Full bedroom makeover.

Great delivery service! And a very good quality paint! My bedroom is almost done and is looking fab! I picked up some of your paint in my local DIY shop!
I didn’t even knew they sold it!

I can’t say much about the paint…

I can’t say much about the paint because I ordered a sample, but the delivery came faster then what I thought it would.

Terrible customer service

I was asked to pay for postage to return paint as they could't provide a return label, it cost £16.85 and i would be reimbursed for it. I did this on the 10th of December, I am still waiting to be reimbursed . I did receive an email on the 13th of January its being processed but as of today the 23rd of January still not paid. So basically 6 week wait for approx £17 .Terrible customer service

Great samples

I bought samples from Lick. I love that you can buy stick-on wall samples. I have used their paint in the past and would definitely recommend their paint on quality, texture, colour and durability.

Defective colour and poor customer service

Have brought several tins of the same colour and 1 is not the same. I’ve reached out to customer service and absolutely no help whatsoever all I want is a replacement or refund!

I write this review as a qualified

I write this review as a qualified, professional decorator of 30 years experience. 17 years of running my own business. This is my honest review of Lick Supreme from my point of view.
Firstly, the good bits. The sheen level on this is excellent for a washable coating. It's very flat and definitely up there with F&B Ultra Flat Matt. The cost in comparison to F&B is much more favourable, coming in considerably less but that's where the praise ends I'm afraid.
Just for context, I recommended this paint to a customer whom wanted a flat, washable emulsion that would drench her room including woodwork but she didn't want Farrow and Ball. She selected her colour and I ordered it for her via the Lick website. It took around a week to arrive, which in this day and age with most paint merchants offering 1 - 2 days was a bit disappointing. I even had to chase up the delivery and it took Lick over 24 hours to respond. Not great when I can respond to customers within the hour. The paint is quite thick and needs a good stir, I let out the first coat with about 5% water to allow me to keep a wet edge going a bit longer. I applied over primed, freshly skimmed walls (Caparol Haftprimer- diluted 10% for reference) and this is where the issues became very apparent very quickly. The opacity is horrendous. Going over a white background I expected to have to put a third coat on but as we speak, I have just finished applying the 4th coat and it's still grinning like a Cheshire cat. It doesn't picture frame so that's good but it can pull a little unless you work hard to maintain that wet edge. If you're not a quick worker, I suggest either adding a paint conditioner or do all your cutting, leave for half an hour and then do your rolling. It also doesn't "flow" nicely. Unless you really work that paint up and down the wall, it'll dry very textured and stippled. I'd recommend a light sand between coats if you're as fussy as me.
I'm now out of paint and have to buy more and apply at my own expense because I recommended this product to my customer. I have colour matched in Benjamin Moore Aura and I know that will go for two coats over any colour.
I'm sorry Lick, I wanted to love this paint, I wanted it to be my "go to" for flat, washable, colour drenching matt but I can't recommend it. If you value your time then go for Benjamin Moore Scuff X or Aura. It has a slight higher sheen level but will do the job much better.

Prefect colour and quality paint

Fast service, excellent samples and found my perfect colour that looks exactly like it does online and on the sample. I’d been searching for ages and Lick are fast becoming my favourite paint brand.

Couldn’t recommend enough!

I bought 5 tubs of lick since we started renovating in March. Long process as still not finished! Lick Green no5 was an amazing choice to my bedroom! Orange 01 for my hallway ceiling and my partners office is in nice burgundy colour!
Coverage is amazing and colour are true to shade!

NEVER AGAIN

Bought black for a cloakroom and beige for the hall. Both look horrendous. The black is not wipeable and shows up every splash. It looks awful after 3 weeks and will need redone with a better paint. The hall is equally horrendous. Despite mixing for longer than ever, it looks like 3 different colours on each wall. The painters said it's the worst paint they've used in 20 years. Complete waste of money as will now need to redo both with decent paint.

Best paint I’ve used!

I am loving LICK’s ultra paint so much that I have colour drenched my whole house. It’s so easy to use, goes on like a dream & after 7 days is totally scrubbable. The colours are great, ordering is easy & delivery quick. Highly recommended. Thank you LICK 🙏🏻

I received the wrong colours….

I received the wrong colours….

This was replaced and the colours mismatched (supposed to be the same). Poor quality and now I have to redo everything I’ve done because what should be the same colour is slightly off.

The paint didn't cover the walls very well, a 5L tin only just about managed 2 coats of paint for a small bedroom, whereas other brands 5L tins we had plenty of coverage and paint left!

Appalling unethical company

Appalling company! I purchased whilst on the 3 for 2 offer. I opened one of the 3 tins (£49) and firstly the colour wasn’t a good match to their swatch so I requested a return on the 2 unopened tins. It was explained that that could be done but it would cost me £5 return charge. I have only received £45 back for 2 returned unopened tins! Apparently they don’t fairly split the cost of the tins 3 ways so it transpires I got a refund for only 1 tin because the other was free!!!!!! At no point did they say keep a tin because it was free when I asked them for their returns advice! Unethical and unprofessional customer service.
why would you generate a returns label for a free tin of paint? Noted Your response doesn’t offer to send it back.. as i said unethical!

Your order was placed under our 3 for 2 promotion, where the cheapest item is free, as clearly stated in our terms and conditions at the time of purchase. Refunds under this promotion are calculated by first accounting for the free item.

You returned two unopened tins, one of which was the free promotional item. As free items have no refundable value, the refund was correctly applied only to the paid tin that was returned, resulting in a £44 refund, in line with our published policy.

The promotion does not split the total cost evenly across three items, which is standard practice for this type of offer.

We always aim to be fair, transparent, and consistent with all customers, and we regret that this experience did not meet your expectations.

The paint colours are as they are on samples. Had a issue with the smell of one of the paints but the customer service sorted everything oit for me . Very pleased
