Lifeproof cases used to be great. I dropped my iPhone 6 from the 7th floor balcony onto concrete, destroyed the case but phone was fine. Now I have paid $115 for a Lifeproof for my new iPhone and it is crap. After four months The film over the camera lenses is so scratched and marked that I have to remove the case to take a photo. Why Lifeproof? Since I didn’t buy it directly from Lifeproof (I’m in Indonesia) there is no warranty so I’m out of luck and they won’t even return my correspondence. Guess it’s back to searching for a good, drop-resistant case. Don’t waste your money.

Bought a life proof case as it advertises, that you can drop it from 2 meters.....drop mine from under 1 metre and now my phone is smashed. Life proof say sorry we can replace your case if you like:-(
We have to pay for the repairs after emailing them.

I bought The iPhone 7 Pro Max it first came out along with the light proof case. I’m not even sure which light proof model I have but it is waterproof and I have dropped it from 8 feet without any problems at all. I didn’t open the case to look but the phone was fine when I picked it up. It’s worn some the exterior corners have worn down to the plastic. After reading the reviews I’m not sure if I will buy another light proof but I like the one I have now. In the past I had an OtterBox and it worked very well. This is the most expensive lite proof Case and it’s worked well for me it as well

They sent me a case for an iPhone 11 pro Max when I’d ordered the 11 pro case.

I sent for return, but postage cost £9 and they would not reimburse me for postage.

Terrible service and bad customer experience.

Also, the case was a “flip style” and the flip did not snuggly fit, it was off centre.

My hand broke out with a NASTY eczema/burn like lesion after using Life proof case for 4-6 weeks. It was HORRIBLE, stay clear away from thus case if your at all latex allergy or sensitive skin. Was right where I held my phone. Have pictures to prove

If I could give them zero stars I would give it a zero. I paid over $50 for the phone case first time we dropped the phone and broke the phone.

I have had this case for a little over a week on my iphone 11 so im not rough with the phone and the fitment is already poor the case is squeaking and scratching on the back. waste of a 100 dollars.

I will never buy life proof case again they they are not worth the money and don’t hold up

Do not buy any LifeProof case for your cellphone, They do not honour the warranty. My replacement case has failed and now Otter Products in Australia will not replace this because the date of the receipt for the ORIGINAL case has expired. Terrible.

So My son dropped his phone at school with a life proof case on. He comes home and the back of his phone is cracked but the case is fine. So the case failed to do its job. I didn’t pay for the case to protect itself it’s supposed to protect the phone

I have owned Lifeproof products since my S4. Since Otterbox bought them things have gone downhill. My S8 case had to replaced about 10-12 times, literally. The volume up and down buttons kept breaking. I am still finding those cases and recycling them.

On August 12th, reluctantly, I bought an S10+ case hoping they had fixed the problems prior to this. They had not.

On August 20th the case arrived. The USB cover on my case would not close and remain closed. I wrote to Lifeproof stating the following:

"I am a bit disappointed with this latest case. I have not decided whether to get you to replace it or to get a refund... I have been aware that, year on year, Lifeproof's quality has just deteriorated... and I do not know whether I want to continue on using your products.

If you could reply and tell me what resolutions you have in mind, what my options are, then I can make a decision as to how to proceed."

There was no response, so to protect my money I opened a PayPal dispute.

On the 26th August Otterbox/Lifeproof dispatched a new case.

I informed them that I did not want the new case and would rather the refund. I also asked them how to return both cases. I was told that there was no need to return the cases, as there was no mechanism to refund the postage.

The customer service agent I was dealing with did make a polite request that I photograph the case and send her photos, which I said I could do when I was less busy (at that time I was preparing and packing for a house move that I am kinda still going through).

AT THIS POINT THEY SHOULD HAVE REFUNDED, THEY DID NOT.

It ended up that I had to escalate to a PayPal dispute. PayPal then "investigated" and, after further evidence from Otterbox, decided I had to return the cases.

When I consulted with Otterbox they told me they did not want the cases back, but that they could not control PayPal (wut??? You can issue a refund if you want, Otterbox) and that I had not sent photos and therefore they could not issue a refund???

Here are the facts:

1) I bought a case and it was faulty.

2) I requested a dialogue because I was not sure I wanted a replacement.

3) They sent a replacement.

4) I made clear I did not want a replacement and offered to return the items, they refused the return because they could not refund me the postage.

5) They agreed to the refund as they should under Distance Selling Laws.

6) They did not issue the refund.

7) They have told PayPal that they will not issue a refund until I return product.

8) They have told me that they do not want the product back but I cannot have the refund until I conduct a photoshoot. This is Otterbox making up their own laws and contrary to my rights as a consumer.

It is rubbish and confusing customer service. I have started a chargeback on my card.

The latch broke after 1 1/2 Years not covered, What’s LifeProof about this product,do not buy junk

The latch for the charging housing doesn’t stay latched which makes it not LifeProof. Complete design flaw. Choose another brand.

I live in canada. Site said shipping $9.99 to canada. Got charged over $16. Then the price does NOT meet the cheap plastic mould quality. I mean after currency conversion it was over $137CAD for a flimsy cheap piece of plastic which was never told price was in USD. sure I got my case in 2 days from ordering but this case I got for my S10 is worth only $10 at the most. Highly disappointed. 1st and last time customer and after reading these reviews about the back of the phones cracking from the cases themselves... I've since taken my 20 min old case off my phone to save me replacing my $1400 phone. Stay away people

What a piece of crap! Don't waste your money. They are great for about 6 weeks, but forget it after that. I am not tough on phones or cases at all. My daughter's case became a problem at about 6 weeks after she got hers too.

On my 4th Nuud case ( 3 replaced under warranty) in 20 months. This case is absolute rubbish and should be recalled immediately. Provides no protection to the phone, the face seal detaches and stretches from the case and the outer rubber bumper comes off within months. Lifeproof are not interested in fixing this problem. Avoid this product and company at all costs, you will simply destroy your phone .

i dropped my phone off of a 100 foot cliff into water and it was perfectly fine, very impressed.

Lifeproof has the best phone cases; I've owned two of them for my iPhones. And, their warranty service and customer service is second to none. Highly recommend LifeProof!!!

I just placed a warranty for my cell phone case with the sweetest young lady (wish I knew her name😬) at LIFEPROOF in Fort Collins, Colorado. I am still sitting here in Alaska thinking she was SO helpful with the process. I have absolutely loved my LIFEPROOF case . It has been the best case I have ever had!!! Thank you again for helping me on my warranty problem and for standing by your incredible products. I would never buy anything else for my cell phones..my husband agrees!! I highly recommend 👍
