I rang with an enquiry about a.cottage booking on the number provided and was initially advised I could not speak to the booking team I would have to email and ask them to ring me.
I then rang the same number again on the off chance and thankfully got to speak to Rhiannon who was brilliant sorted everything couldn’t have been more helpful and immediately provided email confirmation. A real asset to your team. Thank you so much Rhiannon!

No stars really. Shockingly bad systems if you’re trying to update your online account. Impossible to contact a human. All I want to do is update personal info and try to stop them grabbing extra money for annual membership when I have been a senior for several years so membership should be cheaper and I am unable to amend this.

Great customer service via the online chat with Andy at English Heritage about when we can expect to receive our membership pack. We enjoyed our visit but the majority of the castle was closed for refurbishment!
The gardens were a surprise - very good. Also liked the garden cafe.

No card issued on renewel
For the second year running no physical membership card has been issued following renewal. Either there is some thing wrong or something I don't know. I'd rather not spend time chasing a card that should have already been issued.

My mum purchased a gift membership for…
My mum purchased a gift membership for me on 3rd September 26. I received my temporary card in my spam, after I had to refill out all the information to activate the membership. My temporary card is due to run out on Oct 3rd, and I have yet to receive my permanent card. My parents also brought their membership on the same day but they received their cards in time for the holiday we needed them for, whereas I have not. Despite being told in the email I needed to present a photo ID with the temporary card, the staff at each site seemed indifferent to me doing so, in fact they were very unhelpful at every place we visited. I have emailed customer service about this a few days ago and I've yet to receive a reply.

You can use the membership in the meantime with the email and your ID and our staff should not be questioning this. It was an amazing place.
It was an amazing place once we managed the narrow lanes to get there. The young ladies in the reception we lovely. We had the free talk machine following the numbers round till we had seen it all. Great.

Hidden Gem
Great to find this hidden gem in the centre of the tourist melee. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The display was informative and well presented.
A delicious cream tea was a bonus in their little cafe.
We were guided on how to find the Pyx Chapel round the corner (also in the care of English Heritage), which was fascinating, tucked inside the Westminster Abbey complex.
