So disappointing

I ordered (order #1527) the Taylor Swift 2025 calendar and slippers on December 7. I received the slippers, but I'm still waiting to receive the calendar. All my emails (4) remain unanswered. I've tried to contact JulyAgain through the contact page on their website (Jan 13), also there, no response. So, no reply or update. No phone number to reach them. I'm really frustrated and angry. This was not a cheap calendar and it was a gift for my daughter-in-law for Christmas. I would not recommend to buy anything from JulyAgain.

Pure disappointment

Was so excited to buy this bag. Don’t even know how good it is. Because after multiple communications it still hasn’t arrived. Many conversations with their support staff never came true. Hard to trust a brand like this.

Improvement needed

Nice looking luggage initially. I have purchased, over time, a set of five in various sizes and colours. The issue I have is that all of the bags, some less than 3 months old and used once, have badly scratched corners which make them look very unsightly. Hoping in the future July can come up with a more durable solution, as the thin paint layer over the metal? is not working for me. Previous set of Mandarina Duck lasted over 15 years and still looked almost as good as new. Sadly I gifted them to my daughter when I opted to update to July. I think the design and quality overall is good, but there is definitely room for improvement.

DO NOT purchase – misleading advertising photos

I would highly recommend erring on the side of caution with this brand and shopping elsewhere.

The case I received was far from the advertised Forest colour ordered.

Following contact with the customer service team they attempted to gaslight me by informing me the case was Forest.
After a week-long protracted email battle, there is still no resolution, I still hold an ugly Charcoal case with Forest corners and July hold all my money.

My engagement with July has indicated they have poor advertising standards and ethics, poor customer service, poor environmental practices, poor accessibility options and overall questionable ethics.

Note: At the time of publishing this review July CX head of Operations has assured me collection of my case has been scheduled. However, I have zero confirmation or tangible information to believe this.

Broken lock, scam warranty, useless customer service

A lock on a brand new trunk suitcase broke during its first use and I couldn't open it for an entire 2 week holiday. I raised an issue through the Warranty claims portal, provided all videos and evidence required, and a month later am still being told that "perhaps you put the wrong combination in", despite it being clear on the evidence I submitted that the correct combination was entered. When I got home I had to use tools to open the suitcase, and now can't use it again for fear the same thing will happen. The "Customer Happiness" team is at best totally unhelpful and unbothered and at worst patronising and condescending. Avoid these jazzy internet brands and go to a proper, old school company like Samsonite that can actually make a suitcase that will last longer than a week.

July luggage lifetime warrenty scam

I couldn’t rate the “happiness team” any less….

I purchased x5 cases and x2 luggage covers some from their website and some from selfridges. If your interested “happiness team” I can provide the order numbers.

On my first use I used the 2 luggage covers. They had a few marks on after use so I followed the label instructions to hand wash. Following this the July branding peeled off. I contacted them immediately and explained sending pictures. First use, item faulty, i advised replacement was fine, simple issue to resolve. I waited a week for a response and was told I could still use them so all that could be offered was 10% off a future purchase!! Of which I don’t need anything nor would I invest any more money given this first use issue.

Such poor service. If I bought a tshirt and the branding peeled away on first use you would return straight away. The fact this company does everything possible to protect profits at the expense of their customers is appalling.

I purchased a "Checked" item of…

I purchased a "Checked" item of luggage. However, there is a niggling fault on the locking mechanism, and the wife is not keen on the colour. So tried to return it within the 100 days policy period. I am willing to change the luggage for a different colour.
However, the process for returns requires you to take a photo of the unused luggage. This I did, but I can't upload it as the website states the photo is over 4MB, which is ridiculous, as it is 515kb. So I cannot get beyoud this stage to obtain a return label. So tried the telephone number given (+4412345678) which is an invalid number. I am extremely irritated by the whole process. They are extremely fast when it comes to taking your order (and money) and sending it to you, but there the efficiency ends. Not sure what to do now as the email address link they give on the website just comes back as a delivery notification status - Failure.
This luggage is not cheap, so an investment in customer service and a reactive website would not go amiss.
If someone at "July" reads this perhaps you would extend the courtesy of contacting me, initially by this site. I will require a telephone number that is valid, as I wish to speak to someone.
Ok, this is 6 hours later. So my order number is UK72649161. I forgot to input this information.
Eventually, I managed to communicate with a bot on their website. The highlight of this communication was that it gave me an email address to enable me to communicate with their "Happiness Team." So, I communicated and pointed out that I wished to return the case within the 100 day period. You are able to do this even if there is no fault. However, the Happiness Team ignored the fact that I was returning the luggage within the 100 day timescale. They said I had to send them an email/video of the fault. Not sure how I am suposed to do this and they didn't tell me.
I responded, pointing out that whilst there is a fault, that is not the basis upon which I am returning the luggage. It is to be returned because I'm within the 100 day period. So provide it has not been used and it is in its original state and packaging, you comply with the 100 day return policy. All 3 conditions are met by me.
The email was sent and guess what, it bounced back? The reason specified was that the inbox was "full or was receiving too much mail at the moment."
I can't imagine why July is receiving so many emails at the moment. Several ideas have formed in my mind, but perhaps this is not the time or place to air them, other than to say it is a Friday afternoon and the sun is shining in England and most of the Happiness Team are probalby "working" from home.
No idea how I progress this sorry tale, but I have now decided to cancel the order all together. Watch this space.
So, it is the 7th August. Nothing happened over the weekend, but on Monday, a response saying "Hi". I replied, setting out, again, my issues as specifed above. There were 5 or 6 issues, so to make it easy I did short one sentence paragraphs. They came back on the 6th August having ignored all of my points and telling me to click a link which sent me to a web page I had already visited several times. I inputted my details, but once again I received a message telling me my photo exceeded 4mb. So I replied asking them to read all of my last email and then set out my requirements again, this time using numbered paragraphs to make it easier for them. It's gone quiet and the dreaded "Happiness Team" is my only method of communication with July. No ideas about what to do now. My 100 days is ticking away.

their customer service is also awful.

i purchased the july checked trunk in matte brown and after ONE flight it was so scuffed that even with vigorous scrubbing, it wouldn’t come off. i spoke to the customer service team and they were no help at all. told me that cosmetic issues were my problem. if i didn’t care what my suitcase looked like, why on EARTH would i spend $600 on a july suitcase??? huge huge waste of money. i’m okay with some scuffing over time, that’s to be expected but not extreme scuffing after one use.

Problem resolved with my July luggage handle

I used my July light for the first time in June on a trip to Greece. It was light and I could back for 10 days in this luggage. I had a problems with the handle extending fully while I was traveling.
When I returned, I reached out to customer service. They replied immediately by email. They asked for some video confirmation. I suppled the requested information. They are sending me a new bag. This took less than 3 days from beginning to end. I am going to assume that the problem with the handle was an isolated incident. I am looking forward to my next trip.

I returned an item and opted for gift card but it's been a week no gift card or communication at all. I tried to contact them numerous times but no reply or update. No contact number to reach them. It is really frustrating and I lost couple hundred bug.

Abysmal Customer Service

I purchased a July luggage set (carry-on plus checked bag). When I received my order, there was a defect with the checked bag. For over a week, I have been trying to receive assistance from July to exchange this bag for a new one. I have gone through the return screens and there is no option to exchange. I've contacted July customer service numerous times and each representative issues a canned message rather than trying to understand and rectify the issue. Due to the time change between Australia and the US, email communications are limited to one a day. I requested a phone number so I could speak to a live individual and my requests are ignored. Given the price point of this luggage, this horrible customer service is inexcusable.

Terrible quality luggage!

Only 3 trips and my suitcase is scratched all over, and looks about 5 years old! Expensive price but cheap quality. Very disappointed.

Bought in 2019 - still looks new

I bought my July Carry On back in 2019 and after years it's still in perfect shape. In 2022 I got the matching Checked case and took it to Europe for 5 weeks. Would have expected it to be quite dirty and scuffed when I got back (I have the light sand colour) but I wiped it down with soap and water and it looks new again, besides light scuffing on the aluminium corners - but that's to be expected. Kept two bottles of wine safe and secure home from Italy!! I love July - am a total convert.

Terrible

I purchased the July check-in and carry-on luggage in brown from the Vintage collection in late 2023. They were used for one trip; and two destinations. 98% of the time the luggage was lying on the floor in the hotel room. The amount of scuffing and distress on both bags is phenomenal. Both bags look as if they have been around the world copious times. I contacted customer service and attached images, but they refused to assist me even though the advertising byline for the Vintage collection is
"Say no to scuffs. Nothing cramps our style like scuffs. Our limited edition Heritage Trunks have a scuff-proof, crush-proof shell to withstand even the bumpiest of turbulence. All that’s left to do? "

Long Restock Times, Canceled Order, and Poor Customer Service

Overall, I like the bags we ordered from July. However, I don’t like my recent experience with their customer service. We have been waiting to order their luggage covers for a couple of months and signed up for alerts for when they would be back in stock. We have a trip coming up, so I decided to just double check again and turns out they were available. I checked my email and I had never received a restock alert from July. Anyways, I was able to order both the checked plus and carry on covers. My checked plus cover shipped quickly, but my carry on one was still pending. I checked my order status as recently as yesterday. I received no other email updates from July. However, today I got an email saying the item is out of stock and “We had attempted to reach you earlier, however it appears we were not able to get through.” Sure- it’s annoying that the item is out of stock after they allowed me to purchase it and after I had to wait months for it to restock in the first place. However, it really irks me that they threw in a false statement about attempting to reach me. I have received tons of marketing emails from July and all other order updates etc. I even double checked my junk email. There were no previous contact attempts. I don’t know why they felt the need to throw that in, but it just left a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t plan on waiting another several months for this item to restock and have already ordered a like product elsewhere.

"Lifetime Warranty" is a Farce

I was really beyond disappointed to learn that my carry-on suitcase would not be eligible for a replacement part after the laptop sleeve was detached and lost during transit. I purchased luggage from this company as I was intrigued by the Lifetime Guarantee that they advertise since I travel every week, but then was told I would need to pay $85 to have a replacement part shipped to me after it fell off after less than 2 years of use. I was not even asking for a full replacement, just 1 part of the bag and provided photo evidence of the damage and lost sleeve. I would not recommend paying so much money for low quality luggage when pieces are easily detached/damaged and the customer service does not suffice. Do better!

My beautiful monogrammed small every…

My beautiful monogrammed small every day tote arrived today. It's really well made and has lots of pockets. I'm really looking forward to using it on future travels. It was worth the wait tho I did have to email customer services a few times. I ordered it on 11/1/24 and it arrived 9/2/24, so took nearly 5 weeks..allow yourself time if going away. Beautifully packaged in ethical cardboard, no plastic. It is pricey but I think will last many years and i.like the fact that it's washable. :)

July Luggage poor experience

We pre-ordered a carry on and check in luggage set in blush pink on 10/2/2023 (Charged full amount on this day) and on 10/18/2023 we were told the items would be priority shipped to us within 7 to 12 business days, On 10/25/2023 we were told there was an issue however they were going to get the bags to us, finally on 11/10/2023 we were refunded our money because the bags never did ship, we do still really want the bags and not sure what the disconnect is but after a month the company never shipped the bags, very sad because there are good reviews on the bags but if we cannot even get the bags after being charged over a month ago is just bad customer service.

Received WRONG Luggage (Someone else's!)

Ordered two plain (NON personalized) Carry Ons. One came personalized, someone else's order. Now I am unable to use it for my 4th of July trip.

Very disappointed, especially after doing a lot of research between July, Away, and Monos. I guess I can just use a garbage bag for this trip?
