Relatively easy to open online, some wording a bit confusing.
Automatic emails requesting funding of account were irritating when it was a ISA transfer.

Very simple process to open my account.
Would be 5 stars if they had a mobile phone app to view and manage the account.

I have been trying to log into my 95 day notice account so as to give notice to withdraw money from my account with the bank. When asking for an authentification code to be sent to me it never arrives. I have also tried to phone them on their correct telephone numbers but the call constantly says calling.

Opening my account online was a straightforward operation and the selection and description of available savings accounts was very clear. Interest rates seem to be competitive. Most important is that I can call HTB and speak to a knowledgeable advisor without hanging on for half an hour.

Opening an account straight forward, good communication during the process of opening the account and competitive interest rate.

Staff were friendly and helpful when I had problems with a new ISA.

Took 6 phone calls to set up the account and on the last call a lady called Rashini accused me of being a liar. I have been juggling these bank bonds for 8 years and I have 16. I have saved with hampshire trust bank previously and again have been impressed with the ease of communication.

HTB were very approachable and helpful. Telephone calls were returned and all our enquires were addressed.
I have no hesitation in recommending Hampshire Trust Bank.

I recently opened an ISA with HTB. It was a very easy process and a good interest rate.

I transferred two ISAs, one of which was a partial transfer. The partial transfer was not handled well and when I chased for an update I was told the funds had been transferred and could be viewed on my account.

On checking my online account the funds had not arrived and when I phoned to query this, it transpired the instructions had not been issued to my exisiting ISA provider. No apology was forthcoming and my application for redress in respect of lost interest owing to HTB's delays was refused.

I applied for a 5 year fixed ISA on 24/12/25, transfering in an ISA from UBL which matured on 5/01/26. It is now 15/01 26 and the transfer has still not been completed. I have transferred many ISAs over the years and none have taken as long. Meanwhile the money in my UBL ISA is not earning interest!

Trying to open a savings account was a joke
Waiting days and days for answers to questions
When you call you get through to a a call centre with people whom don’t seem to speak good English and in one case hung up on me
When the account is finally opened you transfer the opening deposit and they don’t acknowledge it is arrived for 5 days
So you think it’s lost or a scam and have to ask your transferring bank to investigate
No apology or any admission of error

The customer service of this bank is shocking

My only gripe is when you give one provider fifteen days notice authorisation to transfer your maturing ISA. Then it's not done on the maturity date. It can be a week to ten days before the funds transfer. Surely both providers can carry out any checks and balances in the fifteen days. If they do this on every account how much interest are people losing until the funds are transferred. It's not just this brand. They all do it.

This is the highest interest 5 year bond I have seen at present.so very grateful.easy to open.and worth it for 5 years.thank you.i like to get interest yearly paying my bills.
