fine print that after a month it goes back up to regular price. I was willing to pay the $8.00 but $16.00 is steep especially with so much more going on. My husband is an essential worker and I am currently out of a job. The website looks promising, but the price point is high.

Wonderful resource, kids love it and actually request to play on it. I've seen the most recent reviews being negative and it could be that they changed things but I didn't have those issues when I first did a trial. We used the free resources on education.com (of which there are many) did a trial and resumed free for months before actually upgrading. We've had a full account for a couple years I think so when I did the trial and cancelled it we had no issue. Looking at the most recent reviews that fluidity might have changed.

It helped motivate my kids and they actually enjoy it so we paid for a lifetime subscription. With 3 kids we've more than gotten our money's worth out of it. They also seem to add new material often which is nice.

They have lesson plans for independent study, lots of games, lots of worksheets, craft activities and specialized packets to help kids who struggle in certain areas. Unlike other sites they also track and show you their progress as well as suggest materials to help kids in the areas they are struggling.

Even my preschooler likes it for all the books they read to you and educational song videos. The best part is there are no ads and nothing disguised as kid friendly like on youtube.

It is just for kids PreK to 5th but honestly some of the upper level 5th grade stuff could easily be for an older student.

Fraudulent charges to credit card.

I don't usually write reviews but this is a warning about Education.com.
They charged my credit card for a full 12 month subscription 7 months after it was cancelled. When questioned about the charge they told me it was linked to an email address that was not mine. After chasing them for 2 weeks they finally refunded me a USD amount that was less than what was charged to my Australian credit card.
They have told me that they cannot make up the difference leaving me to incur a cost for their fraudulent charge.

As per Education.com's response below, I have now been told that I will receive a second refund to make up the difference. I have NOT received it as yet however.

I sent multiple emails asking for the difference to be made up and was continually told there was nothing they could do because it was an exchange rate issue.
They fraudulently took money from my credit card and were happy for me to pay $20 for their error - that speaks volumes!

They also deflect blame and tell me that my email has been hacked despite me telling them that the charge taken is linked to email address (which they provided to me - breach of confidentiality and personal data right there!) that isn't mine.
No responsibility has been taken for the fraudulent charge - but there you have it.
I still say: BUYER BEWARE!

I signed up for the $9.99 trial the other day for my son and you guys ended up charging me $59.99 I've been trying to get ahold of this company for over 3 days now. It seems like customer service doesnt care and is trying to keep my money. I need my money back on my card. It would be easier if you guys had a customer service phone number I couldve been had this resolved. I wrote you guys about 3 complaints on your website and it says it has been reviewed and a customer service agent is looking over it but I still havent heard back about my refund. I am not happy at all and just want my money back and won't continue using this site as I can't get a response back when I need it.

Terrible !!! I feel like I was scammed! First, I signed up, so they asked for a card. The second time I signed up, I couldn’t, they again asked for the card number in order for me to open my account. So, they were charging me 2x Every month. I wasn’t able to notice it bec. It was hard for me to track my accounts bec of my hectic schedule. When i closed my account with them, they were still charging me 2x. It’s crazy ! I will definitely report them to BBB. Please don’t fall for this site !! They are terrible !! There is no customer support at all !!!!!

I wish I could give this company a 0 it stated that the charge would not be charged at this time & it charged me $59 the same day they have no contact number which is odd being they are a “EDUCATIONAL” website I’ve emailed 2 times no response at all I do not want the subscription and trying to get in contact with a customer service rep is like pulling teeth it is really ridiculous.

We're assuming our account was hacked. We have contacted them though email several times and they have sent email back but none of them were of any help. Our last contact with customer service we spelled everything out for them and sent attachments of our receipt of out lifetime membership and nothing back. This is absolutely ridiculous!! Would never have signed up for an account if I would have known how terrible the customer service iwas and no phone number who doesn't have a phone number.

if I could give it a 1 star I would took 60 bucks out of my account and that was not what I was signing up for super mad then no one to call and talk to about my issue no email back is this a damn scam that was the only money I had in my account for now and no call back nothing!!!!

I don't like education.com because most of the time it is WRONG about a lot of things mt mom is a 9th grade English teacher and she says that it is not right and I am in 5th grade and I say that is WRONG as well. I will never get on education.com again.

You sign up for. Free account that they confirm then charge you 15.99 every month. They will steal your money say they will look into it and never do. Do not give them any credit card information because you will have to go through the ordeal of cancelling the card.

Worksheets are held to a maximum... I think per week or month. It's very limiting as a free online resource for learning, but I've had decent luck acquiring about 4-6 worksheets a month for my kiddos. There are lesson plans that help A LOT. If you're struggling with one particular topic you'll be able to get through a little more than half of a lesson plan. Only thing is that it'll be one per month or so.
Again, limited is the key word, but very helpful.

I am annoyed.... If you're looking for a handout, while putting in nothing for exchange, then good luck. There are many reviews railing this site because it's not free. Guess what... public school isn't free! Teachers are paid with taxes, so it's coming out of the community's paycheck. Teachers develop lesson plans, activities, and tests... AND they're paid. This is an online resource for parents/teachers, but what makes people think this is supposed to be completely free?

If you want free learning resources speak more with your child's teacher. If you want free learning resources from the internet, think twice. In order to maintain a website it costs money. Developing lesson plans and quizzes/tests.. learning tools... VIDEO games for learning... it takes time and money. If there's a better/cheaper online resource I'd like to know about it. It's ridiculous and immoral to think a service, or good, should be provided for free at the expense of someone else.

I am a n Instructor at a proprietary school which I teach early childhood education to adult students and I use this site to teach them. I have been using this site almost two years and I love this site and my students are able to student teach from this site as a teacher practicum. I love their interactive games. Yes, I private pay and I do have them auto pay. It’s a good online site!

Pay for the lifetime subscription!!! It’s worth it!

Did not sign up for a subscription yet have been charged close to $300!!! Not happy.

We use Education.com to supplement our homeschool curriculum and couldn’t be happier with the organization, engagement, tracking, etc.

Before we started homeschooling, a friend recommended Education.com, just for the worksheets alone, to help supplement schoolwork at home. Once we jumped into homeschooling, I remembered the site (I'd had many recommendations), and was really pleased with the content. Thousands of worksheets were available to us, and the Guided Lessons came in so handy when our printer went out for a bit! At the time, I had a 10-year-old going in to 5th grade, and a four-year-old who was ready for the kindergarten-level curriculum. We have branched out a bit since then, utilizing many different sites and sources, but Education.com is kind of our backbone (not so much for our older child, as he's outgrown most of the lessons). There is so much to love: the online books in different reading levels, all the worksheets I could ever hope for, and I especially appreciate the new Assessments, just so I can ballpark where my child is, and in which areas she needs more work. The cute characters and animation are all fun and inviting, and keep my kids' attention. I've recommended this to any other parent looking for homeschool resources, and even to parents of public school children, who want to do a little extra at home. We will always be big fans!

At my regular school, the teachers go to fast and don't let you have time to review the work. But Sylvan will take time out of their day to help you understand whatever skill your working on.

I would like to join as a Premium Member but do not want to authorize auto renewal. This is my third request with no answer.
I want to join but have read quite a few complaints about the company's auto renewal policy. They complain that Education.com deducts the annual membership from their bank account without notice. I have requested to join without authorizing auto renewal but they continue to ignore my requests.
It's a shame because I hear it's a great program.
