I love the work that been put into the story, lore, and puzzles in the game.

The game looked good, but there were 3 pages of a police report and we were missing one (received 2 copies of page one and none of page two). We’ve sent 3 emails, plus a message on the Facebook site just asking for a copy of this page—we need it to solve the mystery. No response at all. Terrible customer service for something that could be so easily resolved with a simple email. Waste of money.

The boxes are well put together and the puzzles are fun. I will absolutely be dumping money into doing more of these. I hope future sets all come in boxes as well!

The stories that are created feel real and grounded. I felt like I was a part of the story! The Hunt A Killer company is creative and filled with helpful people!

We ordered our package 2 weeks ago and have NOT received it nor received any help from the company! Every email the send back gives a broken link to track our package and that is all they keep sending! I am very disappointed as we planned on buying a big quantity for a summer camp this summer, yet we haven’t received the one we ordered to decide how many more we should get!

I guess I’d give it a zero for now since we have yet to receive it!

I purchased Class of 98 because my high level esl students were interested in doing a mystery game. (*Note: I do not live in the US) So I ordered the box set and had it delivered, and let me tell you, that was the quickest delivery of my life EVER!!! It arrived within a week! (Yes, it was expensive.) The price was worth it for 8 weeks of enjoyment from my class, and no need for planning lessons, as we started where we left off and followed the instructions on the card and had a lot of class discussion. My class enjoyed it so much I ordered another mystery for them as well as some other shorter mysteries to use in the future. AND my other english classes are now asking if they can do a mystery, too.
For this particular box set, it took my class 8 weeks (8x90 minutes). They kind of started to lose steam around the middle, but the new boxes with new evidence kept them entertained.
I really like (and the kids loved) that there was actual physical evidence and hidden pieces and clues.
Since I hadn't done the mystery, either, I was helping them along the way, but let them lead the "investigation". It was great fun, and I recommend it to teachers as well. (my grades are jr. high.) The only problem was that we all overthought the solution. Hah!

It was a fun well thought out game. My friends and I really enjoyed it. Though we didn't sit down on a weekly basis but just went over it as we had time. Some of the evidence was a little hard to read but added to the immersion of the game. There was a lot of codes, more than I expected.

I joined HAK in 2017 and was in one of the original cohort groups that started back when you were assigned a group. What drew me to HAK was the fact that it was a small company with great customer service (I remember being on the phone with people who you could never speak with now, on Easter regarding an issue for example, and they went out of their way to make things right, The stories were unique, puzzles were difficult, and they boxe you received were for lack of a better word, "gory" at times...that's what made it great. The first season (all 8 episodes) was awesome and I was hooked...and then something happened at about season 3, the writing changed drastically. The episode length had already changed to 6, but the storylines became more mainstream. I stayed on though. I was a big fan of the Box sets and kept forgetting to cancel my subscription so I stayed on getting monthly subscription boxes and just hoped things would improve (and honestly would forget to cancel my autopay). The storylines went from serial killers to assisting a detective agency (similar to other companies) and the storylines were far from spooky or scary. The box sets were solvable in hours if that and If I needed customer support, there was no longer a human, there was a chatbot. Funny this was the same company just a few years earlier that I raved about what great customer service they had. I think it is a great product if you are new to these kinds of mystery boxes. I wish they still created content like their original content may be in addition, because that is what would keep me as a customer.

These games are challenging and fun. I am grateful for the hints and reveals when I am working on the game by myself and just can't figure out a particular part. I really like the quality of the contents of the game as it adds so much to the experience.

It's was so detailed and just the right amount of difficulty. My only complaint would be that my episode 5 inventory card was missing, but all the actual evidence was still there so it was okay

We've been past customers for HAK -- and our son got us a gift set for Christmas. I emailed the company asking to exchange the UNOPENED box set (it's one we've already played), but they refused. However, in their terms and conditions, they allow substitutions on their end. Horrendous policy. Buyer beware.

Our grown children find it very difficult to buy for us. In 2020, they bought us Hunt a Killer "Curtain Call" set. We absolutely loved it! We hinted (blantantly) before Christmas of 2021 how we were hoping to receive another Hunt a Killer gift. They were thrilled that we loved it. They gave us a HAK gift card, and I chose the Mystery I thought we would enjoy. Blair Witch, which I chose, was not a good choice for us. We did not enjoy it as we did "Curtain Call", as it did not feel like detective work on finding a murderer - it felt more like a scavanger hunt. We finished it and realized this type of genre was not for us. This 2022 Christmas, we received another HAK gift card and purchased "The Moon Summit" which we absolutely loved. It was more challenging than "Curtain Call", but just as much fun. The cyphers were not easy!!!! This is such a fun activity to relish and discuss - even when you are not actually playing the game. Thank you HAK!

It’s pretty easy to get lost in this. The first few episodes took us a while. It’s not for the average mystery goers. It’s pretty in depth. I got this for my wife as a birthday gift. We love it! Can’t wait to start season two!

Fun interesting puzzles and I do it with friends and family

After enjoying Hunt a Killer for three years, a family member got me a gift box for a game I had already played. Hunt a Killer customer service refused to let me exchange the game citing their terms of service that prohibits this. Buyers beware! It’s a fun service, but clearly the company places no value on customer satisfaction or loyalty.

Although we were enjoying the game we were taking a while to get through it so I paused my subscription for three months. They not only charged my credit card before the pause was up they sent a new game. We didn't even want that one. Have tried to call and emailed so many times with no response. This is fraud since I did NOT approve the purchase

This company sells incomplete products and charges you a subscription fee to get the rest of it. Sound familiar? Video game companies do this all the time, selling the second half as "DLC"... but we're talking about a BOARD GAME.

When I buy a board game, I expect to be able play it right out of the box. Without an internet connection and definitely without needing a monthly subscription.

The fact that this 'company' doesn't offer returns due to "the nature of their product" means they know they are selling trash and don't want it back.

How could they improve? They'd have to start accepting returns, processing refunds and apologizing to their customers. But we all know they won't do that.

I wonder how many of these 5 star reviews were from employees and other paid sources.

I have been playing Huntakiller for about 2 years. If you like solving mysteries you will love Huntakiller and how in depth they go with each box to draw you in the game

I have had a subscription since the beginning and I have thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed every season. If you like to to solve puzzles and enjoy mysteries I would highly recommend

The most fun date night at home!!! These boxes are immersive and such a blast alone of with a group!!
