CREDIT CARD FRAUD
The selection of hair is extremely good. Better than most. Shipping turnaround is fantastic. However. 4 out of the last 5 times I've ordered from Hair Stop and Shop in the last 18 months, I've subsequently experienced CREDIT CARD FRAUD.
At first, I thought it was a coincidence as I shop online in spurts. Not that big retailers are immune, but this is the only unknown retailer I shop with. To test my suspicions, the last time I ordered from Hair Stop and Shop, I used a credit card I hardly ever touch and have never used online. Two days after my LAST order, someone was running a muck with my credit card.
I've seen their recent messages about how they've upgraded this or that and their IT department blah, blah, blah. Maybe their IT department is selling customer credit card information. I don't know if Hair Stop and Shop is knowingly responsible or if their website is just that unsecure. Makes no difference. I won't shop with them anymore. Neither should you.

Per our previous investigation, there were no trace of security breach found on our website. Our IT Department has made sure that the website is secure, and our payment gateway has also updated our card security system to make it more secure for card transactions. All card details given over the internet to Hair Stop and Shop site is encrypted using secure socket layer known as SSL. Customers' credit and debit card details are not saved and cannot be accessed by our employees or anyone. The website is secured with a Starfield Technologies Web Server Certificate. We are currently in contact with our payment gateway Authorize.Net, and have reported this crime/internet fraud to Belleville Police because this issue seems to be still happening after such safety changes on our website. Unfortunately, we're informed that there are thousands of possibilities that credit card information can be stolen. Possible reasons are hacker may have hacked user's computer, skimming, and phishing attempts. Police informed us that hackers can steal credit card information off the user's computer by typing it on their computer/cellphone. While an investigation is still on going, we suggest customers to consider checking out via Paypal and/or to make sure that the computer being used to place any order online has internet security to avoid important information being stolen by hackers. I just want people to know that I purchase hair 3 times.
Twice on my credit card and once on my husband and hair stop and shop used my credit card and my husband card for online purchases I contact for the manager to call me but never did- so if you are hit with fraud it’s hair stop and shop. I never used my credit card but this organization and that’s how I found out so BEWARE

Amazing customer service and quality product. At first I doubt if it's quality and would be shipped right away thanks they never failed me and it is probably one of the reason I always get my orders on time. The customer service is superb too!

It is always hard to get in contact with anyone if you have an issue with your order. I sent them an email, they emailed me back days later, and right when I saw that they emailed me, I emailed them back again right away. It still took them forever to email me back, even though I emailed them back immediately. It just doesn’t make sense to me. I’ve also noticed some false advertisement. They say that you get a free thing of hairspray if you purchase something over $20, my last purchase was $50, and they never even gave me what was supposed to come with it.

Im from the uk and was nervous because i only read these reviews after i made my purchase. However the customer service has been really good and responsive and my package was shipped and got to the uk in less than a week. And the prices are lower that other websites so good experiance on that part . Its only a four star because my wig was stolen by royal mail i hope the postman enjoys his new lace-front wig at this point. (But thats royalmails fault not hairstopandshop)

No issues with them
Never had any issues regarding my credit card information being stolen. I have been a customer since 2018. Delivery to TX may take some time, but I always get my items. They send email if my item has ran out, so I have option to choose other colors, or change it to something else. This is the only online wig shop my sister and I buy from.

Be careful if you order from this company. I have ordered from them a few times and was pleased at first, my items arrived quickly and with no issues, however, the last two times I ordered there was fraudulent activity on the accounts linked to the cards I used to order. I reached out to the company to express my concerns and got no response, I suppose that they don't mind having their customers information stolen from their site.

False Shipping Information
I ordered 3 wigs from this site. On October 13th, 2020. They were quick to take my money but real slow on shipping the order. I sent an email to customer service on 10/16/20. Miraculously in response to my email,, shipping info became available. I received an email saying the wigs shipped out on 10/16. Guess what? Here we are on 10/19 and I check the status to see that only the label has been created and nothing has actually shipped at this point. If I didn't need these wigs specifically for a birthday party this week, I would have canceled this order. As a matter fact, I still might because now me and my 2 sisters will have to scramble to find something else. I wish I read these reviews before I ordered.

Both times I have ordered from this site I have had to cancel my debit card and order a new one because of my information getting stolen and someone spending my money. Please be careful. I would only buy from them with a prepaid card. Also both times I ordered i had issues. First time I was sent the wrong wig and second time the wig I ordered was out of stock after I paid for it. But I did get a refund for that one at least. All and all I would say stay away if possible.

Frequent Cancellation of Orders
I have purchased from this stores total of 7 times, and 5 of those times I was notified that the color wig I ordered was no longer in stock. Only once from those times they had another color available that I was interested in swapping out for. Therefore, my order had to be cancelled four times!!!!
I find this unacceptable! I understand it to happen occasionally, but they apparently either do not have a system that updates regularly to show their customers what colors are currently available, or they are over-selling them similar to how airlines over-book and they always send out the item to everyone else before sending it to me, which by that time it is sold out.
Either way, it is bad business and I will no longer be purchasing from them.

I placed an order that did not go through due to me being outside the US with my card. I checked my bank balance 1 week later and saw $520US missing. Someone had a lovely time spending my hard earned money on a birthday party, they even ordered Papa John's.
Reported the fraudulent transactions to both my bank and Hair Stop and Shop. A hold was placed on my card and Stop and Shop rep told me there is nothing that can be done. Coincidentally, the first withdrawal was the exact amount as my initial order that did not go through on the website.

I had read the reviews about Hair Stop and Shop and I was scared to order from them, but I had 0 issues. This could be because they are located in New Jersey & I’m a New Jersey resident. I ordered my hair July 4 and it came today, July 8. Just keep in mind this place is located in NJ, so think about your distance from here before ordering!

PLEASR DON'T ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. I really wish that I would have read the reviews before placing my order. I purched hair June 24th, paid to have my order in three days. It is now the 4th of July and I still don't have my hair. Companies like this are quick to charge you for shipping on items that are NOT in stock. They have completely stop responding.
