For me I tried 1 month searching and changing quite few suppliers. Their catalogs are not accurate in products and prices, so you list and sell to find out that was a different price or the product cant be purchased direct with supplier's webpage meaning that the only possible way is to pay 200/month for Inventory Source to have the full automation plan and so be able to make your orders through their system (if that works) who knows... In theory is amazing but in reality I found very hard to get accepted by the suppliers and when so they did no offered wholesale prices at all even been an authorized reseller. The whole-thing just does not works.

No reminders of trial period ending

No reminders of trial period ending. Unlike literally every other app I have used, Inventory Source did not provide any e-mail reminders that the free trial period was ending. Sure, they don't have to, but when it's apparently the norm for apps like it, that reflects not-so-great on this company. The integration on my account was actually never completed, I had not used their services at all. In the midst of setting up my account with Inventory Source, along with others, I had an unexpected death in the family, and handling that took over everything else - and in the middle of that I was charged $200 for for service I never used. I understand auto payments and how that works, so I reached out to customer service to explain the circumstances and ask for a refund, considering I never used the service and was not warned of the trial period ending. Inventory Source replied with a long-winded, "Sorry, not sorry. No refunds." And I never got to even use them. I have no idea what I just paid $200 for. So just beware, their customer service is severely lacking. I can't speak to the actual product or service offered, since I never used it. I'd skip Inventory Source and try a different company that doesn't act so cutthroat about profit over customers.

The most unfair practice we have ever…

The most unfair practice we have ever seen, if the system because of some error doesn't process a single monthly payment they do not give you a simple freeze or give a grace period or similar they put all your inventory to 0 with the excuse that is to protect you, resulting in the LOST OF ALL your advertising products ranking and your marketplace linked products like eBay, Etsy getting deactivated losing all the listing fees because you need to pay to relist them in our case more than 6,000 products x .20 cents do the math, for a single day late and a communication error vs 150 monthly. We think this company needs a better legal advice team before they get into bigger problems with these unfair practices :)

Pathetic service and no solutions.

Pathetic service. No solutions. Highly monthly prices. Multiple issues on several fronts. Sync does not work as intended. Your order will go through and then you will learn that your supplier is out of stock on that product because inventory source did not sync your stock correctly with the supplier. Whats the point in paying them every month? Also the product import will only import the parent skus and not the variant images- Just 1 from each color and size. Support will just keep saying they will do it but they actually won't do anything about it. No support for affiliates at all either.

it's just an awesome company to work with. email them in the middle of the night or chat with them in the morning. their customer service is excellent at all hours. super easy integration setup.

Idea may sound good but it doesn't…

Idea may sound good but it doesn't actually work and I keep on having different issues every few weeks that disrupts our business and causes us huge financial losses.

They wouldn't notify you about known issues or that they need some information from you due to integration changes.

You would see sudden stops of uploading tracking, stops of accurate inventory counts etc.

We have had a huge net loss by using them and they have harmed our marketplace accounts and we haven't had any unique issues that would only affect us... seems like this would happen to anyone

Over promise cannot deliver as advertise

A huge waste of time and money. I paid a premium of $250/monthly to automate my existing online store with my supplier. I am looking to scale up and automate processes, so I figure let's give this software a try since it's compatible with Prestashop. My supplier is already listed in their directory--it'll be better than emailing my vendor all the time to process orders.

I am giving this company this score for these reasons: onboarding team is sporadic (lack of cohesion within the team and I wonder if they're all on the same page with the data I keep sending over to them to setup automation because they keep asking me for the same thing over-and-over) it's been 3 weeks, and they still haven't fully set everything up, the technical team hasn't followed up after 3 days of putting in a request for integration, and for a company that has 24/7 support-- the support isn't available!

Since I haven't used it and automation never happened with onboarding, I hope this company gives me a full refund--I have asked with no response so far.

There is no way someone can actually bulk import listings in a marketplace no matter which supplier you choose. Specifically i have tried with ebay and my review is based on this. Their systems not working as advertised. Pay an overpriced fee and end up edit categories and title manually for each listing. Stay away

The only marketplace that we can publish to is eBay with our Push to eBay tool. We do not offer bulk importing listings to marketplaces like Wal-Mart or Amazon based on their API requirements.

When it comes to automation that is and has always been our focal point. We automate inventory, prices, and orders for multiple integrations types.

Great concept with poor execution

I signed up with inventory source as the concept is wonderful, but I quickly learned that the execution is not there. Their support team often reply with brief answers that do not pertain to the actual problem. I signed up inventory source to provide access to 1 distributor because I wanted to test it out before adding more. I was also signed up with the distributor directly and had access to the distributor's data feeds but I preferred the convenience that inventory source was supposed to provide. The distributor had approximately 14,000 products but inventory source had listed 6,000 of the 14,000 products from many various different categories (lingerie, toys, etc.) under the category of "general". This basically made these products unavailable to add to my catalog as I couldn't transfer the "general" products to my website . Their fix was for me to change the category name. However, there is no way to differentiate 6000 products into their correct categories with only one category name to use. After complaining about the situation to inventory source, they blamed it on the data feed provided from the distributor. I had checked the data feed from the distributor prior to making the complaint and the category "general" was not the distributors data feed. I also contacted the distributor directly and they confirmed that they did not have a category of "general" . I quickly determined that I was not going to be able to resolve this issue and it would be best to stop using their services as I no longer trusted that the other data being provided was correct, such as the pricing, inventory or MAP policies. Thankfully my loss was minimal and lesson learned quickly.

Great concept

Great concept. There are not enough suppliers in the Lawn and Garden Niche. Overall, I like the way it works when everything is automated. Also, I wish you could post more than one picture.

I am so impressed with Inventory…

I am so impressed with Inventory Source. We are a very small operation and could not manage our suppliers any other way. The IS support team is amazing and was very helpful when setting up categories. You can not go wrong with Inventory Source!

IS is the best for dropship sellers.i am using Inventory Source past few years for adding my suppliers products to my shopify and big commerce stores. The support team is highly professional and very cooperative. I wish to give 5+ stars and recommend to each and every one who need auto integration.

Runs Pretty Smooth

I have 6 solid suppliers hooked up with IS, and everything has run pretty smoothly. I've only once had an inventory issue with a product, and that was the supplier's fault, not inventory source's fault. I don't add random suppliers from their list; I fully vet my suppliers before adding them. This is what any business should do, as IS's job is to supply you the feed - you need to find out if the supplier is right for your business yourself.

I choose not to use their automatic ordering, as I prefer to do it myself, so I can't comment on how well that works. Some suppliers you HAVE to subscribe to the automatic ordering package to integrate them, which is a shame because I'd probably add a few if that wasn't required.

The only thing that bothers me is that usually only one photo uploads. I wait a week or so, and if the rest of the photos don't upload, I have to go to the supplier's website myself and download their photos to add to my listings. I don't know if the suppliers aren't sending their photos to IS, or IS just isn't uploading them. But that can get time consuming. Other than that, everything has been great and customer service has been quick to answer - day or night!

It’s only a program to integrate supplier to store

The service itself with automated inventory is good. Easy to setup and link supplier with Amazon store or Shopify store. They are quick with resolving any issues with their program. The price for service is ok. Don’t have anything else to compare it to.
They own USDirect distributed which is good cause it gives access to most of the products without having to get individual accounts for each supplier. I think the way that works is you get an order and it gets sent to USDIRECT. USDIRECT creates order with other supplier to fulfill. Basically Dropship to you so you dropship to your customer.
Early on when I first started, the only issue I have is with suppliers that was part of their list. Had over $30k in Amazon orders for tactical gear. Supplier could not fulfill 99% of the orders. Some of the orders that were fulfilled were incorrect items. I had to refund all of it and take a loss on incorrect deliveries. By the end of it all I lost a lot of money from refunds, fees from everyone, major headaches. Received tons of negative reviews which almost cost me my Amazon Seller account. If there is an issue with supplier then it has to be resolved with supplier. Inventory Source has no hand in that. Getting refunds from supplier is near impossible.
For AmazonSellers, Majority of items from their suppliers can’t be sold on Amazon. They need proof that you are authorized to sell or need approval. So not good for Amazon.
On the plus side I found a great supplier from their list and integrated it with my Shopify. It’s been doing great for the last several months.
