The boiler that I have is quite old now but, it has never let me down; this is because your service staff allways stick to getting the job done properly and not cutting corners. They have given me some very good advice on the do's and dont's . Also I have never had to wait for them they allways get here on time

1/5 — Premature component failure, then complete silence
I had two identical Intergas Kombi Kompakt HRE 24/18 A boilers installed at the same time, in the same building, by the same contractor. One developed an ignition fault (error code 4) at three years old — the ignition unit and NTC sensor cable both failed. The other boiler, installed under identical conditions, has had zero issues. That comparison alone suggests a component quality problem rather than installation or usage.
When I contacted Intergas, customer service, told me the warranty had expired and that was the end of it — no interest in looking at the underlying cause. I followed up in writing on 22 May with a detailed, documented complaint, referencing the relevant Dutch consumer law (BW Art. 7:17) on reasonable product life expectancy, and asked for a response within 14 days.
That deadline passed. I escalated again on 9 June, copying several members of the management team directly. Still nothing. I sent a final notice on 16 June. As of today, I have had zero substantive response to three written complaints over nearly a month.
I'm not reviewing the boiler's mechanical reliability here — I'm reviewing the complete absence of any customer service response to a clearly documented, reasonable complaint. Repair costs aside, ignoring a customer in writing three times over is not what I'd expect from a manufacturer of this size.
If you're deciding between heating brands, factor in what happens when something does go wrong — because for me, the answer was nothing at all.

Boiler repair

We had no hot water..intergas arranged for James to come and fix the boiler…what was thought to be an easy fix , turned out to be a lengthy job..James was very patient and thorough…he explained what had happened and how it could be fixed….no mess to clear up…everyone needs a James…thank you

True professional


Nico arrived on time, was courteous and straight away asked pertinent questions while checking our boiler. He diagnosed the issue swiftly, correcting the information given by our previous plumber, that the faulty Heat Exchanger wasn’t the issue. He also advised us it was best to have the Annual Boiler Service to be carried out by the boiler company (Intergas) itself. We were happy to have the annual check done as well as getting the Inhibitor added to the CHS at the same time, by Nico. He was meticulous and diligent, while helping us understand all along about what he was doing. Nico also suggested next steps for us regarding getting a plumber to change a hose as well as what to do regarding the leak outside the house (from the pipe work - which were all outside the boiler). We were grateful that Nico wrote down what parts he had changed so that there was clarity for us. Nico was friendly, respectful, thorough and very professional.
