Freedom Destinations Reviews 

We decided to do a road trip in Canada and submitted an enquiry to Freedom destinations. We received an intinerary the next day which we were able to discuss with the agent and amend it to our particular wishes. The booking process was uncomplicated and we received advice and support when needed.
Once we arrived in Canada, everything just worked! All hotels, car hire and activities were trouble free and stressless! I would highly recommend Freedom Destinations and would certainly utilise their services again in the future.

Maritha our travel consultant was really friendly and listened to our requirements. She came back to us quickly with the holiday that ticked all the boxes and answered all our questions.

Booking was so easy, Vicki was amazing, pricing different dates and plane seats. Holiday not till 2028 so here's hoping all goes as well by the time our holiday comes.

I am at a loss to know what this company actually does to earn its commissions.
Before departure I had to request corrections to information at least six times (more than once on the same document).
The second part of the holiday was booked (and sold on phone) as a garden room in Zanzibar. It was described in confirmation that way at least four times. It was not. It was a garden view room on first floor at back of car park. I paid for upgrade but the supplier and company have passed the buck between them. FD claim it was not misdocumented or mis-sold, then ignore copy of confirmation.
Fortunately the FCDO changed travel advice the day of my departure. Everyone else booked by at least three other travel agencies were advised to change routing to avoid Middle East so that travel insurance was not invalidated. At no time did FD suggest that was the problem. Had I booked directly I would have confirmed situation myself - I thought I was using a professional organisation.
Despite checking FD gave wrong information re luggage checking for return flights.
Although I enjoyed the holiday that was not as a result of the company. When highlighting problems with FD staff it ignores any mention of its own failings. It did refund £30 as Ranger Safaris were not there to meet inbound flight. Local staff actually sorted that quickly and that company could not be faulted for what it provided. Would book another safari with them directly in a heartbeat.
I agree with other reviewers that FD are of no use if difficulty arises.
For comparison one couple sharing safari experience had booked through Trailfinders. Unlike FD it described accommodation used as mid-range and had advised and supported through Middle East impact.
Given continuing uncertainty I would certainly not choose FD again.
Despite response below and as above: Errors ignored, mis selling/misdocumentation denied ,mis information and no updates given.

I am a regular user of Freedom for holidays in Africa and Asia.
The itineraries are swiftly put together with costings within a couple of days.
With Freedom you can totally relax and enjoy your adventure safe in the knowledge that when you arrive at the airport or any internal transfers that may be needed everything runs like clockwork.
In all our trips we have never had to negotiate even the slightest hiccup.
The staff are very knowledgeable and their advice is sound.
I wouldn’t use anyone else!!

Listened to what we wanted, provided options within our price range, and used experienced, knowledgeable local guides.

I had previously booked a holiday with this company and I felt assured I would have another great experience. This unfortunately was not the case, my "expert" had been in New Zealand once. I asked if my proposed cost could be broken down, to see where costs could be saved, and I was informed that this could not be done until after I had paid a deposit. I got another adviser when the "expert" was on day off. The service was great with new worker, Nancy. Various options were explored and considered. New itinerary sent (again fully broken down, car hire type, excess, hotel description, etc). Booked at this point. 8 days later my "expert " tells me 3 out of 7 of my hotels are no longer available and offered me alternative suggestions (backpack hostel included) when I had agreed 4 star hotels. Wholly disappointed! Higher management need to address these issues for other potential customers.

Megan at Freedom Destinations was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She found us our perfect holiday to New Zealand with no fuss at all. She was friendly, professional, and clearly an expert on the destination.

What really stood out was how well she listened to exactly what both my daughter and I wanted from our holiday. She took everything on board and came back with an amazing itinerary that ticked every box, all at a great price.

The whole booking process was easy and stress-free, and we felt confident we were in safe hands throughout. We can't wait for our trip and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Megan and Freedom Destinations to anyone looking for a tailor-made holiday.
