Order not received and a month later I still haven't had a refund
I placed an order with George Asda on 3rd June, it is still showing as on its way on my account, I raised this with George via messenger who told me my order was lost in transit and was promised a refund within 48 hours. 19 days later and they are telling me that It has to be investigated as a return hasn't been started!! Not happy 🤬 in the meantime I am £138 out of pocket and my credit card needs paying!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I spent £80 on a microwave that arrived faulty. After several attempts at collection they still haven’t collected my item or refunded it stating “customer cancelled collection”, when I 100% didn’t. I booked the day off of work twice to be there for the delivery driver just to be told that I had apparently cancelled it. The call center are absolutely useless and unhelpful with one guy hanging up the phone after a 40 minute wait for their help. I’m still waiting after more than 2 weeks for them to come and collect the item, god knows how long it will be before I get my refund. Beware that you cannot return your item in-store as george online works totally separately. I am shocked at the poor customer service from George at Asda, I will never ever order from them again - this has been the most stressful online ordering experience I have ever had. Word of advice - NEVER EVER order from George online unless you want to get robbed of precious time and money!

It's one of the worst shopping experience i ever had here is why, I ordered normal i used asda gift card to pay i received earlier text to collect my parcel until now everything fine now the bad start they send me absolutely different item than i ordered when i called them about that & I returned it they say i must wait for 14 days to get my refund then i need to reorder my items again i explained that it was there mistake the customer service representative answered that is there way to process the refund, I felt like I was begging them. why i have to wait for 14 working days when it was there mistake why I have to pay from my own time for there stupid mistake, why the don't have any respect for there customers.
Terrible telephone customer service
I went to my local Asda store this morning to collect an online George order for 1 out of 3 of my parcels (3 to collect) to have not even arrived, another item in 1 of the parcels I did receive missing/ items not packaged we at all either. The store couldn’t do anything so told me to call George.com’s phone number. I called and got through to someone who apparently wasn’t the online George department despite correct option then got transferred through to apparently the correct department for my call to be answered and no one there on the end of the line, pure silent line/ headset muted, I kept saying ‘hello’ then had to hang up, nearly 40 minutes wasted. I called back again and spoke to someone after another wait and she only issued me a refund for the missing item, not the item that hasn’t arrived and told me to wait more days (when it should have been delivered yesterday 27th June, with my other 2 packages) she put me on hold when trying to issue my refund for another 10 minutes; apparently due to a ‘technical issue’ issuing and processing my refund. Terrible customer service no wonder the rating on here. I’ve placed many orders with George.com and not had many issues but don’t think I’ll be ordering again anytime soon, rude, unfriendly staff just like in you’re Asda stores too!!

Very long story, currently on the Tuesday 16th June called, operator very unhelpful. Spoke with a supervisor told they would email me within 24/48 hrs. Gave them till Friday 19th June nothing, called again, operator came across helpful promise to resolve, allocated contact to them over a week later nothing.
George have returned products and my cash. The impact on my family time is unfair. I'm not on social media, I've called twice, I'll now be writing to complain as no complaints email address and I will be contacting my credit card company to see if they can recall any of the original payment.

Collected an order from Asda petrol station no where did it say if collecting from this location you cannot return to it.
Jacket does not fit and they won’t accept return at the petrol station this was not stated when ordering. Out of pocket by £16 as cannot get to a big Asda store which is an hour away on the bus.
Spoke to Facebook team who won’t help and said it’s return to big store or nothing you’ve lost a loyal customer who has spent thousands over the years.

Im not suprised to see that George has a 1 star review, is there was an option for less I would put that. My recent experience was not great and seems very similar to the rest of the reviews I ordered items online, got into store, used the machine to say I was ready to collect. After timing the wait for 7 minutes I left to go find some help, at the asda counter they called someone else over who then was confusing matters over the order as he thought I had a food delivery, so this took up more time before establishing that we were I the wrong place to which he then said I need to go wait by the machine (which i just came from) I finally got the items after being in the store for over 10 minutes not convenient at all!! Only to hear the staff saying it was all my fault because I didnt say it was 'George'
One of the items was the wrong size so had to return it. This was no easier or any better of an experience either. Got rhere not knowing how the machine worked, called for a staff member who when came over decided to help the person after me first?? Then as she was going through the process spoke down to me. This made me to feel stupid and embarrassed. Its safe to say a lot of people have experience the same and something needs to be done. I will not be using this service again

Absolutely poor service shame on you Asda as you are such a large company, this will be the second time I’ve ordered clothes from George and they have not arrived by date stated or not at all. I would advise anyone not to order from George as they do not provide a very good service and I will never ever use their Home delivery service again.
Don’t order online
Parcel not delivered on time which I understand can happen. What is infuriating is the lack of contact from Asda regarding the lack of progress on my delivery.
6 phone calls and still no refund. Ended up going into store and buying the item off the shelf.
Constantly lied to on the phone and one lady actually hung up on me after leaving me on hold for ages. I hope the management listen back to these calls as the empty apologies mean nothing when I’m still waiting for £168 refund after 2 weeks

Ive never received such poor service especially from a large company. Ordered an aircon unit 25th April with latest delivery 2nd June. Never arrived called up & advised would receive it within 24-48 hours. Never came. Called up after 3 days. Advised may be lost wait 48 hours. Never came. Called up advised would be refunded in 5-7 days. Nope. Same again. Called up & advised it hadnt been passed to the relevant people. Its now 23rd of June im awaiting a manager calling me back & i have to wait 24 hours for the team to process the refund & 3-5 working days after that to hit my account. I doubt it will & i imagine it will be another phone call. I dont leave negative reviews but if you’re thinking of ordering from George online dont!

When placing an order, we are required to pick a delivery date. As such, it is much worse when over a wk later there is no delivery, no update and no opportunity to cancel the order. It seems we are to wait 14-day before contacting Asda for a refund - which I hope will be straightforward?
I had previously ordered the same item and the click & collect delivery was spot on. This time it was entirely different.
I cannot in future order from Asda George as I see what it's like when it doesn't work out. At least with Amazon, there would be contact and they would act as an intermediary. With this, I am stuck, with money taken off my c/card, and are left waiting until 14-days is passed in order to do anything.

I’m not leaving this review because of an £18 refund—I’m leaving it because it has been impossible to get any help.
I collected a George Click & Collect order in May, but the order never updated to show as “Collected”, meaning I couldn’t process a return online. I called customer services and was told to take the items back to the store instead. I did exactly that, and the colleague accepted the two pairs of trousers and assured me everything would be sorted.
Several weeks later, my online account still says “Collect now”, there is no record of the return, and I still haven’t received my £18 refund.
Trying to get this resolved has been incredibly frustrating. The online chat simply tells me to call customer services. Customer services tell me to go to the store. The store took the items but nothing happened. There is no customer service email address, and messages on social media are blocked.
I’ve gone round in circles trying to resolve a simple issue and have been left out of pocket. George really needs to make it easier for customers to speak to someone who can actually investigate problems instead of sending them from one place to another.

Was ment to get a delivery for the school uniform as it’s 20% off but they use a courier who are notorious for not delivering directly to the customer they leave it unattended (dpd) …so like my parcel was apparently delivered but I never recieved it I live in a block of flats with a young child so mind you I went to ground floor no parcel.. took 2 days to call customer service to be told u have to wait 24/48 hours for a response from couriers…
These people have no sense the whole point of me ordering when I did was so school uniform didn’t cost me a fortune… so now by the time I should get a refund if I ever do the bloody offer will be finished…
They had to cheek to say we can see costumer not in delivery photo but still wanting to long out the situation with rectifying to paying customer their refund like being asked the evidence is in the delivery photo for god sake ……

Further to my previous review, I have now had a refund and an e-voucher after not getting what I ordered. That might sound good to you, but since I stated a number of times that I DON'T want an e-voucher, as I could only use this by using their rubbish delivery system again, this is not good customer service. They have also made this decision without discussing my wishes with me. I phoned up a number of times and emailed to state I didn't want and e-voucher. My opinions obviously don't matter to them. Do George at Asda really care about what their customers think. The evidence so far suggests that the answer is a big NO!
George at Asda online order missing - 5 days and order not received
Ordered Wahl Cordless Colour Pro via their website on 11th June for pickup at my local Asda. After receiving an email saying the product was ready for collection (11th June), when I got to my ASDA collection store of choice, I was told it hadn't been received. Clicking Track Your Order on the George website today (16th June) the live tracking states On The Way.
I believe it would have been better paying a bit more and getting it direct from Amazon in a day or two (and saving hours of my time)
