This app promotes the locating of lost phones however, you need to accept a text on the lost phone for it to work. Initial 50p for the information and then £39.95 per month. I cancelled withing 24 hours andthey still took the money. When the complaint was raised and received 50% refund. Really can't be bothered to argue the toss. Probably best not to entertain these guys.

I need my money they charged $39.50 twice. I am going to contact the FBI. Stop

I've not used this company, but from the outset the website says that the 50p charge is for 24 hr access, AFTER which you will be charged the 29.95 monthly fee. It's quite clear. So pay the 50p, and cancel the account straight away. Dont wait. You'll have 24 hrs to locate your phone. I can't comment on whether it actually DOES locate your phone as I haven't used it...but the website is clear and transparent enough if you read it.

Does not locate phone. Just sends a message which is no good if there is nobody to answer it. Then sets up an auto payment of $59.95 per month. Complete scam, avoid

Service didnt do what I wanted, but I got a full refund, so that isn't too bad.

I discovered recently that I have been charged £29,95, a month for a service called locate my phone.co.uk

 I had made one trip to the website in June to get a phone number and thought I was only paying 50p but according to small print - which must've been very small- I apparently entered into a contract to have this figure of nearly £30 taken from my account every month.
Today, I phoned them to complain about this, and the lady I spoke to was very helpful and charming and agreed to cancel this recurring payment and to refund my November payment, and when I pressured her a little bit more, she has now agreed to fund all the payments since September

Not only did it not work, after taking the initial 50p they took another £19.95 each month until I noticed and stopped. I ended up being £60.35 out of pocket.

Was the best website to find a membership I would like to recommend

How this company is aloud to operate is beyond me.
Paid 50p for not locating my phone and then charged £29.99!!
Emailed them straightaway but obviously no response!!

SCAMMERS. Same as above, immediately stopped payment on my card and got refunded, even the 50p. They are playing the numbers game, hoping enough of us won't notice, or don't realise we can get our money back.

Appalling. Took £29.95 from my account when I thought I was paying only 50p.

it was a good and easy app

I almost fell for this scam until i checked with companies house and noticed a discrepancy in their registered office address and SURESTREAM DIGITAL LIMITED doesn't have any reviews at all on trustpilot. Then i entered Locatemyphone and found 90% negative reviews. Thanks Trustpilot.

I signed up to this scam website that reputed to find my iphone. After chasing them got a reply back said they do not track or recover lost phones, totally opposite to what the site states. Therefore do not sign up it is a waste of money and time

Another unhappy customer who paid 50p to "try" and locate my phone (it couldnt) then 24 hours later was charged £29.95 subscription fee, which i did not sign up for. This company should be closed down

Scam, do not use it!!!

Bit misleading/scammy.
When you type in a phone number is shows some info and a map it says pay to unlock the map view. However once you pay, only then does it tell you that you need the email address to sync the phone that you want to trackm

Very sceptical to give this a try. Husband lost his phone and we were on holiday in Gran Canaria. He used his work phone through the site to try and locate it, paid the 50p and it then kept showing success, found phone, but was the work phone he was using.
So I tried on my phone, and it located his phone. We drove to the location, not expecting it to be there but it was!!

The information it provides is excellent, location was exact so clearly uses your phones gps. Remotely, you can wipe your phone clean, you can turn your phone on, and the best feature for us was the ability to make your phone ring for 5 minutes even if your phone isn’t on loud. This ring cannot be answered or cancelled by the lost phone. This saved us the phone, as it was found nowhere near where we lost it, so someone had picked it up, and dumped it when we did the first 5 minute continuous ring! We followed the gps and did a second ring when right on top of it!

Not had any issues with them taking the £30 yet, but after we have read the other reviews we have since closed the account.

So, it does work, provided you have access to the gmail account used it you have an Android.
