These products are absolutely terrible, and for someone who's life isn't all that rough in regards to my day to day activities that could potentially break a product, its laughable the company is called "LifeProof".

Let's start with the phone case - the original one I purchased (sorry its been over two years so don't remember the exact model) for my iphone 7s broke within a month of purchase (latch for charger). When I went to get a new one for the warranty, they were no longer selling that model and was given the option of the Fre or the Next, neither of which I really liked all that much. Since then I have gone through 1 Fre and 2 Next and they continually have issues (Home Button/Camera Cover tears, charger latch, etc).

That gets me to where I am really irritated. I bought the Aquaphonics AQ9 speaker and it broke simply by my trying to close the latch. Didn't drop it, it just broke doing what it was supposed to be able to do. The first two times I tried to call for warranty support (you cant just submit the claim online) I had to wait on hold for 20 minutes + each and had to drop. When I finally gt through to someone, I waited on hold for 40 minutes, and when I was transferred to a "supervisor" they had no idea why I was calling (the previous agent clearly didn't fill them in). They had the nerve to tell me that in order for me to get a replacement (it was within the year of purchase) I had to mail it to them, wait for them to "access the damage", and then PAY 20 DOLLARS FOR A REPLACEMENT?!?! Way to stand behind your products guys... clearly the piece of garbage you pass off as "Lifeproof" isn't remotely living up to that billing, and the fact that I had to wait 40 minutes for you to tell me that is laughable. Will never buy another product from this company, was a mistake to buy the speaker after I had already established the cases were garbage.

Got a LifeProof case for my pixel 2 XL because it offered a warranty. Then found out it was only for the case when I dropped the case and both the case and my phone broke together. Then found out when they decide to discontinue the case for the phone that you have the only thing they'll offer is 30% off another one of their products. They don't honor their warranties, would never do business with them again.

Completely trusted my new iPhone XS Max to LifeProof Fre which was purchased in March of 2019. I began having a cloudy picture, so I opened up the case, which is something that I never do, and the back side was completely cracked. It has spread everywhere. Shocked and very disappointed by this.

Phoned about my address not coming through on the website when I was making a claim. The guy was awesome to talk to, did the best he could to make things work also made me feel less frustrated from all the issues we approached in 25- 30 minutes. Thank you so much 😇

1. I have never opened the case and yet, the back of my phone is ALL cracked up.
2. My screen becomes unresponsive after making a call. Can’t use my keypad, speaker or even the end button. Very frustrating.
3. If rest my phone on my shoulder for a second the person on the other end can not hear me.
4. Called life proof to see if they could do anything about the back of my phone being cracked and they of course can not do anything about it unless something was wrong with the case itself. Seems like they should change the name from life proof as the name itself is false for the product it sells.
5. Too expensive for the protection it provides.
My next purchase will be an otter as I should have in the beginning, otter has never failed me.

Got the most expensive case for Galaxy S5. Gotten a couple replacements. Now I need another, but Lifeproof informed me the warranty is for the life of the case not the device. This means when they discontinue the case you're screwed. Save your money...

If you buy any case, buy this case. I have tried everything from outterbox to speck to case mate! This case protected my phone when I was going 30 miles per hour in my Jeep when my phone flew out the window. My phone didn’t even have a scratch when I got it! I was so shocked and amazed at how much this case protected my phone. Lifeproof cases are worth every penny!

my lifeproof case has lasted 5 months. Like most other reviews on here. They also have no way of getting in touch with them unless you purchase directly from them - the contact form only works with an order number from them.

I never thought I would be writing a bad review for a brand that I totally trusted for years. I always bought a lifeproof cover for my cell phones.
Last year I bough a lifeproof cover for the S10 samsung, I had to get replacement for it two times because it wasn't as good quality as I had experienced before. My phone fell face first and my screen cracked. I called lifeproof and told them I been with them for years and if they can accommodate me beings that I've faithly believed in their product and that they can look up the history. They DECLINED!
So if you're are thinking about buying one think twice. What a shame!
The cases I bought were the Fré covers.

Terrible case, the rubber fell apart after three months and they refused to honour the warranty because I didn't know the serial number. The serial number is on the box it comes in, why would I keep that? Stay away from this company

I will say, the water proof lifeproof case is awesome, however the basic life proof case... I have had it for a few months, at first is proved pretty durable. Unfortunately as time went on, the rubber surrounding the plastic has been stretching something fierce! 80% of my rubber has stretched so badly, I had to cut it off. It started on the inside, and gradually started peeling away from the outside. As of now, I only have the volume buttons and plug in ports protected. It's very aggravating. I would go back to Verizon to pick up a new case, however I really don't see the point. Its proven to be inferior to it's big brother, the water proof case. Which I rate 5 stars for sure! Sadly this case is truly inferior in every way.

As a person who has many things going on in my life I have in the past put my phone on top of my car and left it there when I took off and the results of this ended in my phone destroyed and scattered across the road in several pieces. However, today I put my phone on top of my car and took off on the highway once I remembered I turned around to go retrieve my phone and it was laying in the middle of the other lane and perfect condition with a few road rash scrapes on the case. LifeProof is quality approved

I have purchased 2 cases through lifeproof and the cases and each of them only lasted 4 months. so I will never buy another case!!

Absolutely MEDIOCRE case to use as “protection” for your phone. Very thankful I bought a lifeproof case only to have the glass crack on the back of my XR. I bought the phone in January and used the LifeProof case from the moment I opened my phone from the package. Today marked the first time ever taking my phone out to wipe down the lifeproof screen and I find that my phone back is cracked in multiple places. Thanks for everything LifeProof. What. A. Joke.

In the Thanksgiving of 2018, my family was invited to my sister's boyfriend's log cabin to celebrate. He asked if I wanted to go snow mobiling, and I'd never done that before. I said sure. After a loop around their property in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, I asked if I could hang off the back and we do the same route except I use my stomach as a sled while the motor pulls us forward. He obliged. Now, in retrospect, I realize that I should've left my phone inside. It fell out. I spent at least 6 hours with a metal rake combing through the freshly laid snow. Nothing. He had hunting cameras set up throughout the property, catching me in the act, but not losing the phone. All hope was lost. Over 5 months later, I get a text from my sister saying that her boyfriend found my phone. I didn't think it'd still work. I gave her a call... "What's your passcode?" she had plugged it in, turned it on, and it still worked. Remarkable. Kudos to iPhone and to LifeProof. This was either a iPhone 6 or 6s, I don't remember and won't find out until I get the phone back in the mail. I'm ecstatic, I've been using a flip phone since I lost that one. Shout out to LifeProof, protecting my iPhone from the elements during the winter months. Truly a remarkable case.

If you need to replace a screen protector and remove the case it is pretty much junk, the gasket will not go back in and becomes unusable. Waste of money DO NOT BUY

Only problem I have with my life proof case is most times I try to activate my speaker during a call and it won’t register through the case. It does everywhere else except where the speaker icon is at. I thought maybe the screen or inside of clear case had something on it and was causing it to stick so I cleaned them but that didn’t help out. Other than that, I have no complaints even though it’s frustrating ripping the case off during a call just to put someone on speaker.

Life proof cover til Iphone lever op til sit navn... i en måned! Her står adaptoren til hovedtelofonerne af. Og det er rigtig surt, hele tiden at skulle have telefonen ud af coveret for at anvende hovedtelefoner. Så er pointen med at købe coveret ligesom væk. Efter ca 3-4 måneder begynder gummikanten på fronten at løsne sig, og vandtætheden er en saga blot. Dernæst begynder det hele mere eller mindre at skille ad. Jeg har været dum nok til at købe 3 covere, fordi jeg håbede, at der ville ske forbedringer, og fordi vandtætte covere med adaptore er svære at finde. Alle 3 covere har lidt ovenstående skæbne. Utrolig dårligt produkt til prisen!

The csr was great. My phone case was $80... defective and I have to pay shipping and handling for a defective phone case which this is the second one I am replacing same issue... I could have went to 5 below...I have gotten cases there way way less and lasted way way longer. Disappointed. I see why they charge shipping because they may be out of business if they have to keep shipping replacements of defective product.

Ok, I have a Lifeproof case over my Google Pixel 2 phone. Don't like the phone much but the case saved me from having to get a new phone. I got stuck in a swap hole with my 4 Wheeler. In my efforts to free my wheeler my phone fell out of my pocket in the muck. I didn't realize it fell out of my pocket. About ten minutes later I realized I lost the phone. I back tracked to the mud hole in the swamp. Looked for several hours for the phone, no luck. I then borrowed my neighbors phone try and get me phone to ring. Heard no ring (later I found out, no signal). It was dark by this time. Went back in the morning (about 10 hours later). After about another hour of looking through the water and mud I found my phone in the wheeler tracks covered with about 1/2" off really wet swamp sludge. Phone still worked. Cover had a couple scratches, the charging port was muddy, and the speaker was not as loud as it should have been. Cleaned the mud out of the charging port and the phone charged like it should. The speaker got louder as it dried. This case saved my pocket book and stress load.
