I ordered a Seiko Presage watch and it was the first time I've used James Porter & Son. I was really pleased with the sale price of the watch. I ordered it lunchtime on Friday and it was delivered on Saturday morning by Royal Mail Special Delivery, amazingly fast! It was packaged well and really nicely wrapped. James Porter & Son clearly care about their customers and take pride in their work. 5+ stars all around and would happily use them again.

The watch arrived on time and extremely well packaged and with real thought and care, better than I wrap my own Xmas gifts for family tbh.

Fabulous customer service provided by Claire. I live in the United States and was looking for a very specific watch only sold in England. James Porter didn't have the exact model on hand. Claire secured the specific model from the manufacturer and shipped it to California for me. Most impressive was her timely updates, keeping me informed of all steps and timing. I could not be more pleased with her assistance and professionalism. 5 stars!

I bought my bracelet on line and the site was easy to navigate all the way through the process. The bracelet was despatched very quickly and was delivered promptly.
The bracelet was well packaged and also in an inconspicuous brown cardboard box. The inner packaging was beautifully gift wrapped and presented. I am absolutely delighted with the bracelet that I bought, it's a quality product sold by a quality jewellers. Thank you James Porter and sons.

Exemplary service from start to finish from Jacqueline Henderson. Jacqueline displayed superb attention to detail with a wealth of knowledge and a no pressure sales approach, unlike other nearby jewellers.

Jacqueline helped my partner and I choose an engagement ring and wedding bands. Nothing was too much trouble for Jacqueline as she went through many rings and options with us.

We cannot recommend Jacqueline highly enough and will make her and James Porter and son our first stop for all future jewellery purchases.

I'm an American with a fondness for watches. There's 2 German brands I've followed for years but have never purchased due to the absence of dealers in America. I'm lucky enough to be on vacation in Scotland and before my trip I reached out to David, the Watch Boutique manager, and told him what I was looking for. One of the watches I was hoping to find, a Sinn 836, was not in stock. David reached out to Sinn and acquired the configuration I wanted on time for my trip. The experience I had at the Boutique was honestly emotional because it's a trip of a lifetime for me and David made it all the more amazing by going out of his way to help some random American who asked him to order a fairly expensive watch based on my telling him I would come get it. My sister and I ended up spending a couple hours in the store and I walked out with 3 new watches. I couldn't be happier with the way David treated us. He and his staff made us feel so welcome it was like chatting with friends in my living room. Except surrounded by an incredible selection of watches. My sister, who had no intention of buying anything for herself, is going to be ordering a clock and a watch when we get home. She's hard to impress and she was extremely impressed with the treatment we received. My time at James Porter & Son was the best retail experience I've ever had.

David has been nothing but helpful throughout the whole process of aquiring my nomos Tangente special edition. Him and his team were quick to reply to my enquiries about the watch and made the whole process quick and seamless without any hassle whatsoever. Truly one of the best AD experiences I have had. Even when I would be annoying with relentless questions and being a hassle with picking up n then changing to getting the watch shipped, they accommodated for me the whole way through. Cannot recommend them enough for your next watch purchase :)))

The team in the Argyll Arcade were fantastic. I brought a watch back to them which had 2 issues and they ensured that it was fixed under warranty. Technically my watch was just out of warranty but they thought the manufacturer should cover the repair regardless.
They were friendly, helpful and bent over backwards to make sure that I received a high standard of service. Although my watch is a very good brand, it’s a work watch and by no means a luxury item, yet I was treated as if I had brought back a Patek Philippe!

You find out how good a business really is not when things are going right, but when something goes wrong and their response to it. I had a couple of very minor issues with a watch I purchased. Allan at James Porter was very quick, courteous, and caring in his reply. The issues were swiftly corrected and I even received a couple of unexpected small gifts by way of apology, which was a really nice touch! I wouldn't hesitate in buying from James Porter again and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.

Second time I buy from James Porter from abroad. For that special watch, the deal was concluded in November 2023, and everything goes smoothly until the conclusion. The total experience was very pleasant and David and his team were very responsive and were listening to customer.
