When you have a policy with Go Skippy any claims will be handled by a company called Somerset Bridge.
They are utterly useless.
Your quote might be cheaper in the event of a claim you'll pay in time, stress and an incompetently handled claim process.

The process was so quick and easy from start to finish. There was no jumping through hoops asking for further documents, just one payment for my deposit and direct debit set up and it was done. The price was also unmatched, i would highly recommend them

The worst customer service I've encountered.

Renewal time for my car insurance. Over £300 more expensive than quotes I've received, so I told them I wasn't renewing. 4 emails sent from the 20/9, stating I wasn't renewing, confirmation emails received to acknowledge I wasn't renewing. Then more emails confirming my renewal 🤬.

Telephone call for 13 minutes on the 23/9 stating I wanted this renewal cancelled, confirmation from the call handler it had been cancelled.

Email on the 24/9 another renewal letter!! Confirming my renewal!! How many more times do I need to tell you to cancel??

Email from my bank on the 25/9 telling me my new direct debit has been set up... FFS. Cancel this renewal!! How incompetent can one company be? I'm so pleased I didn't have to use this company in the event of a claim, god knows how that would've ended up.

Im a first time customer of go skippy i was met with a very friendly kind helpful agent who performed a car insurance quote for me which came back at a very good price which I decided to go ahead and purchase for my vehicle im very happy with the quote from go skippy and would recommend go skippy to anyone looking for good honest cheap car insurance

Recently bought a car insurance with GoSkippy it was pretty straight forward.

Would recommend as it provides all the benefits.

They are not a good company! No customer care at all , slap on late fees , no grace period and staff i spoke to were no help at all.

Joke of a company, worst one ive been with, communication is terrible and no care for customers.
Apparently I didn't reply to an email about a document that I sent even though I sent everything I needed to so they just cancelled my policy. No phone call no warning just cancelled on me, I have 2 disabled kids that I need my car for which I told go skippy and they didn't even acknowledge what I said, infact I had to email them 5 times before I got a reply 2 weeks later to find out if my policy was actually cancelled or if it was just an email trying to pry money out of me.
So im stuck now with no car with 1 child that's completely disabled and needs wheelchair access.
I wish I could of rated this company 0 stars. Absolutely would not recommend, they may be cheap but you get what you pay for.

Policy cancelled while I was waiting for their IT investigation

Very disappointing experience with GoSkippy.

I received a notice saying my insurance was going to be cancelled because the GoSkippy Connect app had allegedly not been used properly. However, I had been using the app and keeping Bluetooth enabled when driving.

The frustrating part is that the app regularly sent me notifications saying there was a connection issue. Whenever this happened, I opened the app to check, only for the app itself to show that everything was connected and working correctly. I therefore had no indication that there was anything further I needed to do.

I contacted GoSkippy and explained the situation. I was told that their IT team would investigate the issue and that a decision about the cancellation would be made after that investigation.

I also sent two emails explaining the problem and providing evidence that my app was configured correctly. I received no substantive response to either email.

Then, without being given the outcome of the IT investigation or a response addressing the evidence I had provided, I received confirmation that my policy had been cancelled.

This has caused me a considerable amount of unnecessary stress and inconvenience. Being told that your car insurance is being cancelled is a serious matter, particularly because it can potentially affect how you have to answer questions when obtaining insurance in the future.

I have now submitted a formal complaint and have asked GoSkippy to explain the outcome of the IT investigation, the technical evidence relied upon when cancelling my policy, and why my evidence and previous emails were not addressed before the cancellation went ahead.

I will update this review if and when GoSkippy properly investigates the matter and provides a response.

Been with GoSkippy couple of years now and never had a problem. Website easy to use and very competitive price but always cheaper.
