I ordered heating oil on March 1 for delivery March 13. It was confirmed on March 2 and has remained "Delivery Scheduling In Progress" ever since. I am pretty sure that it will be cancelled, for some spurious reason. I will eventually be refunded and will be forced to buy at double the price. It happened before with Boiler Juice, but up until now, not with Home Fuels Direct. I understand the global situation and realise prices have gone up, but would they pass on savings, if they fell? Also Home Fuels pride themselves on "transparency". Let's wait and see...

IOrdered on 2 march, 500 litres,confirmed delivery date of 7th march but account says on or before 16th March.
Given the other reviews, I highly doubt we will get this delivery on Monday.
Have emailed several times and called just to be put on hold and then disconnected.
Will review again IF we ever get delivery!
Absolutely shambles...usually go with boilerjuice but thought we would give them a try.

Quick response on TP, have now emailed so will wait to hear back as deadline for delivery is today.

Home fuels always deliver on time and are usually completely priced.
This order was very expensive but expected due to the problems in Iran.

Complete lack of communication regarding an order placed over two weeks previous...And paid for in full.
Whilst appreciating the current problems it is the total lack of information about the order that is so completely unacceptable.
HomeFuels is owned by Certas Energy a major (and I thought) respected UK fuel distributor. To blank off customers who have paid weeks ahead of delivery is a shoddy way of treating them....I am left completely in limbo...no info no apology and above all...No Fuel.

The response below is an insult as they already have a message from me directly and only serves the fact that they are in fact ignoring all communications. Utterly outrageous

One star as no option to leave zero. First time using this company and was very easy to order and money taken from card same day. However that’s the only slightly positive thing. No update on tracking from the day ordered 3/3, no oil delivered and have had to lower the thermostat to avoid heating the house. As an asthmatic this is never a great thing to do and with the chilly temperatures has now resulted with me becoming ill. Have enquired online many times and had one response with no actual information as to when it will arrive. Don’t want to order anywhere else firstly due to the ridiculous prices now and secondly if a miracle occurs and this order gets delivered there will be no room in the tank. I can imagine they are inundated with messages and finding it difficult to respond, but very nice for them that they have no problems taking and retaining your hard earned money! Would appreciate anyone giving me a phone number so I could actually speak to someone - any update however bad the news is better than being ignored. My advice if you need oil anytime soon don’t use this company. My delivery date was and is still showing on or around 12/3. Perhaps the company could use our money to invest in a tracking system useful to the company but most importantly its customers?

Update - delivery was delayed by three days probably due to the current global issues. But good and delivery good. One small thing, have completed reviews twice now but have never received the fuel additive promised.

Order fuel 3 weeks ago for delivery on Monday 9th March but they just never turned up, no notice of a delay or any contact of rebooking the delivery. Just taken my money and ran.
Read negative reviews on here since and sent emails to the email address they ask you to contact but you don’t here back.
Phone them and your immediately put on hold which cuts out after 20 minutes.
Do not book oil from them, they don’t deliver and steal your money.

Ordered oil 23/02/26 and money taken from my account immediately. Oil was supposed to be delivered by 10/03/26 and did not arrive. I have had no response from Homefuels Direct AT ALL after several emails. I contacted Certas on 10/03/26 and they were unable to advise a delivery date. I now have very little oil left, I am without heating and only turn my boiler on for hot water for a shower and then immediately turn the boiler off again. This is absolutely disgraceful, allowing customers to freeze in their own homes and have no access to hot water. Homefuels Direct and Certas, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! I paid in good faith 10 days before the conflict started so to use this as a reason for non delivery is not acceptable.

I have been ordering via Homefuels Direct for many years now, having swapped from another very well known comparison site, after continuously paying more than the average and horrendous customer service. HFD have been 5 star to date, even honouring my recent delivery, at the same price I ordered with no hassle at all. Drivers are always fabulous, great company.

Great service Driver very helpful, my site location of oil tank involves pulling hose to tank location up a hill , which is physical hard work but he just got on with it with no complaining.
Also big credit to home fuels for sticking to my pre-order price as I only just ordered my oil just a week or so in advance before the war in Iran started , and I’ve heard a lot of other heating oil companies cancelling pre -order as the war started, so they could charge customers extra .
So thank you home fuels for sticking to original price👍

Delivery supposed to be on Thursday 12th but failed to arrive despite email confirming date. No text giving any information as to what was happening. No contact numbers on the website so contacted versus who put us through to sales who were very helpful and said delivery would be on Saturday 14th now. Do not have a lot of confidence though due to previous failure and no updated delivery date has been emailed as confirmation.

Paid over double for what I usually pay for 500 litres. Given a date for delivery and that has now passed. Website has no contact numbers and they didn’t contact me to inform of delivery being delayed. Had to call Certas whose address is at bottom of website. They didn’t have a clue when delivery would be. Absolute joke. Profiteering from current situation. Charging over double usual price. If you can’t supply on time do not offer a delivery date. Who knows when it will arrive?????

Oil not delivered on the delivery date they provided and no response to email. No telephone number so it’s impossible to speak to anyone. Quite frustrating!

I ordered on 01.03.26 and my oil was delivered today, ahead of schedule.

Delivery was refused due to tank issue. Company have yet to respond to multiple mails after 24 hrs. You have my money, when are you redelivering? Just contact me!

Twice now we've ordered heating oil, they've confirmed a delivery date and that date has passed with no delivery. The very least they can do is to send an email and say delivery has been delayed but they don't. And they make it impossible to get in touch. You send messages and never received a response. Not good enough

Update: interesting that they're fast to respond to negative reviews but not general queries or resolving issues

order placed on the 23 feb and STILL NO OIL DELIVERED
absolute shambles was told the 5th march still nothing then told 11 march early morning still no fuel now system shut down due to lack of oil so no heating or hot water and no reply from Homefuel after 15 emails

Highly recommended. A couple of days late on the delivery but they honoured the order despite extenuating circumstances due to the Iran war.
