I posed a question regarding my membership fee which is currently £84.00 a year and I've recently had a 65th birthday and queried the cost as I should of thought it would have automatically changed to £72.00 now I'm a pensioner, then today the friendly customer services team got back to me with great news that I will be charged £72.00 for the next years membership so many thanks indeed.

Slow to respond which is unhelpful if disabled.
Signed up for a year and got my Welcome email on the 15/8. Requested a "Letter of Authority" for a companion on the 2nd September as I am disabled. Got an automatic response but nothing since. Four weeks wasted. My conditions are so unpredictable a Letter of Authority seemed a great option. If only English Heritage took the time to respond to their emails.

A really memorable visit to Stonehenge
We've visited Stonehenge many times over the years usually on route to holiday destinations in Cornwall. Now we live so close to this historic monument we are intending to go more often and take our friends. It was a beautiful sunny day last Sunday and we decided to go on the spur of the moment. And we weren't disappointed! Aside from Stonehenge itself which we both find fascinating and atmospheric the views from Sailsbury plain were fantastic we could see for miles right out to the horizon. Simply wonderful
All of the staff we met were welcoming and ready to answer any questions we had about this iconic and historic site. Highly recommend stripthere especially on a sunny day with clear skies - even in late Autumn. Mike and I had a great afternoon visit.

Well worth stopping and taking some time to look round, especially the views from the top - although take care the steps up are uneven and tricky

Autumn Fair was disappointing but Eltham Palace is a favourite to visit and on a lovely September day it was excellent.

Canceled plans
Unfortunately we could not tour Dover Castle due to political unrest onshore. Aniezka was very helpful in canceling our tickets and refunding our money.
