I began using Login.gov so that I can use the Social Security website. During the setup, everything was going well until I got to the part where Login.gov wanted a picture of my face and photo ID. I took and submitted the pictures via my Android phone. But later on, Login.gov said that it couldn't read my photo ID, and that I needed to take another picture of the ID and submit it. When I went to do this, Login.gov would not let me log in. It said that I needed to provide a passkey. Say what? I did not remember even creating a passkey in my Android phone. I tried to use some numbers (screen saver, pin number), but nothing worked. So I guess I'm locked out.

No phone call or text. Can't set it up. ID me is just as bad. Can't seem to change an old ph# to new. Both seem to be crappy.

Login.gov oh my God this is just one example of Trump's agenda to fire people who have no intellect no intelligence and no common sense oh my God. I gave this website a video for facial recognition, my social security number, my address, my email, and still, because my phone numbers changed they keep telling me to put in another phone number that I'm recognized with cuz they don't can't connect me to my phone number the phone number I've had from AT&T now for the last 7 months. You can't give him an old phone number because if you do that then they'll send a code to an old phone number you can't get the code on. This is what Trump's talking about morons idiots no common sense it's embarrassing to our country just fire everyone who got a job in the past 5 years because they all came off of social media where their intellectually retarded. This place cannot let me into my own account on social security and social security offers no help they keep sending you back to the same people to get into your account which you own on social security and these people can't help you no matter how much information you give them there's always another wall another wall another wall that you hit because they're not set up to handle common sense. I've written them three times no one answers that's woke that's the democratic system in Pennsylvania. And I don't get it we can't move forward as a nation with the Democrats laying in the road with their arms stretched out doing absolutely nothing but smoking marijuana and staring up at the sun laughing I mean it just seems that it is that bad in this country why would they legalize a drug that paralyzes the mind when we're already caught after covid and an epidemic of stupid!? This is absolutely a terrible place to help you log in cuz it doesn't. There's no way to change your phone number they own every piece of identification I have now they could wind up giving that to illegals crossing the border they could wind up giving it to telemarketer companies they absolutely should not be allowed to collect all this information social security without having to hire outside companies that we then have to jump through hurdles and walls and bricks and just to try to get into an account to get a benefits letter. Does anybody realize how frustrating it is when they put companies and people ahead of you that you have to go through to get done what you need to get done when the car complete idiots and morons and they don't know what they're doing stop hiring community college we have run out of people that can be taught people that can become educated or intelligent.

Useless when you are overseas, without a US phone number, and you only find that out after wasting tons of time!

I put in my correct information and it won't ID you. You try six times and it blocks you for 6 hours. You try again and of course it does not work. Completely worthless. Should get 0 stars but they don't have that option.

I ordered a book from ' World of Books"
A " Wallace and Gromit " adapatation.
Only the world " internal" appeared as to the condition.
Upon arrival it was found to be badly creased , bumped and marked, undeed, it is only fit for rhe dustbin

It validates the images, tells you "success", then redirects you to "we can't read your ID". 15 times over 2 days. Why? I can read all the details in the picture and my eyes are terrible. And why do they make you hold the camera sideways to take a worse picture Instead of holding the camera the same way you position the ID. I even tried a different phone thinking it was my camera, nope, their system is just designed to not work, period. Absolutely useless system and it's the only way to use government services online. Pathetic.

Login.gov is a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. My drivers license was taken (front and back) with precise accuracy.

No matter how perfect the pictures, they INSIST the photos are not clear.

PLEASE people, don't use login.com verification.

like many others I encountered login problems. Then I remembered that some government websites do have problems with smartphones/android phones. I then went onto my laptop and completed the process in under 10 minutes. I realise that not everyone has a laptop and a phone, but i feel this maybe the problem and I have fed this back to the gov.uk website

I believe this company are scammers and is gaining people's PI for fraudulent use, because when I tried to getting onto the sites it was redirecting me elsewhere and stating my password and information was incorrect and it aalso had me submit a snapshot of my drivers license and a photo which was scanned in. I'm totally concerned about my information has been compromised.

Ridiculous what I'm having to go through. Took for everyone to verify my identity. Apparently they don't take into consideration that people age & look different from their license photo. Now they say they can't verify my phone even though they've already texted me several codes to the number I'm trying to verify for my identity

Most convoluted, useless website of all time. Makes you verify the same information again and again and AGAIN. Website is incapable of parsing basic data entry fields like name and address, causes internal errors and sends you through a loop of useless help desk articles or trying to confirm your name and address again. I've been waiting close to an hour on the phone for an agent to help with no end in sight. Refuses to accept passports as valid IDs even though it requires a higher burden of proof to obtain them. I need my ID verified so I can download my DD214 while it's still accessible on VMPF but this garbage website (that I am willing to bet my savings account was programmed by H1B visa holders) is holding me hostage in the process.

ETA: After being on hold for an hour and a half my call was finally answered and I was told this has been an issue for about the last hour and a half (the exact time I was waiting for an agent to answer my call) and I should try another day to verify the info on my state ID to generate the barcode for the post office. Monumental waste of time and government money. There should be an investigation into how this website is being managed.

No way I can access my important information anymore. Absolute piece of shit product, system, and organization.

As one of the unfortunates that have gone through the Login.gov's self-verification process, my experience today was a disaster. After an hour or so of taking selfies over and over again because the program tends to glitch out, I finally advanced to the step of having them send me a code by phone. But they don't recognize my phone number, the same one I've been using for 10+ years. Do they want my previous phone number from years ago, the one from which I'd never receive their code because I no longer have that number?!? I thought, ok, I'll make an appointment to do this in person at the post office. But the first step to that is - you guessed it - they need my phone number to send me a code to verify it's my number. And I can't use my current phone number because they don't recognize it, and the loop goes on and on and on and ...

Didn't they use to offer MAILING the code to the home address? What's up with that??

Long story short, I went to ID.me instead. They too want to verify my phone number, but failing that you can complete the verification process with a live agent online.

I have tried to get set up on this site to access SSA several times. I can get past the photo items and get all the codes etc. sent to my phone but when I try to log in it says we couldn't match you to this number. I have deleted the account as they suggest, and end up with the same result. They suggest also doing this in person at a post office. I called two of the locatons they say this can be done at and they both said they don't do that. This is beyond frustrating. The only phone number I can find is just a recording of all the non-helpful things I found online. I've submitted a ticket for help but I'm not hopeful that will work either.

I've been trying to get into my social security account periodically since 2020. I've tried for the past 6 months on this site and tried the other option they offer to verify my identity. They weren't able to identify my phone number, even though I responded to a code they sent me. Today, I tried to fill out the form so I can go in person, but they insist that the info is wrong. It is correct. I spoke with someone from the office months ago. They couldn't help me, but verified the information I was giving them was correct. They should change the process back to sending a code in the mail because if there is a glitch or mistake in their files, the current process is inefficient. It's inefficient because I can't go in person or online to self-identify, and no one could help me when I called.

I would give it a zero, if that was an option. It’s saying that it can’t match my addresses, so I can’t access necessary systems, like those necessary as a federal employee and the VA. The people who designed this article govt incompetent jackasses. Fire all of them!

0 stars should be an option. For those of us who live where cell phone service is near nonexistant the site is completely useless. My landline is through an internet cable company, so that's not acceptable for authentication. What Administration made these idiots fix what wasn't broken? Unfix fixing the site, until then, keep snail mailing me information a year late.

They get a 1 only because 0 isn't an option. The verification of driver's license and facial ID is completely broken. I tried numerous times and it never worked. Another example of gov ineptness creating loads of extra work with no benefit to the user.

Worst system ever! Sometimes works, but then other times you need to go through the ridiculous verification process of taking a photo of your license and face again. The link Login.gov sends to you phone, rarely works.

Then after all the trouble, you need to fill out a form and take it to the Post Office for verification

My best recommendation is to fire every programmer involved in the terrible system, and get ones who know how to program.
