Been a Home Serve customer for about 3 or 4 years. First time I needed to use the policy for water heater repair or replacement, they denied my claim. Stating the water heater was installed incorrectly. Which I doubt because we've had it since 2006 with no problems until recently in 2026 when it made a banging sound and we went to check it out. Called Home Serve to come out and access it and was advised it needed major repairs or replacement. But they would not cover it. Home Serve had gone up on the monthly payments each year and have collected my money through CenterPoint. That's over $600 or more that I paid over the course of 3 to 4 years and got nothing in return. The company they sent out agreed to fix it but totally out of pocket to me. I called and cancelled the policy today. These types of policies always mess (not the word I really want to use) over the homeowner!!!!
