So far, so good. Competitive pricing and easy to order. Now the crunch......in view of Trump's actions, will I get my liquid gold in anything like the timeframe indicated?

Ordered 500L heating oil on 03/03/26, they said it would be delivered by Tuesday 17th March… low and behold it hasn’t been delivered. It has been ‘scheduling for delivery’ since 04/03/26 and not updated. I’ve Had no communication what so ever… I have a 5 month old baby and a 3 year old. I have now run out of oil and have no hot water.. oh and they have taken the money… I’m on maternity leave and will have to and find more money to order from somewhere else…. This is not acceptable! Do not order from them 😡

Managed to order 500 litres at a difficult time. Home Fuels always come through. Thank you. Ordered 17 March for hopefully delivery next week to a very cold house! SH

Ordered 02/03/2026 delivered today 17/03 as scheduled.
Driver very efficient and friendly and reversed down narrow lane with no complaints.

Absolutely horrendous experience. They are quick at taking your money but unable to deliver oil. Zero customer service. Avoid at all cost.

Ordered and paid for oil 3 weeks before the price hike. Two missed deliveries with no update whatsoever. Spent hours on the line with Certas (parent company), each time being told a different story, either vehicle breakdown, or they sent the wrong vehicle. Eventually, they cancelled the order saying they can’t find a suitable vehicle. No one ever calls the customer to explain why, only a cold email and I haven’t even received the refund.

By this point, oil price has gone up from 62p to 144p. My heating oil is finishing. When price goes up sharply like this, they just cancel order and forcing customer to pay more. Absolutely disgusting company!

Ordered oil approx 3 weeks ago and was told a date of on or before. They confirmed a couple of days before that delivery would be on a certain date. Our oil has still not been delivered and I have not heard a thing from them or had my account updated. I have emailed, messaged etc but no response. I know everywhere must be busy but I have now had to turn our boiler off so we have no heating or hot water.

Fuel delivered on the date I was told when ordering, may not sound out of the ordinary but given the state of oil supply currently this is really good. No cancelling orders because the oil price had shot up. I paid 84ppl – 50+% more than my order in Dec 25 but given BJ were quoting over 100ppl at the time of ordering I can only praise HomeFuels/Certas for sticking to the order.

HomeFuels Direct failed to deliver and we have now run out of fuel. The usual rate is around 300 pounds, and this time it was around 670 - over double. They did not notify us that it would be late, and there is no number for their customer service. The only number they provide is to Certasenergy, who then "contacts" Homefuels on your behalf. No new date provided, and no discount for our troubles. Very telling that they've switched comments off all their social media because they know they consistently let their customers down.

I ordered 1500l just before the price shot up, but my oil never arrived.
I sent a query using their web form, and an email - no response.
Eventually got them on the phone - they claimed their driver could not get their 4 wheel tanker down my road.
Every oil delivery I've had over the past 10+ years has been in a 4 wheel tanker!
I explained this to them, and explained that the bin lorry is able to get down my road every week without issue.
They said they would attempt to re-deliver, but the next day I got an email from them saying their smallest tanker was too big to fit down my road, and that my order had been cancelled.
In my reply I said that if they didn't want to deliver the oil which I had already paid for, they could buy it back from me at the current retail price. This seems fair - they'll resell it at this price.
Again, no response...
DO NOT USE HOMEFUELS DIRECT!!!

Update 24/03/2026:
Last week I sent an email to the Customer Relations address with the details requested.
As expected, I got no response...
I had to reorder with another supplier at more than twice the price.
They delivered it in a 6 wheel tanker and had no trouble getting down my road.
The blatant profiteering by Homefuels Direct needs to be stopped!

Unfortunately our heating oil was not delivered by the date specified, and we have now run out. We were not told that the delivery would not arrive, and now have no idea when it may come. With a small child in a rural area we are left with no heating or hot water. We have not had any response to our email asking if and when the delivery will arrive. We are not sure if we should try to order directly with a local supplier, as we have already paid for our order with home fuels direct. My advice is avoid this company and order directly from a local trusted supplier. Very disappointed amd left in limbo.

Order was delivered short by 30 litres. I contacted home fuels but they have not got back to me at all.

Complete scam?! Spent over £1800 on fuel. Delivery didn’t turn up. No way to speak to someone. No answer on emails. They’ve just robbed me.

We placed an order a week before the problems in the middle east, paid for it and then had to wait 3 weeks before delivery even though we were really low on oil.
Trying to get any sense out of them is a nightmare.
Many many phone calls waiting 20 plus minutes, waiting for a promised call back that never happened.
E mails not even answered.
WE WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN AND WILL RECCOMEND OTHERS NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY.

Failed to deliver on three promised dates.
When phoning, get cut off after 25 minutes on hold.
Ordered on 01.03.26 and still waiting to hear on 16.3.26.
Not good.

Home fuels Direct have an efficient ordering system keeping us informed at all times.
Oil delivered on the promised date at the promised price by a friendly delivery driver.
Very impressed with this company. I would certainly order from them again.

It seems that most of the negative reviews come from people who placed their orders too late. We’ve used HFD many times and our experience has always been positive. Occasionally deliveries have arrived a few days late and other times a couple of weeks early. However, once you receive confirmation, dont worry, they will honour the contract. As long as you order well in advance, you’re unlikely to be disappointed. HB 24/02/26

Booked some home heating oil on the busy morning when there was immense demand for fuel, the website couldn't handle the traffic and was understandably unresponsive with the prove per litre rising by the minute. I booked my refill just before the price hike and HomeFuels Direct honoured this process despite other companies cancelling orders and re offering at a higher price.

Ordering was easy no problems with delivery.
