Saw the Castle at it’s best
Very helpful and welcoming volunteer in the shop who provided a lot of local information. Castle was well presented as grass had just been cut. I do think that the fact that Richard III was brought up here, more could have been made of the connection.

My husband and myself are new members to English Heritage so we decided to visit Bolsover Castle in Derbyshire recently. We had a lovely few hours exploring the castle and grounds lovely views across the fields and landscapes near Chesterfield. Very interesting to find out who the castle belonged to and it's adaptation over the years. We finished our visit off with coffee and cake in the onsight cafe and treated ourselves to a purchase from the gift shop. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable on our entrance and very friendly on our departure. Will definately return again with family members on our next visit.

The attraction is good
The attraction is good, staff all engaging and helpful. The audio guide and optional guided tours a great addition.
The cafe was disappointing with limited stock on lines and slow service, it was Sunday afternoon but not too busy.

Look for the Live Chat
I'm not entirely happy with the EH website, because I couldn't update my address on it. However, Vailan on the Live Chat was helpful and has made the change.
On the National Trust website it was very easy to change my address!
