You’ve ruined the Fre case with the new cover for the charging port. Proud owner of multiple cases over the year, willing to overlook how easily the front film becomes scratched to death because every time I’ve dropped one it’s survived. But the charging point cover is the last straw. Moving on to another case maker now.

Awful customer service. I ordered the wrong case for my phone and tried to cancel the order within minutes. Because no one was responsive ( due to covid they say) I had to put in a claim. Within an hour of ordering I was notified that my order was being shipped.

I had to wait for my order to be shipped to me and then go out of my way and send it back where it needed to be processed by the warehouse before getting my return.

5 weeks later and I’m still messaging with them and waiting for my refund. For 4 weeks I was being told that I’d get my refund in 5-7 days.

Every message I sent was glossed over and replied to with minimal concern. I finally kept replying and they said there was a mistake and they’d refund me right away.

I finally got my refund today.. minus the 5 dollars return free. Yes, I am aware the website says that returns are free... which they are obviously not, but whatever. 5 dollars and I’ll never have to do business with them again. Good riddance! I was a loyal customer for 7 years. Even though I’ve had a few phones break while using their case I still liked using the product. Never again!

Part of the convenience of online ordering is not having to do any extra work to buy a product. This has been a disaster and speaks highly about what they think or their customers. If you’re going to over charge for plastic, you might as well allocate some money to pay for folks that will be available to assist customers.

$$$ keep my 5 bucks. Eventually people will stop wasting money on your products.

LifeProof does not honor their lifetime guarantee as promised. I paid a hefty price for their phone case and when they were not willing to replace the case they refused to refund me the cost of the case. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and they are looking into it. Never again!

Beyond garbage.
The screen protector makes selfies blurry.
The lens cover makes normal photos blurry.
The charge port cover fell off making the case useless.
The waterproof gasket fell out
The rubber around the screen separated.
5 dollar cases from eBay offer more protection. This case should have been removed from its packaging and thrown in the bin.

In September of 2020 I purchased a Life Proof fre for my iPhone 11purchased through Amazon. By November the case was completely disintegrating and falling apart! I submitted a warranty claim and received a new case. Its now January and the case is doing the same thing as the other one. Peeling, disintegrating and falling apart. I have tried to get in contact with someone at Life Proof with no luck. Their supposed "live chat" does nothing but take you in circles with no help! It wants me submit another warranty claim but I don't want another one of their cases! I would like to discuss at least a partial refund but that improves impossible. Avoid these cases!!

I purchased a Lifeproof FRE case for iPhone 12 Pro and the face recognition does not work on it. To return a case I have to speak to chat with a live agent during limited hours. Tried to chat with a live agent on 5 different occasions, was placed on hold for over 3 hours and then disconnected. I tied to send emails to support@lifeproof and info@lifeprof and both returned as undeliverable. Due to pandemic, phone customer service is not available. So now I have a defective case and not able to return it within a 30 days return window. This is no way of taking care of loyal long term customers. Very disappointed with Lifeproof.

I recently contacted LIfeProof about a warranty claim for a Samsung 9 FRE case. After having received conformation of the claim they send me a case that was the wrong color. when I contacted them about this they informed me that that color case had been discontinued
LifeProof then informed me that they would send a Next case, but this would not due as I explained that I needed a waterproof case.
The next contact from them informed me that they were unable to validate my warranty claim.
After validating my claim and sending me cases that I didn't request now the warranty is invalid.!
Why did LIfeProof inform me that that warranty FRE case in Black and green was discontinued before sending a purple and coral case.
So If they can not fulfill a warranty they invalidate it
seem a poor way to treat costumers, I believe I will look for another company for a case.
In addition the FRE case I requested is available at Amazon so much for discontinued.

Outrageous price, ($130)!
Supposed to be waterproof but mine seems to get dust inside. Would not trust it in water. The screen is hard to see in the sunlight and has air bubbles. Looks terrible. Would not recommend this product

I am extremely disappointed about my
Life proof experience. For starters, I had this type of oil between the screen and the phone, I’d clean it and it would come back. I looked up methods to get rid of it, still typing away two months later with an oily screen. Lastly, it failed to even protect my phone! My iPhone pro has a cracked camera because this expensive joke “Life Proof” is playing. What angers me most is that they don’t guarantee the product by offering to replace a phone that your product was supposed to protect! Never Again.

I submitted a warranty claim regarding my “Lifeproof iPhone XR slam series case”. After paying the shipping charges for the replacement case, I received an email saying this case was discontinued and another case was shipped,

The case I received is screenless and is not waterproof. The replacement case is not adequate for my needs and is of lesser quality of my original iPhone XR Slam case. I have researched these Lifeproof case sales and it appears they are still available for sale; as well as a similar case for this phone (iPhone XR Punk case). I’m requesting to have one of these waterproof cases shipped to me without any additional shipping fees. I will happily return this screenless iPhone case after I receive a replacement. I have not been successful with contacting customer service, or find an email address to reach out to any other section of the company.

Cheap cases,when I try to warranty my 90 dollar case which is black and green they told me my only choice was a pink and teal cover,well i am a man and that dont work for me.Told me black was discontinued.

My phone is smashed and can’t read the screen don’t waste your money it’s not life proof at al it’s the biggest waste of money on a screen protector

LIFEPROOF covers do NOT protect a phone effectively at all. And if you contact customer service they come up with every excuse in the book to avoid any responsibility for their products not living up to their claims.

I've had LifeProof Fré mobile phone cases for years with my iPhones - mainly 5 / 5s / SE series.

Over the past the rubber edges of the cases started to crumble, then disintegrate, and in one case totally split into may parts.

A week or so ago my SE (new last year) fell in its LifeProof Fré case and the result was that all I can see was a load of lines of many colours - I can hear calls, cannot answer any, cannot see who is calling. Result a phone that is dead effectively.

LifeProof say:

So on contacting customer service they avoid any responsibility on whether a phone is protected or not - the opposite to the protection they claim on their website. Not only do they avoid responsibility and not offer any recompense for a phone NOT protected by their case, they also do their utmost to fob off even replacing a case.........

Sub standard customer service for a sub standard product.

Horrendous. Brand new case failed the water-proof test directed in the install instructions. Lifeproof's website tried to direct me to their warranty form which charges a service fee. It gets worse.

When I finally got to text chat (NO phone support), I was told the product is discontinued. I was offered a cheaper, non-waterproof case and told to buy a $50 screen protector. Essentially zero warranty. Do NOT buy LifeProof if you want to get what you've paid for.

I'll be sure to let all my friends and those on social media know that Lifeproof doesn't stand behind their products. Lifeproof still has the case for the SE listed on their website for sale. So saying that the case is no longer available is an out-and-out lie! It's sad that these companies don't have any problem taking your money and saying you have a life time warranty, but when it comes time to back it up they don't care they already got or money. Lifeproof should regardless have someway to remedy this situation. Even if the case in a different color.

Last night I dropped my phone off of my third story balcony onto the concrete below. I expected it to be distorted, but my life proof case left it without a scratch! The screen was crack free and the case it’s self only had minor damage. I am thankful and amazed at what this case can do! It’s safe to say I will not be going back to an ordinary case again! Thank you Life Proof!

Been a loyal customer since 2012. I use the Lifeproof bike bar mount constantly as im an avid cyclist

Haven't got a new phone in years, fork up the cash for a new iPhone 12 pro, I have it for less than 18hrs and it flew off my bike mount FOUR TIMES. scratched the phone and camera lenses like crazy, lifeproof support initially very fast, explained they cant replace the phone, I get that. Obviously im super pissed, support agreed to replace the case and bike mount free of shipping charges, and then they go ghost for 5 days. ARE YOU KIDDING?? This is the treatment I get? Spend $120 to protect a $1300 phone, and they go complete ghost? at this point I dont know what theyre sending and when, its a new support person who reaches back every time, ive had to explain the situation to them 5 times, its just so frustrating and as far as the no phone service due to covid, HOLY SH** get back on the phones?!? youre a top notch company and you have no phone support due to covid?? lol what is it May? figure it out, if I was as complacent as lifeproof id be broke. But clearly they dont care about the customer so

Really disappointed with Lifeproof’s customer service. The advertised discounts not applied when purchasing multiple iPhone case & customer service don’t even respond to queries / request to cancel the order. Very poor service - you have lost my future business.

I bought the FRE case for iPhone 8 a year ago but don’t believe that it is “LifeProof” at all.
The first thing to go, after about 8 months was one of the small mic/speaker covers at the front of the case near the port.
I work in water sports so the case being waterproof was really important to me, and losing this cover rendered the whole case useless in that sense. Customer support were no help.
The plastic cover over the home button has also become detached, nearly peeling off and exposing the phone to dust and water.
The rubber frame around the edge of the case has also peeled off a lot, which makes the case look worn.
The only credit I can give this case is that it is completely drop proof, I have dropped/launched my phone from many heights on many surfaces and it has always been fine. Though this is arguably achievable with much cheaper cases.
I am disappointed with LifeProof after hearing great things, and I’m sorry that I won’t be buying their products again.

I'm a long-time Lifeproof customer but my new Fre for Apple iPhone SE (second generation) doesn't live up to Lifeproof's performance claims or, in fact, the performance of my previous cases. It is not dust-proof, as claimed. I work in a dusty environment, which is why I chose this particular case. But I have to open the case weekly and clean the phone and case interior. When I do this, I'm noticing the gasket that makes the case waterproof starting to lose elasticity and slip out of its slot. It seems likely that if I have to open the case regularly, it's only a matter of time before the gasket fails. Also, the case interferes with Touch ID. I'm more willing to forgive that, but coupled with the other issues, it's a bummer.
